Jerusalém tem sido governada por grandes reis que tiveram poder sobre toda a província além do rio Eufrates, e a eles se pagavam os direitos, os impostos e os pedágios.

Y que reyes fuertes hubo en Jerusalem, quienes señorearon en todo lo que está á la parte allá del río; y que tributo, y pecho, y rentas se les daba.
