Wenn es dem König gut erscheint, sollten deshalb (nun) im Schatzhaus des Königs dort {das} in Babel Nachforschungen angestellt werden, ob es einen vom König Kyrus erteilten Befehl gibt, dieses Haus Gottes in Jerusalem wiederaufzubauen (zu bauen). Und den Willen (die Entscheidung) des Königs hinsichtlich dieser Angelegenheit sollte man (er) an uns übermitteln (senden).“
