Esdras 5

Or, Aggée le prophète, et Zacharie, fils d'Addo, firent, devant les Juifs qui se trouvaient en Juda et à Jérusalem, au nom du Dieu d'Israël, une prophétie qui les concernait.

Y PROFETIZARON Haggeo profeta, y Zacarías hijo de Iddo, profetas, á los Judíos que estaban en Judá y en Jerusalem yendo en nombre del Dios de Israel á ellos.

Then the prophets, Haggai the prophet, and Zechariah the son of Iddo, prophesied unto the Jews that were in Judah and Jerusalem in the name of the God of Israel, even unto them.

Alors, Zorobabel, fils de Salathiel, et Josué, fils de Josedec, se mirent en avant, et ils commencèrent à bâtir le temple de Dieu à Jérusalem, et les prophètes de Dieu étaient avec eux, leur prêtant secours.

Entonces se levantaron Zorobabel hijo de Sealthiel, y Jesuá hijo de Josadec; y comenzaron á edificar la casa de Dios que estaba en Jerusalem; y con ellos los profetas de Dios que les ayudaban.

Then rose up Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and began to build the house of God which is at Jerusalem: and with them were the prophets of God helping them.

En ce temps-là, Thanthanaï, gouverneur de ce côté de l'Euphrate, et Satharbuzanaï, et les autres serviteurs du roi, vinrent à eux, et leur dirent : Qui a fait en votre faveur un édit pour que vous bâtissiez ce temple et que vous fassiez ces apprêts ?

En aquel tiempo vino á ellos Tatnai, capitán de la parte allá del río, y Sethar-boznai y sus compañeros, y dijéronles así: ¿Quién os dió mandamiento para edificar esta casa, y restablecer estos muros?

At the same time came to them Tatnai, governor on this side the river, and Shethar-boznai, and their companions, and said thus unto them, Who hath commanded you to build this house, and to make up this wall?

At the same time Tattenai, the governor beyond the River, came to them, with Shetharbozenai and their companions, and asked them, “Who gave you a decree to build this house and to finish this wall?”

Et ils ajoutèrent : Quels sont les noms des hommes qui bâtissent cette ville ?

Entonces les dijimos en orden á esto cuáles eran los nombres de los varones que edificaban este edificio.

Then said we unto them after this manner, What are the names of the men that make this building?

They also asked for the names of the men who were making this building.

Mais les yeux de Dieu étaient ouverts sur la captivité de Juda, et ces hommes ne suspendirent pas les travaux jusqu'à ce qu'un édit fût fait par Darius. Et alors, à ce sujet, le collecteur des impôts envoya

Mas los ojos de su Dios fueron sobre los ancianos de los Judíos, y no les hicieron cesar hasta que el negocio viniese á Darío: y entonces respondieron por carta sobre esto.

But the eye of their God was upon the elders of the Jews, that they could not cause them to cease, till the matter came to Darius: and then they returned answer by letter concerning this matter.

La traduction de la lettre qu'avaient écrite, pour le roi Darius, Thanthanaï, gouverneur de ce côté de l'Euphrate ; Satharbuzanaï et les autres Apharsachéens, serviteurs du roi, sur la rive droite de l'Euphrate.

Traslado de la carta que Tatnai, capitán de la parte allá del río, y Sethar-boznai, y sus compañeros los Apharsachêos, que estaban á la parte allá del río, enviaron al rey Darío.

The copy of the letter that Tatnai, governor on this side the river, and Shethar-boznai, and his companions the Apharsachites, which were on this side the river, sent unto Darius the king:

Ils avaient écrit pour lui un rapport, et voici en quels termes : Paix entière au roi Darius.

Enviáronle carta, y de esta manera estaba escrito en ella. Al rey Darío toda paz.

They sent a letter unto him, wherein was written thus; Unto Darius the king, all peace.

Que le roi sache que nous sommes allés en Judée dans le temple du grand Dieu ; or, ce temple est rebâti en pierres de choix, et des bois sont placés sur les murs, et ce travail est bien exécuté, et il va bien entre leurs mains.

Sea notorio al rey, que fuimos á la provincia de Judea, á la casa del gran Dios, la cual se edifica de piedra de mármol; y los maderos son puestos en las paredes, y la obra se hace apriesa, y prospera en sus manos.

Be it known unto the king, that we went into the province of Judea, to the house of the great God, which is builded with great stones, and timber is laid in the walls, and this work goeth fast on, and prospereth in their hands.

Après l'avoir vu, nous avons interrogé les anciens, et nous leur avons ainsi parlé : Qui a fait en votre faveur un édit pour que vous bâtissiez ce temple, et que vous fassiez ces apprêts ?

Entonces preguntamos á los ancianos, diciéndoles así: ¿Quién os dió mandamiento para edificar esta casa, y para restablecer estos muros?

Then asked we those elders, and said unto them thus, Who commanded you to build this house, and to make up these walls?

Et nous leur avons demandé leurs noms, afin de te les faire connaître, et de prendre par écrit les noms de leurs chefs.

Y también les preguntamos sus nombres para hacértelo saber, para escribirte los nombres de los varones que estaban por cabezas de ellos.

We asked their names also, to certify thee, that we might write the names of the men that were the chief of them.

Et voici ce qu'ils nous ont répondu : Nous sommes les serviteurs du Dieu du ciel et de la terre, et nous relevons ce temple qui avait été construit il y a bien des années ; un grand roi d'Israël l'avait bâti, et il l'avait établi pour son peuple.

Y respondiéronnos, diciendo así: Nosotros somos siervos del Dios del cielo y de la tierra, y reedificamos la casa que ya muchos años antes había sido edificada, la cual edificó y fundó el gran rey de Israel.

And thus they returned us answer, saying, We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and build the house that was builded these many years ago, which a great king of Israel builded and set up.

Empero el primer año de Ciro rey de Babilonia, el mismo rey Ciro dió mandamiento para que esta casa de Dios fuese edificada.

Et il a retiré du temple du roi les vases d'or et d'argent du temple de Dieu, enlevés de Jérusalem par Nabuchodonosor, et placés dans le temple de Babylone, et il les a remis au trésorier Sabanasar ;

Y también los vasos de oro y de plata de la casa de Dios, que Nabucodonosor había sacado del templo que estaba en Jerusalem, y los había metido en el templo de Babilonia, el rey Ciro los sacó del templo de Babilonia, y fueron entregados á Sesbassar, al cual había puesto por gobernador;

And the vessels also of gold and silver of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took out of the temple that was in Jerusalem, and brought them into the temple of Babylon, those did Cyrus the king take out of the temple of Babylon, and they were delivered unto one, whose name was Sheshbazzar, whom he had made governor;

Et il lui a dit : Prends tous ces vases, pars, et remets-les à leur place dans le temple de Jérusalem.

Y le dijo: Toma estos vasos, ve y ponlos en el templo que está en Jerusalem; y la casa de Dios sea edificada en su lugar.

And said unto him, Take these vessels, go, carry them into the temple that is in Jerusalem, and let the house of God be builded in his place.

Alors, ce Sabanasar est venu, et il a jeté les fondations du temple de Dieu à Jérusalem ; depuis ce temps ; jusqu'à cette heure, on a travaillé à le construire, et il n'est pas encore achevé.

Entonces este Sesbassar vino, y puso los fundamentos de la casa de Dios que estaba en Jerusalem, y desde entonces hasta ahora se edifica, y aun no está acabada.

Then came the same Sheshbazzar, and laid the foundation of the house of God which is in Jerusalem: and since that time even until now hath it been in building, and yet it is not finished.

Et maintenant, si le roi le trouve bon, qu'il fasse faire des recherches dans le palais du trésor du roi de Babylone, afin de s'assurer que le roi Cyrus a fait un édit pour que le temple de Dieu fût relevé en Jérusalem ; et, quand le roi s'en sera informé, qu'il envoie auprès de vous.

Y ahora, si al rey parece bien, búsquese en la casa de los tesoros del rey que está allí en Babilonia, si es así que por el rey Ciro había sido dado mandamiento para edificar esta casa de Dios en Jerusalem, y envíenos á decir la voluntad del rey sobre esto.

Now therefore, if it seem good to the king, let there be search made in the king’s treasure house, which is there at Babylon, whether it be so, that a decree was made of Cyrus the king to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and let the king send his pleasure to us concerning this matter.
