Car Esdras avait appliqué son cœur à étudier la loi de l'Eternel et à la mettre en pratique, et à enseigner en Israël statuts et ordonnances.

Porque Esdras había preparado su corazón para inquirir la ley de Jehová, y para hacer y enseñar á Israel mandamientos y juicios.

For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.
