Esto fue porque Esdras se había propuesto estudiar y obedecer las leyes del Señor, y ser un maestro de la Palabra de Dios y enseñar las leyes al pueblo de Israel.

Porque Esdras había preparado su corazón para inquirir la ley de Jehová, y para hacer y enseñar á Israel mandamientos y juicios.

For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.

For Ezra had set his heart to seek the LORD’s law, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel.
