6Esdras, que llegó de Babilonia, era un maestro muy versado en las leyes que el Señor había dado al pueblo de Israel por medio de Moisés. Pidió que se le permitiera regresar a Jerusalén, y el rey le concedió su petición, porque Esdras contaba con la ayuda del Señor.

6Este Esdras subió de Babilonia, el cual era escriba diligente en la ley de Moisés, que Jehová Dios de Israel había dado; y concedióle el rey, según la mano de Jehová su Dios sobre él, todo lo que pidió.

6This Ezra went up from Babylon; and he was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which the LORD God of Israel had given: and the king granted him all his request, according to the hand of the LORD his God upon him.
