Esdras 9

Als nun solches alles ausgerichtet war, traten die Obersten zu mir und sprachen: Das Volk Israel und die Priester und Leviten hielten sich nicht abgesondert von den Völkern der Länder, trotz ihrer Greuel, nämlich von den Kanaanitern, Hetitern, Pheresitern, Jebusitern, Ammonitern, Moabitern, Ägyptern und Amoritern.

Y ACABADAS estas cosas, los príncipes se llegaron á mí, diciendo: El pueblo de Israel, y los sacerdotes y Levitas, no se han apartado de los pueblos de las tierras, de los Cananeos, Hetheos, Pherezeos, Jebuseos, Ammonitas, y Moabitas, Egipcios, y Amorrheos, haciendo conforme á sus abominaciones.

Now when these things were done, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands, doing according to their abominations, even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.

Now when these things were done, the princes came near to me, saying, “The people of Israel, the priests, and the Levites have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands, following their abominations, even those of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.

Denn sie haben deren Töchter genommen für sich und ihre Söhne und haben den heiligen Samen mit den Völkern der Länder vermischt; und die Hand der Obersten und Vornehmsten ist in dieser Missetat die erste gewesen.

Porque han tomado de sus hijas para sí y para sus hijos, y la simiente santa ha sido mezclada con los pueblos de las tierras; y la mano de los príncipes y de los gobernadores ha sido la primera en esta prevaricación.

For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass.

Als ich nun solches hörte, zerriß ich mein Kleid und meinen Rock und raufte mir das Haar und den Bart aus und saß bestürzt da.

Lo cual oyendo yo, rasgué mi vestido y mi manto, y arranqué de los cabellos de mi cabeza y de mi barba, y sentéme atónito.

And when I heard this thing, I rent my garment and my mantle, and plucked off the hair of my head and of my beard, and sat down astonied.

When I heard this thing, I tore my garment and my robe, and pulled the hair out of my head and of my beard, and sat down confounded.

Und alle, die das Wort des Gottes Israels fürchteten wegen der Übertretung derer, die aus der Gefangenschaft gekommen waren, versammelten sich zu mir. Und ich saß bestürzt da bis zum Abendopfer.

Y juntáronse á mí todos los temerosos de las palabras del Dios de Israel, á causa de la prevaricación de los de la transmigración; mas yo estuve sentado atónito hasta el sacrificio de la tarde.

Then were assembled unto me every one that trembled at the words of the God of Israel, because of the transgression of those that had been carried away; and I sat astonied until the evening sacrifice.

Then everyone who trembled at the words of the God of Israel were assembled to me because of the trespass of the exiles; and I sat confounded until the evening offering.

Und um das Abendopfer stand ich auf von meinem Fasten, wobei ich mein Kleid und meinen Rock zerrissen hatte, fiel auf meine Knie und breitete meine Hände aus zu dem HERRN, meinem Gott.

Y al sacrificio de la tarde levantéme de mi aflicción; y habiendo rasgado mi vestido y mi manto, postréme de rodillas, y extendí mis palmas á Jehová mi Dios;

And at the evening sacrifice I arose up from my heaviness; and having rent my garment and my mantle, I fell upon my knees, and spread out my hands unto the LORD my God,

At the evening offering I rose up from my humiliation, even with my garment and my robe torn; and I fell on my knees, and spread out my hands to the LORD my God;

Und ich sprach: Mein Gott, ich schäme und scheue mich, mein Angesicht aufzuheben zu dir, mein Gott; denn unsere Sünden sind über unser Haupt gewachsen, und unsre Schuld reicht bis an den Himmel!

Y dije: Dios mío, confuso y avergonzado estoy para levantar, oh Dios mío, mi rostro á ti: porque nuestras iniquidades se han multiplicado sobre nuestra cabeza, y nuestros delitos han crecido hasta el cielo.

And said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee, my God: for our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass is grown up unto the heavens.

and I said, “My God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to you, my God, for our iniquities have increased over our head, and our guiltiness has grown up to the heavens.

Seit den Tagen unsrer Väter bis auf diesen Tag sind wir in großer Schuld, und um unserer Missetaten willen sind wir, unsere Könige und unsere Priester, in die Hand der Könige der Länder, in das Schwert, in die Gefangenschaft, zum Raub und in sichtbare Schmach hingegeben worden, wie es heute der Fall ist.

Desde los días de nuestros padres hasta este día estamos en grande culpa; y por nuestras iniquidades nosotros, nuestros reyes, y nuestros sacerdotes, hemos sido entregados en manos de los reyes de las tierras, á cuchillo, á cautiverio, y á robo, y á confusión de rostro, como hoy día.

Since the days of our fathers have we been in a great trespass unto this day; and for our iniquities have we, our kings, and our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, and to confusion of face, as it is this day.

Nun aber ist uns für einen kleinen Augenblick Gnade von dem HERRN, unserm Gott, widerfahren, indem er uns einen Rest von Entronnenen übrigließ und uns an seiner heiligen Stätte einen Halt gab, womit unser Gott unsere Augen erleuchtete und uns ein wenig aufleben ließ in unsrer Knechtschaft.

Y ahora como por un breve momento fué la misericordia de Jehová nuestro Dios, para hacer que nos quedase un resto libre, y para darnos estaca en el lugar de su santuario, á fin de alumbrar nuestros ojos nuestro Dios, y darnos una poca de vida en nuestra servidumbre.

And now for a little space grace hath been shewed from the LORD our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage.

Denn Knechte sind wir; doch hat uns unser Gott in unsrer Knechtschaft nicht verlassen, sondern hat uns die Gunst der Könige von Persien zugewandt, daß sie uns ein Aufleben schenkten, um das Haus unsres Gottes aufzubauen und seine Trümmer herzustellen, und daß sie uns eine Mauer gaben in Juda und Jerusalem.

Porque siervos éramos: mas en nuestra servidumbre no nos desamparó nuestro Dios, antes inclinó sobre nosotros misericordia delante de los reyes de Persia, para que se nos diese vida para alzar la casa de nuestro Dios, y para hacer restaurar sus asolamientos, y para darnos vallado en Judá y en Jerusalem.

For we were bondmen; yet our God hath not forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our God, and to repair the desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.

For we are bondservants; yet our God has not forsaken us in our bondage, but has extended loving kindness to us in the sight of the kings of Persia, to revive us, to set up the house of our God, and to repair its ruins, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.

Und nun, unser Gott, was sollen wir sagen nach alledem? Wir haben deine Gebote verlassen,

Mas ahora, ¿qué diremos, oh Dios nuestro, después de esto? porque nosotros hemos dejado tus mandamientos,

And now, O our God, what shall we say after this? for we have forsaken thy commandments,

“Now, our God, what shall we say after this? For we have forsaken your commandments,

die du durch deine Knechte, die Propheten, befohlen hast, indem du sprachest: Das Land, in das ihr kommt, es einzunehmen, ist ein unreines Land, wegen der Unreinigkeit der Erdenvölker, wegen ihrer Greuel und ihrer Unreinigkeit, womit sie es von einem Ende bis zum andern erfüllt haben.

Los cuales prescribiste por mano de tus siervos los profetas, diciendo: La tierra á la cual entráis para poseerla, tierra inmunda es á causa de la inmundicia de los pueblos de aquellas regiones, por las abominaciones de que la han henchido de uno á otro extremo con su inmundicia.

Which thou hast commanded by thy servants the prophets, saying, The land, unto which ye go to possess it, is an unclean land with the filthiness of the people of the lands, with their abominations, which have filled it from one end to another with their uncleanness.

which you have commanded by your servants the prophets, saying, ‘The land to which you go to possess is an unclean land through the uncleanness of the peoples of the lands, through their abominations, which have filled it from one end to another with their filthiness.

So sollt ihr nun eure Töchter nicht ihren Söhnen geben und ihre Töchter nicht für eure Söhne nehmen, und suchet ewiglich nicht ihren Frieden und ihr Wohlergehn, damit ihr erstarket und das Gut des Landes esset und es auf eure Kinder vererbet, auf ewige Zeiten!

Ahora pues, no daréis vuestras hijas á los hijos de ellos, ni sus hijas tomaréis para vuestros hijos, ni procuraréis su paz ni su bien para siempre; para que seáis corroborados, y comáis el bien de la tierra, y la dejéis por heredad á vuestros hijos para siempre.

Now therefore give not your daughters unto their sons, neither take their daughters unto your sons, nor seek their peace or their wealth for ever: that ye may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children for ever.

Now therefore don’t give your daughters to their sons. Don’t take their daughters to your sons, nor seek their peace or their prosperity forever, that you may be strong and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children forever.’

Und nach alledem, was über uns gekommen ist, um unsrer bösen Taten und um unsrer großen Schuld willen (und doch hast du, weil du unser Gott bist, uns mehr verschont, als unsere Missetaten verdient haben, und hast uns so viele Entronnene geschenkt!).

Mas después de todo lo que nos ha sobrevenido á causa de nuestras malas obras, y á causa de nuestro grande delito; ya que tú, Dios nuestro, estorbaste que fuésemos oprimidos bajo de nuestras iniquidades, y nos diste este tal efugio;

And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and hast given us such deliverance as this;

“After all that has come on us for our evil deeds and for our great guilt, since you, our God, have punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and have given us such a remnant,

sollten wir da wiederum deine Gebote brechen und uns mit den Völkern dieser Greuel verschwägern? Würdest du nicht über uns zürnen, bis es gar aus wäre, also daß niemand mehr übrigbliebe noch entrinnen könnte?

¿Hemos de volver á infringir tus mandamientos, y á emparentar con los pueblos de estas abominaciones? ¿No te ensañarías contra nosotros hasta consumirnos, sin que quedara resto ni escapatoria?

Should we again break thy commandments, and join in affinity with the people of these abominations? wouldest not thou be angry with us till thou hadst consumed us, so that there should be no remnant nor escaping?

shall we again break your commandments, and join ourselves with the peoples that do these abominations? Wouldn’t you be angry with us until you had consumed us, so that there would be no remnant, nor any to escape?

O HERR, Gott Israels, du bist gerecht; denn †nur wir sind übriggeblieben und entronnen, wie es heute der Fall ist. Siehe, wir sind vor deinem Angesicht in unsern Schulden, denn darum vermögen wir vor dir nicht zu bestehen!

Jehová, Dios de Israel, tú eres justo: pues que hemos quedado algunos salvos, como este día, henos aquí delante de ti en nuestros delitos; porque no es posible subsistir en tu presencia á causa de esto.

O LORD God of Israel, thou art righteous: for we remain yet escaped, as it is this day: behold, we are before thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee because of this.

LORD, the God of Israel, you are righteous; for we are left a remnant that has escaped, as it is today. Behold, we are before you in our guiltiness; for no one can stand before you because of this.”
