Or les promesses ont été faites à Abraham et à sa postérité. Il n’est pas dit: et aux postérités, comme s’il s’agissait de plusieurs, mais en tant qu’il s’agit d’une seule: et à ta postérité, c’est-à-dire, à Christ.

A Abraham fueron hechas las promesas, y á su simiente. No dice: Y á las simientes, como de muchos; sino como de uno: Y á tu simiente, la cual es Cristo.

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his offspring. He doesn’t say, “To descendants”, as of many, but as of one, “To your offspring”, which is Christ.
