19Was soll denn das Gesetz? Es ist hinzugekommen um der Sünden willen, bis der Same käme, dem die Verheißung geschehen ist, und ist gestellt von den Engeln durch die Hand des Mittlers.

19Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
