Gálatas 3

Ó gálatas insensatos! Quem os enfeitiçou? Porque vocês costumavam ver o significado da morte de Jesus Cristo tão claramente como se eu tivesse exibido diante de vocês um quadro com o retrato de Cristo morrendo na cruz.

¡OH Gálatas insensatos! ¿quién os fascinó, para no obedecer á la verdad, ante cuyos ojos Jesucristo fué ya descrito como crucificado entre vosotros?

O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

Foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you not to obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly portrayed among you as crucified?

Só gostaria de saber uma coisa: Vocês receberam o Espírito Santo pela tentativa de guardar as leis judaicas ou pela fé naquilo que ouviram?

Esto solo quiero saber de vosotros: ¿Recibisteis el Espíritu por las obras de la ley, ó por el oir de la fe?

This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

I just want to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?

Será que vocês ficaram completamente loucos? Pois, se a tentativa de obedecer às leis judaicas nunca lhes deu vida espiritual no princípio, por que vocês pensam que a tentativa em obedecê-las agora os fará cristãos mais fortes?

¿Tan necios sois? ¿habiendo comenzado por el Espíritu, ahora os perfeccionáis por la carne?

Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now completed in the flesh?

Vocês sofreram tanto pelo evangelho. E agora vão simplesmente jogar tudo pela janela? Mal posso acreditar nisso!

¿Tantas cosas habéis padecido en vano? si empero en vano.

Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.

Did you suffer so many things in vain, if it is indeed in vain?

E eu lhes pergunto de novo: Aquele que lhes dá o poder do Espírito Santo e opera milagres no meio de vocês faz isso como resultado das suas tentativas de obediência às leis judaicas ou pela fé com a qual receberam a palavra?

Aquel, pues, que os daba el Espíritu, y obraba maravillas entre vosotros ¿hacíalo por las obras de la ley, ó por el oir de la fe?

He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you and does miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?

Abraão teve a mesma experiência. “Ele creu em Deus, e isso lhe foi creditado como justiça”.

Como Abraham creyó á Dios, y le fué imputado á justicia.

Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

Even so, Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness.”

Daí se pode ver que os verdadeiros filhos de Abraão são aqueles que têm fé.

Sabéis por tanto, que los que son de fe, los tales son hijos de Abraham.

Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

Know therefore that those who are of faith are children of Abraham.

As Escrituras previram esse tempo quando Deus justificaria também os gentios mediante a sua fé. Deus falou a esse respeito a Abraão muito tempo atrás quando disse: “Eu abençoarei aqueles que, em todas as nações, confiarem em mim como você”.

Y viendo antes la Escritura que Dios por la fe había de justificar á los Gentiles, evangelizó antes á Abraham, diciendo: En ti serán benditas todas las naciones.

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the Good News beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you all the nations will be blessed.”

E assim acontece: Todos aqueles que são da fé participam da mesma bênção que Abraão, homem de fé, recebeu.

Luego los de la fe son benditos con el creyente Abraham.

So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

So then, those who are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.

Já aqueles que confiam que as leis judaicas podem salvá-los estão debaixo da maldição, pois as Escrituras dizem: “Maldito todo aquele que, em qualquer tempo, quebrar uma só das leis que estão escritas no Livro da Lei”.

Porque todos los que son de las obras de la ley, están bajo de maldición. Porque escrito está: Maldito todo aquel que no permaneciere en todas las cosas que están escritas en el libro de la ley, para hacerlas.

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who doesn’t continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them.”

Por conseguinte, é claro que ninguém jamais pode ser justificado pela tentativa de guardar as leis judaicas, porque Deus mesmo disse que “o justo viverá pela fé”.

Mas por cuanto por la ley ninguno se justifica para con Dios, queda manifiesto: Que el justo por la fe vivirá.

But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

Now that no man is justified by the law before God is evident, for, “The righteous will live by faith.”

Como esse caminho de fé é diferente do caminho da lei! Como dizem as Escrituras: “Aquele que praticar o que a lei manda, viverá por ela”.

La ley también no es de la fe; sino, El hombre que los hiciere, vivirá en ellos.

And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

The law is not of faith, but, “The man who does them will live by them.”

Entretanto, Cristo nos comprou e nos redimiu da maldição da Lei, quando se tornou maldição em nosso lugar. Porque está escrito nas Escrituras: “Maldito todo aquele que for pendurado num madeiro”.

Cristo nos redimió de la maldición de la ley, hecho por nosotros maldición; (porque está escrito: Maldito cualquiera que es colgado en madero:)

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,”

Agora Deus pode abençoar os gentios também, com esta mesma bênção que ele prometeu a Abraão; e todos nós podemos receber o Espírito Santo prometido por meio da fé.

Para que la bendición de Abraham fuese sobre los Gentiles en Cristo Jesús; para que por la fe recibamos la promesa del Espíritu.

That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Caros irmãos, mesmo na vida diária, uma promessa feita por um homem a outro, se estiver escrita e assinada, não pode ser mudada. Depois disso, ele não pode acrescentar coisa alguma.

Hermanos, hablo como hombre: Aunque un pacto sea de hombre, con todo, siendo confirmado, nadie lo cancela, ó le añade.

Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man’s covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.

Brothers, speaking of human terms, though it is only a man’s covenant, yet when it has been confirmed, no one makes it void or adds to it.

Assim Deus fez algumas promessas a Abraão e ao seu descendente. E notem que não diz que as promessas eram aos seus filhos, como diria se estivesse falando de muitos, mas ao seu descendente, a saber, Cristo.

A Abraham fueron hechas las promesas, y á su simiente. No dice: Y á las simientes, como de muchos; sino como de uno: Y á tu simiente, la cual es Cristo.

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his offspring. He doesn’t say, “To descendants”, as of many, but as of one, “To your offspring”, which is Christ.

Eis o que eu estou procurando dizer: A promessa de Deus, de salvar por meio da fé — e Deus escreveu e assinou esta aliança — não podia ser cancelada nem mudada quatrocentos e trinta anos mais tarde quando a Lei foi dada por Deus.

Esto pues digo: Que el contrato confirmado de Dios para con Cristo, la ley que fué hecha cuatrocientos treinta años después, no lo abroga, para invalidar la promesa.

And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

Now I say this: A covenant confirmed beforehand by God in Christ, the law, which came four hundred thirty years after, does not annul, so as to make the promise of no effect.

Se a obediência a essas leis pudesse nos salvar, já não dependeríamos da sua promessa. Deus, porém, concedeu-a de graça a Abraão, pois ele aceitou a promessa de Deus.

Porque si la herencia es por la ley, ya no es por la promesa: empero Dios por la promesa hizo la donación á Abraham.

For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no more of promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by promise.

Então qual é o propósito da Lei? Ela foi acrescentada, depois que a promessa foi dada, a fim de mostrar aos homens quanto eles são culpados em quebrar as leis de Deus. Entretanto, esse sistema de lei era para durar somente até a vinda de um mediador a quem a promessa de Deus fora feita. Esta Lei foi entregue por anjos;

¿Pues de qué sirve la ley? Fué puesta por causa de las rebeliones, hasta que viniese la simiente á quien fué hecha la promesa, ordenada aquélla por los ángeles en la mano de un mediador.

Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

Then why is there the law? It was added because of transgressions, until the offspring should come to whom the promise has been made. It was ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.

Porém não é necessário haver intermediário quando se está falando de uma só pessoa; Deus, porém, é um.

Y el mediador no es de uno, pero Dios es uno.

Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.

Now a mediator is not between one, but God is one.

Então as leis de Deus são contra as promessas de Deus? Naturalmente que não! Se nós pudéssemos ser salvos por suas leis, então Deus não precisaria ter-nos dado um meio diferente de nos libertarmos.

¿Luego la ley es contra las promesas de Dios? En ninguna manera: porque si la ley dada pudiera vivificar, la justicia fuera verdaderamente por la ley.

Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could make alive, most certainly righteousness would have been of the law.

Mas as Escrituras sustentam que todos nós somos prisioneiros do pecado a fim de que a promessa, que é pela fé em Jesus Cristo, fosse concedida aos que creem nele.

Mas encerró la Escritura todo bajo pecado, para que la promesa fuese dada á los creyentes por la fe de Jesucristo.

But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

But the Scripture imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

Mas antes que chegasse essa fé, nós éramos prisioneiros da Lei, até que fosse revelada a fé que devia vir.

Empero antes que viniese la fe, estábamos guardados bajo la ley, encerrados para aquella fe que había de ser descubierta.

But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, confined for the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

Assim as leis judaicas eram nosso mestre e guia até que Cristo viesse para nos dar uma posição correta perante Deus por meio da nossa fé.

De manera que la ley nuestro ayo fué para llevarnos á Cristo, para que fuésemos justificados por la fe.

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

So that the law has become our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Mas agora que já veio a fé, não precisamos mais daquelas leis para tomar conta de nós.

Mas venida la fe, ya no estamos bajo ayo;

But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.

Porque agora todos vocês são filhos de Deus por meio da fé em Jesus Cristo,

Porque todos sois hijos de Dios por la fe en Cristo Jesús.

For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

For you are all children of God, through faith in Christ Jesus.

e os que fomos batizados em união com Cristo somos revestidos por ele.

Porque todos los que habéis sido bautizados en Cristo, de Cristo estáis vestidos.

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Já não somos mais judeus, nem gregos, nem escravos, nem livres, nem simplesmente homens ou mulheres, porém somos todos iguais; somos um em Cristo Jesus.

No hay Judío, ni Griego; no hay siervo, ni libre; no hay varón, ni hembra: porque todos vosotros sois uno en Cristo Jesús.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

E, agora que somos de Cristo, somos os verdadeiros descendentes de Abraão, e todas as promessas que Deus fez a ele pertencem a nós.

Y si vosotros sois de Cristo, ciertamente la simiente de Abraham sois, y conforme á la promesa los herederos.

And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

If you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring and heirs according to promise.
