Gálatas 4

Lembrem-se, porém, disto, que se um pai morrer e deixar uma grande herança para seu filho pequeno, essa criança até crescer não difere de um escravo, apesar de ser o dono de tudo.

TAMBIÉN digo: Entre tanto que el heredero es niño, en nada difiere del siervo, aunque es señor de todo;

Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

But I say that so long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a bondservant, though he is lord of all,

Ele tem de fazer aquilo que seus tutores e administradores mandarem, até atingir a idade determinada por seu pai.

Mas está debajo de tutores y curadores hasta el tiempo señalado por el padre.

But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

but is under guardians and stewards until the day appointed by the father.

E era assim que acontecia conosco antes da vinda de Cristo. Éramos escravos dos rudimentos elementares que dominam este mundo.

Así también nosotros, cuando éramos niños, éramos siervos bajo los rudimentos del mundo.

Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:

So we also, when we were children, were held in bondage under the elemental principles of the world.

Mas, quando chegou o tempo certo, o tempo determinado por Deus, ele enviou seu Filho, nascido de mãe humana e viveu debaixo da lei,

Mas venido el cumplimiento del tiempo, Dios envió su Hijo, hecho de mujer, hecho súbdito á la ley,

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

But when the fullness of the time came, God sent out his Son, born to a woman, born under the law,

para comprar a liberdade para nós que éramos escravos da lei, a fim de que ele nos pudesse adotar como seus próprios filhos.

Para que redimiese á los que estaban debajo de la ley, á fin de que recibiésemos la adopción de hijos.

To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

that he might redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as children.

E, porque vocês são seus filhos, Deus enviou o Espírito de seu Filho aos corações de vocês, que clama: “Abba, Pai”.

Y por cuanto sois hijos, Dios envió el Espíritu de su Hijo en vuestros corazones, el cual clama: Abba, Padre.

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

And because you are children, God sent out the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, “Abba, Father!”

Assim vocês não são mais escravos, mas verdadeiros filhos. E uma vez que são filhos, Deus lhes dará tudo o que ele tem.

Así que ya no eres más siervo, sino hijo; y si hijo, también heredero de Dios por Cristo.

Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

So you are no longer a bondservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Antes de conhecerem a Deus, vocês eram escravos daqueles que por natureza não eram deuses.

Antes, en otro tiempo, no conociendo á Dios, servíais á los que por naturaleza no son dioses:

Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.

However at that time, not knowing God, you were in bondage to those who by nature are not gods.

E agora que conheceram a Deus, ou melhor, agora que Deus conheceu vocês, como é possível que vocês queiram voltar atrás e tornar-se mais uma vez escravos desses rudimentos deficientes, fracos e inúteis?

Mas ahora, habiendo conocido á Dios, ó más bien, siendo conocidos de Dios, ¿cómo os volvéis de nuevo á los flacos y pobres rudimentos, en los cuales queréis volver á servir?

But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, why do you turn back again to the weak and miserable elemental principles, to which you desire to be in bondage all over again?

Vocês estão observando dias especiais, ou meses, ou épocas, ou anos.

Guardáis los días, y los meses, y los tiempos, y los años.

Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.

You observe days, months, seasons, and years.

Eu temo por vocês. Tenho receio de que todo o meu árduo trabalho em seu beneficio tenha sido inútil.

Temo de vosotros, que no haya trabajado en vano en vosotros.

I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.

I am afraid for you, that I might have wasted my labor for you.

Irmãos, eu lhes peço que tenham a mesma ideia que eu a respeito dessas coisas, pois eu estou tão livre dessas cadeias quanto vocês costumavam estar. Vocês não me desprezaram naquela ocasião em que preguei pela primeira vez a vocês,

Hermanos, os ruego, sed como yo, porque yo soy como vosotros: ningún agravio me habéis hecho.

Brethren, I beseech you, be as I am; for I am as ye are: ye have not injured me at all.

I beg you, brothers, become as I am, for I also have become as you are. You did me no wrong,

embora eu estivesse na fraqueza da carne quando pela primeira vez levei-lhes o evangelho de Cristo.

Que vosotros sabéis que por flaqueza de carne os anuncié el evangelio al principio:

Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first.

but you know that because of weakness in the flesh I preached the Good News to you the first time.

No entanto, ainda que a minha condição física lhes fosse uma provação, vocês não me rejeitaram nem me mandaram embora. Ao contrário, vocês me receberam e cuidaram de mim como se eu fosse um anjo de Deus, ou até mesmo como o próprio Jesus Cristo.

Y no desechasteis ni menospreciasteis mi tentación que estaba en mi carne: antes me recibisteis como á un ángel de Dios, como á Cristo Jesús.

And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.

That which was a temptation to you in my flesh, you didn’t despise nor reject; but you received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.

O que aconteceu com aquele espírito feliz que sentimos juntos naquela ocasião? Porque eu sei que naqueles dias vocês, com toda a alegria, teriam arrancado os próprios olhos e os teriam dado para substituir os meus, se aquilo tivesse me ajudado.

¿Dónde está pues vuestra bienaventuranza? porque yo os doy testimonio que si se pudiera hacer, os hubierais sacado vuestros ojos para dármelos.

Where is then the blessedness ye spake of? for I bear you record, that, if it had been possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me.

What was the blessing you enjoyed? For I testify to you that, if possible, you would have plucked out your eyes and given them to me.

E agora eu me tornei inimigo de vocês por lhes dizer a verdade?

¿Heme pues hecho vuestro enemigo, diciéndoos la verdad?

Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

So then, have I become your enemy by telling you the truth?

Esses falsos mestres que estão tão ansiosos em agradá-los não estão fazendo isso para o bem de vocês. O que eles estão procurando fazer é separá-los de mim, para que vocês prestem mais atenção neles.

Tienen celos de vosotros, pero no bien: antes os quieren echar fuera para que vosotros los celéis á ellos.

They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them.

They zealously seek you in no good way. No, they desire to alienate you, that you may seek them.

É bom zelar pelo bem sempre, e não apenas quando estou entre vocês.

Bueno es ser celosos en bien siempre; y no solamente cuando estoy presente con vosotros.

But it is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you.

But it is always good to be zealous in a good cause, and not only when I am present with you.

Meus filhos, mais uma vez estou sofrendo as dores de parto por sua causa, até que Cristo seja formado em vocês.

Hijitos míos, que vuelvo otra vez á estar de parto de vosotros, hasta que Cristo sea formado en vosotros;

My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

My little children, of whom I am again in travail until Christ is formed in you—

Como eu gostaria de poder estar aí com vocês agora mesmo e não ter de discutir com vocês dessa maneira, pois a essa distância, francamente, eu não sei o que fazer.

Querría cierto estar ahora con vosotros, y mudar mi voz; porque estoy perplejo en cuanto á vosotros.

I desire to be present with you now, and to change my voice; for I stand in doubt of you.

but I could wish to be present with you now, and to change my tone, for I am perplexed about you.

Escutem-me, vocês que pensam que precisam obedecer às leis judaicas para serem salvos: Por que vocês não aprendem o verdadeiro significado dessas leis?

Decidme, los que queréis estar debajo de la ley, ¿no habéis oído la ley?

Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?

Tell me, you that desire to be under the law, don’t you listen to the law?

Pois está escrito que Abraão teve dois filhos: um da mulher escrava e outro da mulher livre.

Porque escrito está que Abraham tuvo dos hijos; uno de la sierva, el otro de la libre.

For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.

For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the servant, and one by the free woman.

Não houve nada de extraordinário quanto ao nascimento do bebê da mulher escrava, mas o bebê da mulher livre só nasceu mediante promessa.

Mas el de la sierva nació según la carne; pero el de la libre nació por la promesa.

But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.

However, the son by the servant was born according to the flesh, but the son by the free woman was born through promise.

Ora, essa história verdadeira é uma ilustração das duas alianças que essas mulheres representam. Uma aliança procede do monte Sinai e está representada por Hagar. Os que pertencem a esta aliança nascem escravos.

Las cuales cosas son dichas por alegoría: porque estas mujeres son los dos pactos; el uno ciertamente del monte Sinaí, el cual engendró para servidumbre, que es Agar.

Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.

These things contain an allegory, for these are two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai, bearing children to bondage, which is Hagar.

Hagar representa o monte Sinai, na Arábia, e Hagar é o símbolo da atual cidade de Jerusalém, que está escravizada com todos os seus filhos.

Porque Agar ó Sinaí es un monte de Arabia, el cual es conjunto á la que ahora es Jerusalem, la cual sirve con sus hijos.

For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.

For this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and answers to the Jerusalem that exists now, for she is in bondage with her children.

Mas a nossa cidade-mãe é a Jerusalém celestial, e ela é livre.

Mas la Jerusalem de arriba libre es; la cual es la madre de todos nosotros.

But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

But the Jerusalem that is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

Pois está escrito: “Agora você, mulher sem filhos, pode se alegrar; grite de alegria, você que nunca esteve em trabalho de parto. Porque a mulher abandonada terá mais filhos do que a mulher que tem marido”.

Porque está escrito: Alégrate, estéril, que no pares: prorrumpe y clama, la que no estás de parto; porque más son los hijos de la dejada, que de la que tiene marido.

For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

For it is written, “Rejoice, you barren who don’t bear. Break out and shout, you who don’t travail. For the desolate women have more children than her who has a husband.”

Vocês, irmãos, são os filhos prometidos por Deus, tal como foi Isaque.

Así que, hermanos, nosotros como Isaac somos hijos de la promesa.

Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.

Now we, brothers, as Isaac was, are children of promise.

E assim, o filho nascido de modo natural perseguiu o filho nascido do Espírito. E a mesma coisa está acontecendo agora.

Empero como entonces el que era engendrado según la carne, perseguía al que había nacido según el Espíritu, así también ahora.

But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

But as then, he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so also it is now.

Entretanto, o que dizem as Escrituras? “Mande embora a mulher escrava e seu filho, pois o filho da mulher escrava jamais será herdeiro junto com o filho da mulher livre”.

Mas ¿qué dice la Escritura? Echa fuera á la sierva y á su hijo; porque no será heredero el hijo de la sierva con el hijo de la libre.

Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.

However, what does the Scripture say? “Throw out the servant and her son, for the son of the servant will not inherit with the son of the free woman.”

Irmãos, nós não somos filhos da escrava, mas filhos da mulher livre.

De manera, hermanos, que no somos hijos de la sierva, mas de la libre.

So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

So then, brothers, we are not children of a servant, but of the free woman.
