And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.
Abraham traveled from there toward the land of the South, and lived between Kadesh and Shur. He lived as a foreigner in Gerar.
Y dijo Abrahán de Sara, su mujer: “Es mi hermana”; por lo cual Abimelec, rey de Gerar, envió a tomar a Sara.
Y dijo Abraham de Sara su mujer: Mi hermana es. Y Abimelech, rey de Gerar, envió y tomó á Sara.
And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.
Abraham said about Sarah his wife, “She is my sister.” Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.
Pero vino Dios a Abimelec en el sueño durante la noche, y le dijo: “He aquí que morirás a causa de la mujer que has tomado, porque es mujer casada.”
Empero Dios vino á Abimelech en sueños de noche, y le dijo: He aquí muerto eres á causa de la mujer que has tomado, la cual es casada con marido.
But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man’s wife.
But God came to Abimelech in a dream of the night, and said to him, “Behold, you are a dead man, because of the woman whom you have taken; for she is a man’s wife.”

But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, Lord, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation?
Now Abimelech had not come near her. He said, “Lord, will you kill even a righteous nation?
¿No me dijo él mismo: ‘Es mi hermana’, y ella también dijo: ‘Es mi hermano’? Con sencillez de mi corazón, y con manos inocentes he hecho esto.”

Said he not unto me, She is my sister? and she, even she herself said, He is my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this.
Didn’t he tell me, ‘She is my sister’? She, even she herself, said, ‘He is my brother.’ I have done this in the integrity of my heart and the innocence of my hands.”
Y le respondió Dios en sueños: “Bien sé que con sencillez de corazón has hecho esto; y Yo soy también quien te he preservado de pecar contra Mí. Por eso no te he permitido que la tocaras.
Y díjole Dios en sueños: Yo también sé que con integridad de tu corazón has hecho esto; y yo también te detuve de pecar contra mí, y así no te permití que la tocases.
And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.
God said to him in the dream, “Yes, I know that in the integrity of your heart you have done this, and I also withheld you from sinning against me. Therefore I didn’t allow you to touch her.
Devuélve, pues, la mujer de este hombre, porque es un profeta y rogará por ti, para que vivas; mas si no la devuelves, sabe que morirás indefectiblemente, tú con todos los tuyos.
Ahora, pues, vuelve la mujer á su marido; porque es profeta, y orará por ti, y vivirás. Y si tú no la volvieres, sabe que de cierto morirás, con todo lo que fuere tuyo.
Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.

Se levantó Abimelec muy de mañana, llamó a todos sus siervos y contó a sus oídos todas estas palabras. Y quedaron muy amedrentados.
Entonces Abimelech se levantó de mañana, y llamó á todos sus siervos, y dijo todas estas palabras en los oídos de ellos; y temieron los hombres en gran manera.

Después llamó Abimelec a Abrahán, y le dijo “¿Qué es lo que has hecho con nosotros? ¿Y en qué te he ofendido, para que hayas traído sobre mí y mi reino un pecado tan grande? Has hecho tú conmigo cosas que no deben hacerse.”
Después llamó Abimelech á Abraham, y le dijo: ¿Qué nos has hecho? ¿y en qué pequé yo contra ti, que has atraído sobre mí y sobre mi reino tan gran pecado? lo que no debiste hacer has hecho conmigo.
Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done.
Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said to him, “What have you done to us? How have I sinned against you, that you have brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? You have done deeds to me that ought not to be done!”
Y Abimelec siguió diciendo a Abrahán: “¿Qué has visto para que hicieras esto?”
Y dijo más Abimelech á Abraham: ¿Qué viste para que hicieses esto?
And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing?
Abimelech said to Abraham, “What did you see, that you have done this thing?”
Respondió Abrahán: “Pensé: Seguramente no hay temor de Dios en este lugar y me van a matar a causa de mi mujer.”
Y Abraham respondió: Porque dije para mí: Cierto no hay temor de Dios en este lugar, y me matarán por causa de mi mujer.
And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife’s sake.
Abraham said, “Because I thought, ‘Surely the fear of God is not in this place. They will kill me for my wife’s sake.’
Y en verdad, ella es también mi hermana, hija de mi padre, aunque no hija de mi madre; y vino a ser mi mujer.
Y á la verdad también es mi hermana, hija de mi padre, mas no hija de mi madre, y toméla por mujer.
And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.

Mas cuando Dios me hizo errar fuera de la casa de mi padre, le dije a ella: “Este es el favor que me has de hacer. En cualquier lugar a que lleguemos, dirás de mí: ‘Es mi hermano’.”
Y fué que, cuando Dios me hizo salir errante de la casa de mi padre, yo le dije: Esta es la merced que tú me harás, que en todos los lugares donde llegáremos, digas de mí: Mi hermano es.
And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father’s house, that I said unto her, This is thy kindness which thou shalt shew unto me; at every place whither we shall come, say of me, He is my brother.
When God caused me to wander from my father’s house, I said to her, ‘This is your kindness which you shall show to me. Everywhere that we go, say of me, “He is my brother.”’”
Entonces Abimelec tomó ovejas y ganado y siervos y siervas, y se los dio a Abrahán. Le devolvió también a Sara, su mujer, diciéndole:

“He aquí que mi tierra está a tu disposición; habita en donde mejor te parezca.”
Y dijo Abimelech: He aquí mi tierra está delante de ti, habita donde bien te pareciere.
And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee.
Abimelech said, “Behold, my land is before you. Dwell where it pleases you.”
Y a Sara le dijo: “Mira, he dado mil siclos de plata a tu hermano. Esto te servirá para velar tus ojos ante todos los que están contigo. Así quedas justificada.”
Y á Sara dijo: He aquí he dado mil monedas de plata á tu hermano; mira que él te es por velo de ojos para todos los que están contigo, y para con todos: así fué reprendida.
And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of silver: behold, he is to thee a covering of the eyes, unto all that are with thee, and with all other: thus she was reproved.
To Sarah he said, “Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver. Behold, it is for you a covering of the eyes to all that are with you. In front of all you are vindicated.”
Y rogó Abrahán a Dios, y sanó Dios a Abimelec, y a su mujer, y a sus siervas, y ellas tuvieron hijos.
Entonces Abraham oró á Dios; y Dios sanó á Abimelech y á su mujer, y á sus siervas, y parieron.
So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.
Abraham prayed to God. So God healed Abimelech, his wife, and his female servants, and they bore children.
Porque Yahvé había cerrado completamente toda matriz en la casa de Abimelec, a causa de Sara, mujer de Abrahán.
Porque había del todo cerrado Jehová toda matriz de la casa de Abimelech, á causa de Sara mujer de Abraham.
For the LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham’s wife.
For the LORD had closed up tight all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah, Abraham’s wife.
