Aber Jakob antwortete ihm: »Mein Herr sieht selbst, daß die Kinder noch zart sind und daß ich noch Bedacht auf die säugenden Schafe und Kühe nehmen muß; wenn man diese auch nur einen Tag übertriebe, so würde die ganze Herde zugrunde gehen.
Y él le dijo: Mi señor sabe que los niños son tiernos, y que tengo ovejas y vacas paridas; y si las fatigan, en un día morirán todas las ovejas.
And he said unto him, My lord knoweth that the children are tender, and the flocks and herds with young are with me: and if men should overdrive them one day, all the flock will die.
Jacob said to him, “My lord knows that the children are tender, and that the flocks and herds with me have their young, and if they overdrive them one day, all the flocks will die.
