1Depois destas coisas, o copeiro do rei do Egito e o seu padeiro ofenderam o seu senhor, o rei do Egito.
2Faraó irou-se contra os seus dois oficiais, o chefe dos copeiros e o chefe dos padeiros.
3Ele os colocou sob custódia na casa do capitão da guarda, na prisão, o lugar onde José estava preso.
4O capitão da guarda os designou a José, e ele cuidou deles. Eles permaneceram na prisão por muitos dias.
5Ambos tiveram um sonho, cada homem o seu próprio sonho, em uma só noite, cada homem de acordo com a interpretação do seu sonho, o copeiro e o padeiro do rei do Egito, que estavam confinados na prisão.
6José aproximou-se deles pela manhã, olhou para eles e viu que estavam tristes.
7Ele perguntou aos oficiais de Faraó que estavam com ele sob custódia na casa do seu senhor, dizendo: “Por que vocês parecem tão tristes hoje?”
8Eles lhe disseram: “Nós tivemos um sonho, e não há ninguém que possa interpretá-lo.” José lhes disse: “As interpretações não pertencem a Deus? Por favor, contem-no para mim.”
9O chefe dos copeiros contou o seu sonho a José, e lhe disse: “No meu sonho, eis que uma videira estava diante de mim,
10e na videira havia três ramos. Parecia que ela brotava, florescia, e os seus cachos produziam uvas maduras.
11O cálice de Faraó estava na minha mão; e eu peguei as uvas, as espremi no cálice de Faraó, e entreguei o cálice na mão de Faraó.”
12José lhe disse: “Esta é a sua interpretação: os três ramos são três dias.
13Dentro de mais três dias, Faraó levantará a sua cabeça, e o restaurará ao seu cargo. Você entregará o cálice de Faraó na mão dele, da mesma forma que fazia quando era o seu copeiro.
14Mas lembre-se de mim quando tudo estiver bem com você. Por favor, mostre bondade para comigo, e faça menção de mim a Faraó, e tire-me desta casa.
15Pois, na verdade, fui roubado da terra dos hebreus, e aqui também não fiz nada para que me colocassem no calabouço.”
16Quando o chefe dos padeiros viu que a interpretação era boa, ele disse a José: “Eu também estava no meu sonho, e eis que três cestos de pão branco estavam sobre a minha cabeça.
17No cesto mais alto havia todos os tipos de alimentos assados para Faraó, e as aves os comiam do cesto sobre a minha cabeça.”
18José respondeu: “Esta é a sua interpretação. Os três cestos são três dias.
19Dentro de mais três dias, Faraó tirará a sua cabeça, e o pendurará em uma árvore; e as aves comerão a sua carne.”
20No terceiro dia, que era o aniversário de Faraó, ele deu um banquete para todos os seus servos, e levantou a cabeça do chefe dos copeiros e a cabeça do chefe dos padeiros no meio dos seus servos.
21Ele restaurou o chefe dos copeiros à sua posição novamente, e ele entregou o cálice na mão de Faraó;
22mas ele enforcou o chefe dos padeiros, assim como José lhes havia interpretado.
23Contudo, o chefe dos copeiros não se lembrou de José, mas esqueceu-se dele.

1Y ACONTECIÓ después de estas cosas, que el copero del rey de Egipto y el panadero delinquieron contra su señor el rey de Egipto.
2Y enojóse Faraón contra sus dos eunucos, contra el principal de los coperos, y contra el principal de los panaderos:
3Y púsolos en prisión en la casa del capitán de los de la guardia, en la casa de la cárcel donde José estaba preso.
4Y el capitán de los de la guardia dió cargo de ellos á José, y él les servía: y estuvieron días en la prisión.
5Y ambos á dos, el copero y el panadero del rey de Egipto, que estaban arrestados en la prisión, vieron un sueño, cada uno su sueño en una misma noche, cada uno conforme á la declaración de su sueño.
6Y vino á ellos José por la mañana, y mirólos, y he aquí que estaban tristes.
7Y él preguntó á aquellos eunucos de Faraón, que estaban con él en la prisión de la casa de su señor, diciendo: ¿Por qué parecen hoy mal vuestros semblantes?
8Y ellos le dijeron: Hemos tenido un sueño, y no hay quien lo declare. Entonces les dijo José: ¿No son de Dios las declaraciones? Contádmelo ahora.
9Entonces el principal de los coperos contó su sueño á José, y díjole: Yo soñaba que veía una vid delante de mí,
10Y en la vid tres sarmientos; y ella como que brotaba, y arrojaba su flor, viniendo á madurar sus racimos de uvas:
11Y que la copa de Faraón estaba en mi mano, y tomaba yo las uvas, y las exprimía en la copa de Faraón, y daba yo la copa en mano de Faraón.
12Y díjole José: Esta es su declaración: Los tres sarmientos son tres días:
13Al cabo de tres días Faraón te hará levantar cabeza, y te restituirá á tu puesto: y darás la copa á Faraón en su mano, como solías cuando eras su copero.
14Acuérdate, pues, de mí para contigo cuando tuvieres ese bien, y ruégote que uses conmigo de misericordia, y hagas mención de mí á Faraón, y me saques de esta casa:
15Porque hurtado he sido de la tierra de los Hebreos; y tampoco he hecho aquí porqué me hubiesen de poner en la cárcel.
16Y viendo el principal de los panaderos que había declarado para bien, dijo á José: También yo soñaba que veía tres canastillos blancos sobre mi cabeza;
17Y en el canastillo más alto había de todas las viandas de Faraón, obra de panadero; y que las aves las comían del canastillo de sobre mi cabeza.
18Entonces respondió José, y dijo: Esta es su declaración: Los tres canastillos tres días son;
19Al cabo de tres días quitará Faraón tu cabeza de sobre ti, y te hará colgar en la horca, y las aves comerán tu carne de sobre ti.
20Y fué el tercero día el día del nacimiento de Faraón, é hizo banquete á todos sus sirvientes: y alzó la cabeza del principal de los coperos, y la cabeza del principal de los panaderos, entre sus servidores.
21E hizo volver á su oficio al principal de los coperos; y dió él la copa en mano de Faraón.
22Mas hizo ahorcar al principal de los panaderos, como le había declarado José.
23Y el principal de los coperos no se acordó de José, sino que le olvidó.
King James Version
1And it came to pass after these things, that the butler of the king of Egypt and his baker had offended their lord the king of Egypt.
2And Pharaoh was wroth against two of his officers, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers.
3And he put them in ward in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound.
4And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them: and they continued a season in ward.
5And they dreamed a dream both of them, each man his dream in one night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, which were bound in the prison.
6And Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked upon them, and, behold, they were sad.
7And he asked Pharaoh’s officers that were with him in the ward of his lord’s house, saying, Wherefore look ye so sadly to day?
8And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.
9And the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was before me;
10And in the vine were three branches: and it was as though it budded, and her blossoms shot forth; and the clusters thereof brought forth ripe grapes:
11And Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand: and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand.
12And Joseph said unto him, This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days:
13Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.
14But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house:
15For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon.
16When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said unto Joseph, I also was in my dream, and, behold, I had three white baskets on my head:
17And in the uppermost basket there was of all manner of bakemeats for Pharaoh; and the birds did eat them out of the basket upon my head.
18And Joseph answered and said, This is the interpretation thereof: The three baskets are three days:
19Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from off thee.
20And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants.
21And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand:
22But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them.
23Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.

1After these things, the butler of the king of Egypt and his baker offended their lord, the king of Egypt.
2Pharaoh was angry with his two officers, the chief cup bearer and the chief baker.
3He put them in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound.
4The captain of the guard assigned them to Joseph, and he took care of them. They stayed in prison many days.
5They both dreamed a dream, each man his dream, in one night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the cup bearer and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were bound in the prison.
6Joseph came in to them in the morning, and saw them, and saw that they were sad.
7He asked Pharaoh’s officers who were with him in custody in his master’s house, saying, “Why do you look so sad today?”
8They said to him, “We have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it.” Joseph said to them, “Don’t interpretations belong to God? Please tell it to me.”
9The chief cup bearer told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, “In my dream, behold, a vine was in front of me,
10and in the vine were three branches. It was as though it budded, it blossomed, and its clusters produced ripe grapes.
11Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand; and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand.”
12Joseph said to him, “This is its interpretation: the three branches are three days.
13Within three more days, Pharaoh will lift up your head, and restore you to your office. You will give Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, the way you did when you were his cup bearer.
14But remember me when it is well with you. Please show kindness to me, and make mention of me to Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house.
15For indeed, I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews, and here also I have done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon.”
16When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said to Joseph, “I also was in my dream, and behold, three baskets of white bread were on my head.
17In the uppermost basket there were all kinds of baked food for Pharaoh, and the birds ate them out of the basket on my head.”
18Joseph answered, “This is its interpretation. The three baskets are three days.
19Within three more days, Pharaoh will lift up your head from off you, and will hang you on a tree; and the birds will eat your flesh from off you.”
20On the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, he made a feast for all his servants, and he lifted up the head of the chief cup bearer and the head of the chief baker among his servants.
21He restored the chief cup bearer to his position again, and he gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand;
22but he hanged the chief baker, as Joseph had interpreted to them.
23Yet the chief cup bearer didn’t remember Joseph, but forgot him.
