5Che mio padre mi ha fatto giurare, dicendo: Ecco, io mi muoio; seppelliscimi nella mia sepoltura, la quale io mi ho cavata nel paese di Canaan. Deh! lascia ora dunque che io vada a seppellire mio padre; poi ritornerò.

5My father made me swear, saying, Lo, I die: in my grave which I have digged for me in the land of Canaan, there shalt thou bury me. Now therefore let me go up, I pray thee, and bury my father, and I will come again.

5‘My father made me swear, saying, “Behold, I am dying. Bury me in my grave which I have dug for myself in the land of Canaan.” Now therefore, please let me go up and bury my father, and I will come again.’”
