Habacuc 1

Denn siehe, ich will die Chaldäer erwecken, ein bitter und schnell Volk, welches ziehen wird, soweit das Land ist, Wohnungen einzunehmen, die nicht sein sind,

The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see.

und wird grausam und schrecklich sein, das da gebeut und zwinget, wie es will.

¿Hasta cuándo, oh Jehová, clamaré, y no oirás; y daré voces á ti á causa de la violencia, y no salvarás?

O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!

LORD, how long will I cry, and you will not hear? I cry out to you “Violence!” and will you not save?

Ihre Rosse sind schneller denn die Parden; so sind sie auch beißiger denn die Wölfe des Abends. Ihre Reiter ziehen mit großen Haufen von ferne daher, als flögen sie, wie die Adler eilen zum Aas.

¿Por qué me haces ver iniquidad, y haces que mire molestia, y saco y violencia delante de mí, habiendo además quien levante pleito y contienda?

Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.

Why do you show me iniquity, and look at perversity? For destruction and violence are before me. There is strife, and contention rises up.

Sie kommen allesamt, daß sie Schaden tun; wo sie hin wollen, reißen sie hindurch wie ein Ostwind und werden Gefangene zusammenraffen wie Sand.

Por lo cual la ley es debilitada, y el juicio no sale verdadero: por cuanto el impío asedia al justo, por eso sale torcido el juicio.

Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.

Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never prevails; for the wicked surround the righteous; therefore justice comes out perverted.

Sie werden der Könige spotten und der Fürsten werden sie lachen. Alle Festungen werden ihnen ein Scherz sein; denn sie werden Schutt machen und sie doch gewinnen.

Mirad en las gentes, y ved, y maravillaos pasmosamente; porque obra será hecha en vuestros días, que aun cuando se os contare, no la creeréis.

Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.

“Look among the nations, watch, and wonder marvelously; for I am working a work in your days which you will not believe though it is told you.

Alsdann werden sie einen neuen Mut nehmen, werden fortfahren und sich versündigen; dann muß ihr Sieg ihres Gottes sein.

Porque he aquí, yo levanto los Caldeos, gente amarga y presurosa, que camina por la anchura de la tierra para poseer las habitaciones ajenas.

For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not theirs.

For, behold, I am raising up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation who march through the width of the earth, to possess dwelling places that are not theirs.

Aber du, HERR, mein Gott, mein Heiliger, der du von Ewigkeit her bist, laß uns nicht sterben, sondern laß sie uns, o HERR, nur eine Strafe sein und laß sie, o unser Hort, uns nur züchtigen!

Espantosa es y terrible: de ella misma saldrá su derecho y su grandeza.

They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves.

They are feared and dreaded. Their judgment and their dignity proceed from themselves.

Deine Augen sind rein, daß du Übels nicht sehen magst, und dem Jammer kannst du nicht zusehen. Warum siehest du denn zu den Verächtern und schweigest, daß der Gottlose verschlinget den, der frömmer denn er ist,

Y serán sus caballos más ligeros que tigres, y más agudos que lobos de tarde; y sus jinetes se multiplicarán: vendrán de lejos sus caballeros, y volarán como águilas que se apresuran á la comida.

Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat.

Their horses also are swifter than leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves. Their horsemen press proudly on. Yes, their horsemen come from afar. They fly as an eagle that hurries to devour.

und lässet die Menschen gehen wie Fische im Meer, wie Gewürm, das keinen, HERRN hat?

Toda ella vendrá á la presa: delante de sus caras viento solano; y juntará cautivos como arena.

They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.

All of them come for violence. Their hordes face forward. They gather prisoners like sand.

Sie ziehen's alles mit dem Hamen und fahen's mit ihrem Netze und sammeln's mit ihrem Garn; des freuen sie sich und sind fröhlich.

Y escarnecerá de los reyes, y de los príncipes hará burla: reiráse de toda fortaleza, y amontonará polvo, y la tomará.

And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it.

Yes, they scoff at kings, and princes are a derision to them. They laugh at every stronghold, for they build up an earthen ramp and take it.

Darum opfern sie ihrem Netze und räuchern ihrem Garn, weil durch dieselbigen ihr Teil so fett und ihre Speise so völlig worden ist.

Luego mudará espíritu, y pasará adelante, y ofenderá atribuyendo esta su potencia á su dios.

Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god.

Then they sweep by like the wind and go on. They are indeed guilty, whose strength is their god.”

Derhalben werfen sie ihr Netz noch immer aus und wollen nicht aufhören, Leute zu erwürgen.

¿No eres tú desde el principio, oh Jehová, Dios mío, Santo mío? No moriremos. Oh Jehová, para juicio lo pusiste; y tú, oh Roca, lo fundaste para castigar.

Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction.

Aren’t you from everlasting, LORD my God, my Holy One? We will not die. LORD, you have appointed them for judgment. You, Rock, have established him to punish.

Hie stehe ich auf meiner Hut und trete auf meine Feste und schaue und sehe zu, was mir gesagt werde, und was ich antworten solle dem, der mich schilt.

Muy limpio eres de ojos para ver el mal, ni puedes ver el agravio: ¿por qué ves los menospreciadores, y callas cuando destruye el impío al más justo que él,

Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?

You who have purer eyes than to see evil, and who cannot look on perversity, why do you tolerate those who deal treacherously and keep silent when the wicked swallows up the man who is more righteous than he,

Der HERR aber antwortet mir und spricht: Schreibe das Gesicht und male es auf eine Tafel, daß es lesen könne, wer vorüberläuft (nämlich also):

Y haces que sean los hombres como los peces de la mar, como reptiles que no tienen señor?

And makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?

and make men like the fish of the sea, like the creeping things that have no ruler over them?

Die Weissagung wird ja noch erfüllet werden zu seiner Zeit und wird endlich frei an Tag kommen und nicht außen bleiben. Ob sie aber verzeucht, so harre ihrer; sie wird gewißlich kommen und nicht verziehen.

Sacará á todos con anzuelo, cogerálos con su red, y juntarálos en su aljerife: por lo cual se holgará y hará alegrías.

They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and are glad.

He takes up all of them with the hook. He catches them in his net and gathers them in his dragnet. Therefore he rejoices and is glad.

Siehe, wer halsstarrig ist, der wird keine Ruhe in seinem Herzen haben; denn der Gerechte lebet seines Glaubens.

Por esto hará sacrificios á su red, y ofrecerá sahumerios á su aljerife: porque con ellos engordó su porción, y engrasó su comida.

Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous.

Therefore he sacrifices to his net and burns incense to his dragnet, because by them his life is luxurious and his food is good.

Aber der Wein betrügt den stolzen Mann, daß er nicht bleiben kann, welcher seine Seele aufsperret wie die Hölle, und ist gerade wie der Tod, der nicht zu sättigen ist, sondern rafft zu sich alle Heiden und sammelt zu sich alle Völker.

¿Vaciará por eso su red, ó tendrá piedad de matar gentes continuamente?

Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare continually to slay the nations?

Will he therefore continually empty his net, and kill the nations without mercy?
