SOBRE mi guarda estaré, y sobre la fortaleza afirmaré el pie, y atalayaré para ver qué hablará en mí, y qué tengo de responder á mi pregunta.
I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.

Da antwortete mir der HERR und sprach: Schreibe das Gesicht auf, und grabe es in Tafeln ein, damit man es geläufig lesen könne;
Y Jehová me respondió, y dijo: Escribe la visión, y declárala en tablas, para que corra el que leyere en ella.

denn das Gesicht geht noch auf die bestimmte Zeit, und es strebt nach dem Ende hin und lügt nicht. Wenn es verzieht, so harre sein; denn kommen wird es, es wird nicht ausbleiben.
Aunque la visión tardará aún por tiempo, mas al fin hablará, y no mentirá: aunque se tardare, espéralo, que sin duda vendrá; no tardará.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Siehe, aufgeblasen, nicht aufrichtig ist in ihm seine Seele. Der Gerechte aber wird durch seinen Glauben leben.
He aquí se enorgullece aquel cuya alma no es derecha en él: mas el justo en su fe vivirá.
Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.
Und überdies: Der Wein ist treulos; der übermütige Mann, der bleibt nicht, er, der seinen Schlund weit aufsperrt wie der Scheol, und er ist wie der Tod und wird nicht satt; und er rafft an sich alle Nationen und sammelt zu sich alle Völker.
Y también, por cuanto peca por el vino, es un hombre soberbio, y no permanecerá: que ensanchó como el infierno su alma, y es como la muerte, que no se hartará: antes reunió á sí todas las gentes, y amontonó á sí todos los pueblos.
Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people:
Yes, moreover, wine is treacherous: an arrogant man who doesn’t stay at home, who enlarges his desire as Sheol; he is like death and can’t be satisfied, but gathers to himself all nations and heaps to himself all peoples.
Werden nicht diese alle über ihn einen Spruch und eine Spottrede anheben, Rätsel auf ihn? Und man wird sagen: Wehe dem, der aufhäuft was nicht sein ist! – auf wie lange? – und der Pfandlast auf sich lädt!
¿No han de levantar todos estos sobre él parábola, y sarcasmos contra él? Y dirán: ¡Ay del que multiplicó lo que no era suyo! ¿Y hasta cuándo había de amontonar sobre sí espeso lodo?
Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? and to him that ladeth himself with thick clay!

Und werden nicht plötzlich aufstehen die dich beißen, und aufwachen die dich fortscheuchen werden? Und du wirst ihnen zur Beute werden.
¿No se levantarán de repente los que te han de morder, y se despertarán los que te han de quitar de tu lugar, y serás á ellos por rapiña?
Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee, and awake that shall vex thee, and thou shalt be for booties unto them?
Won’t your debtors rise up suddenly, and wake up those who make you tremble, and you will be their victim?
Denn du, du hast viele Nationen beraubt; und so werden alle übriggebliebenen Völker dich berauben wegen des Blutes der Menschen und der Gewalttat an Land und Stadt und an allen ihren Bewohnern.
Porque tú has despojado muchas gentes, todos los otros pueblos te despojarán; á causa de las sangres humanas, y robos de la tierra, de las ciudades y de todos los que moraban en ellas.
Because thou hast spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil thee; because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
Because you have plundered many nations, all the remnant of the peoples will plunder you because of men’s blood, and for the violence done to the land, to the city and to all who dwell in it.
Wehe dem, der bösen Gewinn macht für sein Haus, um sein Nest hoch zu setzen, um sich zu retten aus der Hand des Unglücks!
¡Ay del que codicia maligna codicia para su casa, por poner en alto su nido, por escaparse del poder del mal!
Woe to him that coveteth an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil!

Du hast Schande beratschlagt für dein Haus, die Vertilgung vieler Völker, und hast dein Leben verschuldet.
Tomaste consejo vergonzoso para tu casa, asolaste muchos pueblos, y has pecado contra tu vida.
Thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off many people, and hast sinned against thy soul.
You have devised shame to your house by cutting off many peoples, and have sinned against your soul.
Denn der Stein wird schreien aus der Mauer, und der Sparren aus dem Holzwerk ihm antworten.

Siehe, ist es nicht von dem HERRN der Heerscharen, dass Völker fürs Feuer sich abmühen und Völkerschaften vergebens sich plagen?
¿No es esto de Jehová de los ejércitos? Los pueblos pues trabajarán para el fuego, y las gentes se fatigarán en vano.
Behold, is it not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labour in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity?

Denn die Erde wird voll werden von der Erkenntnis der Herrlichkeit des HERRN, wie die Wasser den Meeresgrund bedecken.

Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!
“Woe to him who gives his neighbor drink, pouring your inflaming wine until they are drunk, so that you may gaze at their naked bodies!
Du hast mit Schande dich gesättigt anstatt mit Ehre: Trinke auch du und zeige dein Unbeschnittensein; der Becher der Rechten des HERRN wird sich zu dir wenden, und schimpfliche Schande über deine Herrlichkeit kommen.
Haste llenado de deshonra más que de honra: bebe tú también, y serás descubierto; el cáliz de la mano derecha de Jehová volverá sobre ti, y vómito de afrenta sobre tu gloria.
Thou art filled with shame for glory: drink thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the LORD’s right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing shall be on thy glory.
You are filled with shame, and not glory. You will also drink and be exposed! The cup of the LORD’s right hand will come around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory.
Denn die Gewalttat am Libanon wird dich bedecken, und die Zerstörung der Tiere, die sie in Schrecken setzte: wegen des Blutes der Menschen und der Gewalttat an Land und Stadt und an allen ihren Bewohnern.
Porque la rapiña del Líbano caerá sobre ti, y la destrucción de las fieras lo quebrantará; á causa de las sangres humanas, y del robo de la tierra, de las ciudades, y de todos los que en ellas moraban.
For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of beasts, which made them afraid, because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
For the violence done to Lebanon will overwhelm you, and the destruction of the animals will terrify you, because of men’s blood and for the violence done to the land, to every city and to those who dwell in them.
Was nützt ein geschnitztes Bild, dass sein Bildner es geschnitzt hat? Ein gegossenes Bild, und das Lügen lehrt, dass der Bildner seines Bildes darauf vertraut, um stumme Götzen zu machen?
¿De qué sirve la escultura que esculpió el que la hizo? ¿la estatua de fundición, que enseña mentira, para que haciendo imágenes mudas confíe el hacedor en su obra?
What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?
“What value does the engraved image have, that its maker has engraved it; the molten image, even the teacher of lies, that he who fashions its form trusts in it, to make mute idols?
Wehe dem, der zum Holz spricht: Wache auf!, zum schweigenden Stein: Erwache! Er sollte lehren? Siehe, er ist mit Gold und Silber überzogen, und gar kein Odem ist in seinem Innern.
¡Ay del que dice al palo: Despiértate; y á la piedra muda: Levántate! ¿Podrá él enseñar? He aquí él está cubierto de oro y plata, y no hay dentro de él espíritu.
Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.
Woe to him who says to the wood, ‘Awake!’ or to the mute stone, ‘Arise!’ Shall this teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all within it.
Aber der HERR ist in seinem heiligen Palast – schweige vor ihm, ganze Erde!
Mas Jehová está en su santo templo: calle delante de él toda la tierra.
