SOBRE mi guarda estaré, y sobre la fortaleza afirmaré el pie, y atalayaré para ver qué hablará en mí, y qué tengo de responder á mi pregunta.
I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.
I will stand at my watch and set myself on the ramparts, and will look out to see what he will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint.
Da antwortete mir der HERR folgendermaßen: »Schreibe die (folgende) Offenbarung nieder und grabe sie deutlich auf Tafeln ein, damit man sie mühelos lesen kann –
Y Jehová me respondió, y dijo: Escribe la visión, y declárala en tablas, para que corra el que leyere en ella.
And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

denn die (Erfüllung der) Offenbarung steht noch bis zu dem bestimmten Zeitpunkt aus, hastet jedoch dem Ziele zu und trügt nicht; wenn sie (mit ihrer Verwirklichung) auf sich warten läßt, so harre ihrer; denn sie trifft sicher ein und bleibt nicht aus.
Aunque la visión tardará aún por tiempo, mas al fin hablará, y no mentirá: aunque se tardare, espéralo, que sin duda vendrá; no tardará.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

›Wisse wohl: vermessen, nicht aufrichtig ist er im Inneren gesinnt; der Gerechte aber wird infolge seines treuen Festhaltens das Leben haben.‹«
He aquí se enorgullece aquel cuya alma no es derecha en él: mas el justo en su fe vivirá.
Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.
Und nunmehr – so steht’s: Der Wein trügt; der übermütige Mann, der ruht nicht, er, der seinen gierigen Rachen weit aufsperrt wie die Unterwelt und unersättlich ist wie der Tod, so daß er alle Völker an sich rafft und alle Völkerschaften in sich aufnimmt.
Y también, por cuanto peca por el vino, es un hombre soberbio, y no permanecerá: que ensanchó como el infierno su alma, y es como la muerte, que no se hartará: antes reunió á sí todas las gentes, y amontonó á sí todos los pueblos.
Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people:
Yes, moreover, wine is treacherous: an arrogant man who doesn’t stay at home, who enlarges his desire as Sheol; he is like death and can’t be satisfied, but gathers to himself all nations and heaps to himself all peoples.
Werden diese nicht alle ein Spottlied über ihn anstimmen und eine Stichelrede anheben mit versteckten Anspielungen auf ihn und ausrufen: »Wehe dem, der da aufhäuft, was nicht ihm gehört – wie lange noch? –, und der Schuldenlast auf sich lädt!
¿No han de levantar todos estos sobre él parábola, y sarcasmos contra él? Y dirán: ¡Ay del que multiplicó lo que no era suyo! ¿Y hasta cuándo había de amontonar sobre sí espeso lodo?
Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? and to him that ladeth himself with thick clay!

Werden nicht plötzlich die von dir Mißhandelten sich erheben und die von dir Gepeinigten erwachen? Dann wirst du ihnen zur Plünderung werden!
¿No se levantarán de repente los que te han de morder, y se despertarán los que te han de quitar de tu lugar, y serás á ellos por rapiña?
Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee, and awake that shall vex thee, and thou shalt be for booties unto them?
Won’t your debtors rise up suddenly, and wake up those who make you tremble, and you will be their victim?
Denn weil du viele Völker ausgeplündert hast, werden alle übrigen Völker dich wieder ausplündern wegen der Blutschuld an den Menschen und wegen deiner Gewalttaten an der Erde, an der Stadt und allen ihren Bewohnern!
Porque tú has despojado muchas gentes, todos los otros pueblos te despojarán; á causa de las sangres humanas, y robos de la tierra, de las ciudades y de todos los que moraban en ellas.
Because thou hast spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil thee; because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
Because you have plundered many nations, all the remnant of the peoples will plunder you because of men’s blood, and for the violence done to the land, to the city and to all who dwell in it.
Wehe dem, der unredlichen Gewinn einheimst in sein Haus, um sich ein Nest in der Höhe zu bauen, um gesichert zu sein gegen die Gewalt des Unglücks!
¡Ay del que codicia maligna codicia para su casa, por poner en alto su nido, por escaparse del poder del mal!
Woe to him that coveteth an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil!
Woe to him who gets an evil gain for his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the hand of evil!
Du bist auf Schande für dein Haus bedacht gewesen, auf die Vertilgung vieler Völker, und hast Verschuldung auf dich selbst gebracht.
Tomaste consejo vergonzoso para tu casa, asolaste muchos pueblos, y has pecado contra tu vida.
Thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off many people, and hast sinned against thy soul.
You have devised shame to your house by cutting off many peoples, and have sinned against your soul.
Denn die Steine werden aus der Mauer heraus schreien und die Balken aus dem Holzwerk in ihr Geschrei einstimmen!
Porque la piedra clamará desde el muro, y la tabla del enmaderado le responderá.

Wisset wohl: vom HERRN der Heerscharen ist es so geordnet, daß Völker fürs Feuer sich mühen und Völkerschaften für nichts sich abarbeiten.
¿No es esto de Jehová de los ejércitos? Los pueblos pues trabajarán para el fuego, y las gentes se fatigarán en vano.
Behold, is it not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labour in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity?
Behold, isn’t it from the LORD of Armies that the peoples labor for the fire, and the nations weary themselves for vanity?
Denn die Erde wird voll werden von der Erkenntnis der Herrlichkeit des HERRN gleich den Wassern, die den Meeresgrund bedecken.
Porque la tierra será llena de conocimiento de la gloria de Jehová, como las aguas cubren la mar.
For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

Wehe dem, der seine Genossen aus Schalen und Schläuchen trinken läßt und sie dadurch auch trunken macht, um sich am Anblick ihrer Nacktheit zu weiden!
¡Ay del que da de beber á sus compañeros, que les acercas tu hiel y embriagas, para mirar sus desnudeces!
Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!
“Woe to him who gives his neighbor drink, pouring your inflaming wine until they are drunk, so that you may gaze at their naked bodies!
Du hast dich an Schande gesättigt statt an Ehre: so trinke nun auch du, daß du taumelst! Der Becher in der Rechten des HERRN kommt jetzt an dich, so daß Schande auf deine Herrlichkeit fällt.
Haste llenado de deshonra más que de honra: bebe tú también, y serás descubierto; el cáliz de la mano derecha de Jehová volverá sobre ti, y vómito de afrenta sobre tu gloria.
Thou art filled with shame for glory: drink thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the LORD’s right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing shall be on thy glory.
You are filled with shame, and not glory. You will also drink and be exposed! The cup of the LORD’s right hand will come around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory.
Denn der Frevel am Libanon wird auf dir lasten und das Gemetzel unter den Tieren dich in Schrecken setzen wegen des vergossenen Menschenblutes und wegen deiner Gewalttaten an der Erde, an der Stadt und all ihren Bewohnern.
Porque la rapiña del Líbano caerá sobre ti, y la destrucción de las fieras lo quebrantará; á causa de las sangres humanas, y del robo de la tierra, de las ciudades, y de todos los que en ellas moraban.
For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of beasts, which made them afraid, because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
For the violence done to Lebanon will overwhelm you, and the destruction of the animals will terrify you, because of men’s blood and for the violence done to the land, to every city and to those who dwell in them.
Wehe dem, der zu einem Stück Holz sagt: ›Wache auf!‹ oder zu einem stummen Stein: ›Rege dich!‹ Kann solcher Götze Weisungen geben? Sieh doch: er ist mit Gold und Silber überzogen, und keine Spur von Odem findet sich in seinem Innern.«
¿De qué sirve la escultura que esculpió el que la hizo? ¿la estatua de fundición, que enseña mentira, para que haciendo imágenes mudas confíe el hacedor en su obra?
What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?
“What value does the engraved image have, that its maker has engraved it; the molten image, even the teacher of lies, that he who fashions its form trusts in it, to make mute idols?
Was hat je ein Schnitzbild genützt, daß sein Bildner es geschnitzt hat? Was ein Gußbild und ein Lügengötze, daß sein Bildner Lust dazu gehabt hat, stumme Abgötter zu verfertigen? –
¡Ay del que dice al palo: Despiértate; y á la piedra muda: Levántate! ¿Podrá él enseñar? He aquí él está cubierto de oro y plata, y no hay dentro de él espíritu.
Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.
Woe to him who says to the wood, ‘Awake!’ or to the mute stone, ‘Arise!’ Shall this teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all within it.
Aber der HERR ist in seinem heiligen Tempel: stille vor ihm, du ganze Erde!
Mas Jehová está en su santo templo: calle delante de él toda la tierra.
But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.
