Habacuc 2

Je veux me tenir à mon poste d'observation, je veux me placer sur le fort †du guetteur pour regarder †au loin et voir ce que Dieu me dira et ce que je pourrai répliquer au sujet de ma récrimination.

SOBRE mi guarda estaré, y sobre la fortaleza afirmaré el pie, y atalayaré para ver qué hablará en mí, y qué tengo de responder á mi pregunta.

I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.

I will stand at my watch and set myself on the ramparts, and will look out to see what he will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint.

Le Seigneur me répondit et dit: "Mets par écrit la vision, grave-la distinctement sur les tablettes, afin qu'on puisse la lire couramment.

Y Jehová me respondió, y dijo: Escribe la visión, y declárala en tablas, para que corra el que leyere en ella.

And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

The LORD answered me, “Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he who runs may read it.

Car encore que cette vision ne doive s'accomplir qu'au temps fixé, elle se hâte vers son terme, et elle ne mentira pas; si elle diffère, attends-la avec confiance, car certes elle se réalisera sans trop tarder.

Aunque la visión tardará aún por tiempo, mas al fin hablará, y no mentirá: aunque se tardare, espéralo, que sin duda vendrá; no tardará.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won’t prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it, because it will surely come. It won’t delay.

Vois! elle est enflée d'orgueil, son âme ; elle n'a aucune droiture, mais le juste vivra par sa ferme loyauté!

He aquí se enorgullece aquel cuya alma no es derecha en él: mas el justo en su fe vivirá.

Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.

En vérité, comme le vin est perfide, ainsi l'homme arrogant qui ne demeure point en repos ; qui ouvre une bouche large comme le Cheol et, comme la mort, n'est jamais rassasié. Autour de lui, il agglomère tous les peuples, il rassemble toutes les nations.

Y también, por cuanto peca por el vino, es un hombre soberbio, y no permanecerá: que ensanchó como el infierno su alma, y es como la muerte, que no se hartará: antes reunió á sí todas las gentes, y amontonó á sí todos los pueblos.

Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people:

Yes, moreover, wine is treacherous: an arrogant man who doesn’t stay at home, who enlarges his desire as Sheol; he is like death and can’t be satisfied, but gathers to himself all nations and heaps to himself all peoples.

Eh bien! ceux-ci, tous ensemble, ne feront-ils pas des satires contre lui, des épigrammes et des énigmes piquantes à son adresse? On dira: "Malheur à qui accapare le bien d'autrui! (Jusques à quand?) Malheur à qui accumule sur sa tête le poids de gages usuraires!

¿No han de levantar todos estos sobre él parábola, y sarcasmos contra él? Y dirán: ¡Ay del que multiplicó lo que no era suyo! ¿Y hasta cuándo había de amontonar sobre sí espeso lodo?

Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? and to him that ladeth himself with thick clay!

Won’t all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, ‘Woe to him who increases that which is not his, and who enriches himself by extortion! How long?’

Ah! Ne se lèveront-ils pas soudain, tes créanciers! Ne se réveilleront-ils pas, tes bourreaux? A ton tour, tu seras leur proie!

¿No se levantarán de repente los que te han de morder, y se despertarán los que te han de quitar de tu lugar, y serás á ellos por rapiña?

Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee, and awake that shall vex thee, and thou shalt be for booties unto them?

Won’t your debtors rise up suddenly, and wake up those who make you tremble, and you will be their victim?

Car de même que tu as dépouillé, toi, des peuples nombreux, toutes les autres nations te dépouilleront à cause du sang humain †que tu as versé, des cruautés qu'ont subies les pays, les cités et ceux qui les habitent.

Porque tú has despojado muchas gentes, todos los otros pueblos te despojarán; á causa de las sangres humanas, y robos de la tierra, de las ciudades y de todos los que moraban en ellas.

Because thou hast spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil thee; because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.

Because you have plundered many nations, all the remnant of the peoples will plunder you because of men’s blood, and for the violence done to the land, to the city and to all who dwell in it.

Malheur à qui amasse pour sa maison un bien mal acquis, et rêve d'établir son nid sur les hauteurs, pour échapper aux coups de l'adversité!

¡Ay del que codicia maligna codicia para su casa, por poner en alto su nido, por escaparse del poder del mal!

Woe to him that coveteth an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil!

Woe to him who gets an evil gain for his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the hand of evil!

Tu as décrété la honte de ta maison! En fauchant des peuples nombreux, tu t'es condamné toi-même.

Tomaste consejo vergonzoso para tu casa, asolaste muchos pueblos, y has pecado contra tu vida.

Thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off many people, and hast sinned against thy soul.

You have devised shame to your house by cutting off many peoples, and have sinned against your soul.

Oui, la pierre dans le mur crie †contre toi, et le chevron, dans la charpente, lui donne la réplique.

Porque la piedra clamará desde el muro, y la tabla del enmaderado le responderá.

For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.

For the stone will cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the woodwork will answer it.

Malheur à qui bâtit une ville avec le sang, et fonde une cité sur l'iniquité!

¡Ay del que edifica la ciudad con sangres, y del que funda la villa con iniquidad!

Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and stablisheth a city by iniquity!

Woe to him who builds a town with blood, and establishes a city by iniquity!

Ah! voici, cela émane de l'Eternel-Cebaot: que les peuples travaillent pour le feu et les nations s'exténuent au profit du néant!

¿No es esto de Jehová de los ejércitos? Los pueblos pues trabajarán para el fuego, y las gentes se fatigarán en vano.

Behold, is it not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labour in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity?

Behold, isn’t it from the LORD of Armies that the peoples labor for the fire, and the nations weary themselves for vanity?

Car la terre sera pleine de la connaissance de la gloire de Dieu, comme l'eau abonde dans le lit des mers.

Porque la tierra será llena de conocimiento de la gloria de Jehová, como las aguas cubren la mar.

For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the LORD’s glory, as the waters cover the sea.

Malheur à toi qui forces tes semblables à boire, qui leur verses des rasades de vin et provoques leur ivresse, pour pouvoir contempler leur nudité!

¡Ay del que da de beber á sus compañeros, que les acercas tu hiel y embriagas, para mirar sus desnudeces!

Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!

“Woe to him who gives his neighbor drink, pouring your inflaming wine until they are drunk, so that you may gaze at their naked bodies!

Tu seras gorgé, toi, de plus d'ignominie que d'honneur. A ton tour de boire et de dévoiler ta honte! Le calice de la droite de l'Eternel va passer à toi: ce sera un amas d'infamie recouvrant ta gloire.

Haste llenado de deshonra más que de honra: bebe tú también, y serás descubierto; el cáliz de la mano derecha de Jehová volverá sobre ti, y vómito de afrenta sobre tu gloria.

Thou art filled with shame for glory: drink thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the LORD’s right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing shall be on thy glory.

You are filled with shame, and not glory. You will also drink and be exposed! The cup of the LORD’s right hand will come around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory.

Oui, tu seras enveloppé par la violence †des hôtes du Liban et terrifié par la férocité des fauves à cause du sang humain †que tu as versé, des cruautés qu'ont subies les pays, les cités et ceux qui les habitent.

Porque la rapiña del Líbano caerá sobre ti, y la destrucción de las fieras lo quebrantará; á causa de las sangres humanas, y del robo de la tierra, de las ciudades, y de todos los que en ellas moraban.

For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of beasts, which made them afraid, because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.

For the violence done to Lebanon will overwhelm you, and the destruction of the animals will terrify you, because of men’s blood and for the violence done to the land, to every city and to those who dwell in them.

Quel profit attendre de l'image sculptée par l'artisan? De la statue de fonte, de ces guides mensongers? Comment leur auteur peut-il assez mettre sa confiance en eux pour fabriquer des dieux muets?

¿De qué sirve la escultura que esculpió el que la hizo? ¿la estatua de fundición, que enseña mentira, para que haciendo imágenes mudas confíe el hacedor en su obra?

What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?

“What value does the engraved image have, that its maker has engraved it; the molten image, even the teacher of lies, that he who fashions its form trusts in it, to make mute idols?

Malheur à celui qui dit à un morceau de bois: "Eveille-toi!" à la pierre inerte: "Lève-toi!" Sont-ce là des guides? Vois! L'idole est plaquée d'or et d'argent, mais aucun souffle n'est en elle!

¡Ay del que dice al palo: Despiértate; y á la piedra muda: Levántate! ¿Podrá él enseñar? He aquí él está cubierto de oro y plata, y no hay dentro de él espíritu.

Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.

Woe to him who says to the wood, ‘Awake!’ or to the mute stone, ‘Arise!’ Shall this teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all within it.

Quant à l'Eternel, il trône dans son saint Palais: que toute la terre fasse silence devant lui!"

Mas Jehová está en su santo templo: calle delante de él toda la tierra.

But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.

But the LORD is in his holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before him!”
