Ein Gebet des Propheten Habakuk in bewegten Rhythmen:

HERR, ich habe deinen Ruf vernommen: ich bin voller Furcht! HERR, verwirkliche dein Werk inmitten der Jahre, mache es offenbar inmitten der Jahre! Im Zürnen bleibe des Erbarmens eingedenk!

Oh Jehová, oído he tu palabra, y temí: oh Jehová, aviva tu obra en medio de los tiempos, en medio de los tiempos hazla conocer; en la ira acuérdate de la misericordia.

O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.

LORD, I have heard of your fame. I stand in awe of your deeds, LORD. Renew your work in the middle of the years. In the middle of the years make it known. In wrath, you remember mercy.

Gott kommt von Theman her, der Heilige vom Gebirge Paran. (SELA.) Seine Erhabenheit breitet sich über den Himmel aus, und seine Herrlichkeit erfüllt die Erde.

Dios vendrá de Temán, y el Santo del monte de Parán. (Selah.) Su gloria cubrió los cielos, y la tierra se llenó de su alabanza.

God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.

Ein Glanz bricht hervor wie Sonnenlicht; Strahlen sprühen ihm zur Seite, und dort ist seine Kraft verborgen.

Y el resplandor fué como la luz; rayos brillantes salían de su mano; y allí estaba escondida su fortaleza.

And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.

His splendor is like the sunrise. Rays shine from his hand, where his power is hidden.

Vor ihm her geht die Pest, und in seinem Gefolge zieht die Fieberglut einher.

Delante de su rostro iba mortandad, y á sus pies salían carbones encendidos.

Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet.

Plague went before him, and pestilence followed his feet.

Bleibt er stehen, so bringt er die Erde ins Wanken; schaut er aus, so schreckt er die Völker auf; es zerbersten die uralten Berge, die ewigen Hügel sinken zusammen: Bahnen wie einst in der Urzeit wandelt er.

Paróse, y midió la tierra: miró, é hizo temblar las gentes; y los montes antiguos fueron desmenuzados, los collados antiguos se humillaron á él. Sus caminos son eternos.

He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are everlasting.

He stood, and shook the earth. He looked, and made the nations tremble. The ancient mountains were crumbled. The age-old hills collapsed. His ways are eternal.

Von Unheil bedrängt erblicke ich die Zelte Kusans; die Zeltbehänge im Lande Midian schwanken hin und her.

He visto las tiendas de Cushán en aflicción; las tiendas de la tierra de Madián temblaron.

I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: and the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble.

Ist denn der Grimm des HERRN gegen die Ströme entbrannt? Gilt etwa dein Zorn den Strömen oder dein Groll dem Meer, daß du (darüber) hinfährst auf deinem Gespann, deinem Siegeswagen?

¿Airóse Jehová contra los ríos? ¿contra los ríos fué tu enojo? ¿tu ira contra la mar, cuando subiste sobre tus caballos, y sobre tus carros de salud?

Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation?

Was the LORD displeased with the rivers? Was your anger against the rivers, or your wrath against the sea, that you rode on your horses, on your chariots of salvation?

Blank entblößt ist dein Bogen, gesättigt mit Geschossen dein Köcher (SELA); du spaltest die Erde, daß Ströme hervorbrechen.

Descubrióse enteramente tu arco, los juramentos á las tribus, palabra segura. (Selah.) Hendiste la tierra con ríos.

Thy bow was made quite naked, according to the oaths of the tribes, even thy word. Selah. Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers.

You uncovered your bow. You called for your sworn arrows. Selah. You split the earth with rivers.

Erblicken dich die Berge, so beben sie, Wasserfluten entströmen den Wolken; das Weltmeer läßt sein Tosen erschallen, hoch erhebt es seine Hände empor.

Viéronte, y tuvieron temor los montes: pasó la inundación de las aguas: el abismo dió su voz, la hondura alzó sus manos.

The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high.

The mountains saw you, and were afraid. The storm of waters passed by. The deep roared and lifted up its hands on high.

Sonne und Mond bleiben in ihrer Wohnung beim Leuchten deiner daherfliegenden Pfeile, beim Glanz deines blitzenden Speeres.

El sol y la luna se pararon en su estancia: á la luz de tus saetas anduvieron, y al resplandor de tu fulgente lanza.

The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.

The sun and moon stood still in the sky at the light of your arrows as they went, at the shining of your glittering spear.

Im Zorn schreitest du über die Erde hin, im Grimm zerstampfst du die Heidenvölker.

Con ira hollaste la tierra, con furor trillaste las gentes.

Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger.

You marched through the land in wrath. You threshed the nations in anger.

Du ziehst aus, deinem Volk zu helfen, deinem Gesalbten Rettung zu bringen; du schlägst den Giebel ab vom Hause des Gottlosen und legst den Grund bloß bis an den Hals (SELA).

Saliste para salvar tu pueblo, para salvar con tu ungido. Traspasaste la cabeza de la casa del impío, desnudando el cimiento hasta el cuello. (Selah.)

Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah.

You went out for the salvation of your people, for the salvation of your anointed. You crushed the head of the land of wickedness. You stripped them head to foot. Selah.

Du durchbohrst mit deinen Geschossen das Haupt seiner Führer, die heranstürmen, um mich zu zerschmettern, die da ein Jubelgeschrei erheben, als wollten sie den Elenden im Verborgenen verschlingen.

Horadaste con sus báculos las cabezas de sus villas, que como tempestad acometieron para derramarme: su orgullo era como para devorar al pobre encubiertamente.

Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing was as to devour the poor secretly.

You pierced the heads of his warriors with their own spears. They came as a whirlwind to scatter me, gloating as if to devour the wretched in secret.

Du beschreitest das Meer mit deinen Rossen, da brausen die gewaltigen Wasser.

Hiciste camino en la mar á tus caballos, por montón de grandes aguas.

Thou didst walk through the sea with thine horses, through the heap of great waters.

You trampled the sea with your horses, churning mighty waters.

Vernommen habe ich’s, da erbebte mein Leib; ob der Kunde zitterten mir die Lippen; Todesangst drang mir in die Gebeine, und bis unten hin schauderte ich zusammen, weil ich ruhig warten soll auf den Tag der Drangsal, bis das Volk heranzieht, das uns angreifen soll. –

Oí, y tembló mi vientre; á la voz se batieron mis labios; pudrición se entró en mis huesos, y en mi asiento me estremecí; si bien estaré quieto en el día de la angustia, cuando suba al pueblo el que lo invadirá con sus tropas.

When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.

I heard, and my body trembled. My lips quivered at the voice. Rottenness enters into my bones, and I tremble in my place because I must wait quietly for the day of trouble, for the coming up of the people who invade us.

Denn wenn auch der Feigenbaum nicht zur Blüte kommt und die Reben keinen Ertrag geben, der Trieb des Ölbaums fehlschlägt und die Felder keine Nahrung liefern, das Kleinvieh aus den Hürden verschwunden ist und keine Rinder mehr in den Ställen stehen:

Aunque la higuera no florecerá, ni en las vides habrá frutos; mentirá la obra de la oliva, y los labrados no darán mantenimiento, y las ovejas serán quitadas de la majada, y no habrá vacas en los corrales;

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:

For even though the fig tree doesn’t flourish, nor fruit be in the vines, the labor of the olive fails, the fields yield no food, the flocks are cut off from the fold, and there is no herd in the stalls,

so will ich dennoch frohlocken im HERRN, will jubeln im Gott meines Heils!

Con todo, yo me alegraré en Jehová, y me gozaré en el Dios de mi salud.

Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

yet I will rejoice in the LORD. I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!

Gott der HERR ist meine Kraft: er macht meine Füße (schnell) wie die der Hirsche und läßt mich einherschreiten auf meinen Höhen. Dem Musikmeister auf meinem Saitenspiel (vgl. Ps 4,1).

Jehová el Señor es mi fortaleza, el cual pondrá mis pies como de ciervas, y me hará andar sobre mis alturas. Al jefe de los cantores sobre mis instrumentos de cuerdas.

The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.

GOD, the Lord, is my strength. He makes my feet like deer’s feet, and enables me to go in high places. For the music director, on my stringed instruments.
