«Señor, he oído de todos tus hechos poderosos y he quedado fascinado. »En este tiempo de tanta necesidad, repite tus actos poderosos como lo hiciste en tiempos anteriores. ¡Muéstranos tu poder y sálvanos! ¡En medio de la cólera, acuérdate que tus principales virtudes son la bondad y el perdón!
Oh Jehová, oído he tu palabra, y temí: oh Jehová, aviva tu obra en medio de los tiempos, en medio de los tiempos hazla conocer; en la ira acuérdate de la misericordia.
O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.
LORD, I have heard of your fame. I stand in awe of your deeds, LORD. Renew your work in the middle of the years. In the middle of the years make it known. In wrath, you remember mercy.
»Veo a Dios, el Santo, que viene desde Temán, desde el monte de Parán. Su brillante esplendor llena los cielos y la tierra. Su gloria llena los cielos, y la tierra está llena de cantos en su honor. ¡Qué Dios maravilloso es él!
Dios vendrá de Temán, y el Santo del monte de Parán. (Selah.) Su gloria cubrió los cielos, y la tierra se llenó de su alabanza.

Su rostro brilla como un relámpago. De su mano salen rayos refulgentes de luz, que demuestran su inmenso poder.
Y el resplandor fué como la luz; rayos brillantes salían de su mano; y allí estaba escondida su fortaleza.
And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.
His splendor is like the sunrise. Rays shine from his hand, where his power is hidden.
La mortandad marcha delante de él. Por donde pasa quedan las huellas de su terrible marcha.
Delante de su rostro iba mortandad, y á sus pies salían carbones encendidos.
Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet.
Plague went before him, and pestilence followed his feet.
Si se detiene, entonces la tierra tiembla; lanza una mirada a las naciones, y estas se espantan. Ante él se desmoronan las viejas montañas y los cerros antiguos se derrumban. ¡Su poder es el mismo de siempre!
Paróse, y midió la tierra: miró, é hizo temblar las gentes; y los montes antiguos fueron desmenuzados, los collados antiguos se humillaron á él. Sus caminos son eternos.
He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are everlasting.

Veo a los habitantes de Cusán llenos de miedo y a los de Madián muertos de pavor.
He visto las tiendas de Cushán en aflicción; las tiendas de la tierra de Madián temblaron.

¿Airóse Jehová contra los ríos? ¿contra los ríos fué tu enojo? ¿tu ira contra la mar, cuando subiste sobre tus caballos, y sobre tus carros de salud?
Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation?

Tienes el arco listo para disparar tus flechas. Usas los ríos para agrietar la tierra.
Descubrióse enteramente tu arco, los juramentos á las tribus, palabra segura. (Selah.) Hendiste la tierra con ríos.
Thy bow was made quite naked, according to the oaths of the tribes, even thy word. Selah. Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers.

Los montes te vieron y temblaron. Se desata un aguacero torrencial y una tormenta que agita el mar y eleva sus olas llenas de espuma.
Viéronte, y tuvieron temor los montes: pasó la inundación de las aguas: el abismo dió su voz, la hondura alzó sus manos.
The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high.

Hasta el sol y la luna se detuvieron en lo alto y palidecieron ante la brillantez de tus flechas y el resplandor de tu lanza.
El sol y la luna se pararon en su estancia: á la luz de tus saetas anduvieron, y al resplandor de tu fulgente lanza.

»Enojado has recorrido la tierra, y en tu cólera has aplastado las naciones.
Con ira hollaste la tierra, con furor trillaste las gentes.

Saliste a salvar a tu pueblo escogido. Aplastaste al rey de esos impíos y derrotaste a todos sus seguidores.

Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah.

»Destruiste con sus propias armas a los que salieron como un torbellino, dispuestos a atacarnos y a sacarnos de nuestra tierra. Salieron contra nosotros muy contentos y confiados, pues creían que nos podían derrotar fácilmente.
Horadaste con sus báculos las cabezas de sus villas, que como tempestad acometieron para derramarme: su orgullo era como para devorar al pobre encubiertamente.
Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing was as to devour the poor secretly.

»Tiemblo cuando oigo de todo esto; mis labios se estremecen de temor. Mis piernas se me aflojan y me agito de terror. Esperaré tranquilamente el día de la angustia que vendrá sobre el pueblo que nos invade.
Oí, y tembló mi vientre; á la voz se batieron mis labios; pudrición se entró en mis huesos, y en mi asiento me estremecí; si bien estaré quieto en el día de la angustia, cuando suba al pueblo el que lo invadirá con sus tropas.
When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.

Aunque la higuera no florecerá, ni en las vides habrá frutos; mentirá la obra de la oliva, y los labrados no darán mantenimiento, y las ovejas serán quitadas de la majada, y no habrá vacas en los corrales;
Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
For even though the fig tree doesn’t flourish, nor fruit be in the vines, the labor of the olive fails, the fields yield no food, the flocks are cut off from the fold, and there is no herd in the stalls,
yo me regocijaré en el Señor y me alegraré en el Dios que nos salva.
Con todo, yo me alegraré en Jehová, y me gozaré en el Dios de mi salud.
Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

¡El Señor Dios es quien me hace estar fuerte! Me dará la velocidad de un venado y me conducirá con seguridad sobre la altura de las montañas». (Nota para el director del coro: Al cantar esta oración, el coro debe ir acompañado por instrumentos de cuerdas).
Jehová el Señor es mi fortaleza, el cual pondrá mis pies como de ciervas, y me hará andar sobre mis alturas. Al jefe de los cantores sobre mis instrumentos de cuerdas.
The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
GOD, the Lord, is my strength. He makes my feet like deer’s feet, and enables me to go in high places. For the music director, on my stringed instruments.
