Ein Gebet des Propheten Habakuk, nach Art einer Ode.

O HERR, ich habe die Kunde von dir vernommen, ich bin erschrocken. O HERR, belebe dein Werk inmitten der Jahre! Inmitten der Jahre tue dich kund! Im Zorn sei eingedenk deiner Barmherzigkeit!

Oh Jehová, oído he tu palabra, y temí: oh Jehová, aviva tu obra en medio de los tiempos, en medio de los tiempos hazla conocer; en la ira acuérdate de la misericordia.

O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.

LORD, I have heard of your fame. I stand in awe of your deeds, LORD. Renew your work in the middle of the years. In the middle of the years make it known. In wrath, you remember mercy.

Gott kommt von Teman her und der Heilige vom Berge Paran (Pause). Seine Pracht bedeckt den Himmel, und seines Lobes ist die Erde voll.

Dios vendrá de Temán, y el Santo del monte de Parán. (Selah.) Su gloria cubrió los cielos, y la tierra se llenó de su alabanza.

God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.

Ein Glanz entsteht, wie Licht; Strahlen gehen aus seiner Hand hervor, und daselbst ist seine Kraft verborgen.

Y el resplandor fué como la luz; rayos brillantes salían de su mano; y allí estaba escondida su fortaleza.

And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power.

His splendor is like the sunrise. Rays shine from his hand, where his power is hidden.

Vor ihm her geht die Pestilenz, und die Seuche folgt ihm auf dem Fuße.

Delante de su rostro iba mortandad, y á sus pies salían carbones encendidos.

Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet.

Plague went before him, and pestilence followed his feet.

Bleibt er stehen, so erbebt die Erde, sieht er die Völker an, so schrecken sie auf, und die uralten Berge zerstieben, es sinken die ewigen Hügel; er wandelt ewige Pfade.

Paróse, y midió la tierra: miró, é hizo temblar las gentes; y los montes antiguos fueron desmenuzados, los collados antiguos se humillaron á él. Sus caminos son eternos.

He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are everlasting.

He stood, and shook the earth. He looked, and made the nations tremble. The ancient mountains were crumbled. The age-old hills collapsed. His ways are eternal.

In Nöten sehe ich die Hütten Kuschans, es zittern die Zelte des Landes Midian.

He visto las tiendas de Cushán en aflicción; las tiendas de la tierra de Madián temblaron.

I saw the tents of Cushan in affliction: and the curtains of the land of Midian did tremble.

Ist der HERR über die Ströme ergrimmt? Ergießt sich dein Zorn über die Flüsse, dein Grimm über das Meer, daß du auf deinen Rossen reitest, auf deinen Wagen des Heils?

¿Airóse Jehová contra los ríos? ¿contra los ríos fué tu enojo? ¿tu ira contra la mar, cuando subiste sobre tus caballos, y sobre tus carros de salud?

Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation?

Was the LORD displeased with the rivers? Was your anger against the rivers, or your wrath against the sea, that you rode on your horses, on your chariots of salvation?

Bloß, enthüllt ist dein Bogen; deine Eide sind die Pfeile, gemäß deinem Wort (Pause). Durch Ströme zerteilst du das Land.

Descubrióse enteramente tu arco, los juramentos á las tribus, palabra segura. (Selah.) Hendiste la tierra con ríos.

Thy bow was made quite naked, according to the oaths of the tribes, even thy word. Selah. Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers.

You uncovered your bow. You called for your sworn arrows. Selah. You split the earth with rivers.

Wenn die Berge dich sehen, erzittern sie; die Wasserfluten wogen einher, der Ozean läßt seine Stimme hören, hoch gehen seine Wellen.

Viéronte, y tuvieron temor los montes: pasó la inundación de las aguas: el abismo dió su voz, la hondura alzó sus manos.

The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high.

The mountains saw you, and were afraid. The storm of waters passed by. The deep roared and lifted up its hands on high.

Sonne und Mond bleiben in ihrer Wohnung beim Leuchten deiner fliegenden Pfeile, beim Glanz deines blitzenden Speers.

El sol y la luna se pararon en su estancia: á la luz de tus saetas anduvieron, y al resplandor de tu fulgente lanza.

The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.

The sun and moon stood still in the sky at the light of your arrows as they went, at the shining of your glittering spear.

Im Grimm schreitest du über die Erde, im Zorn zerdrischest du die Heiden.

Con ira hollaste la tierra, con furor trillaste las gentes.

Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger.

You marched through the land in wrath. You threshed the nations in anger.

Du ziehst aus zum Heil deines Volkes, zum Heil deines Gesalbten; du zerschmetterst das Haupt von dem Hause des Gottlosen, entblößest den Grund bis an den Hals (Pause).

Saliste para salvar tu pueblo, para salvar con tu ungido. Traspasaste la cabeza de la casa del impío, desnudando el cimiento hasta el cuello. (Selah.)

Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah.

You went out for the salvation of your people, for the salvation of your anointed. You crushed the head of the land of wickedness. You stripped them head to foot. Selah.

Du durchbohrst mit ihren eigenen Speeren das Haupt seiner Horden; sie stürmten einher, um mich in die Flucht zu schlagen, und erhoben ihr Freudengeschrei, als wollten sie den Elenden im Verborgenen verzehren.

Horadaste con sus báculos las cabezas de sus villas, que como tempestad acometieron para derramarme: su orgullo era como para devorar al pobre encubiertamente.

Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing was as to devour the poor secretly.

You pierced the heads of his warriors with their own spears. They came as a whirlwind to scatter me, gloating as if to devour the wretched in secret.

Du betrittst das Meer mit deinen Rossen, die schäumenden Wassermassen.

Hiciste camino en la mar á tus caballos, por montón de grandes aguas.

Thou didst walk through the sea with thine horses, through the heap of great waters.

You trampled the sea with your horses, churning mighty waters.

Als ich das hörte, erzitterte mein Leib; ob dieser Stimme erbebten meine Lippen; Fäulnis drang in mein Gebein, und meine Füße zitterten, denn sollte ich ruhig sein können am Tage der Not, da gegen das Volk heranzieht, der es angreifen will?

Oí, y tembló mi vientre; á la voz se batieron mis labios; pudrición se entró en mis huesos, y en mi asiento me estremecí; si bien estaré quieto en el día de la angustia, cuando suba al pueblo el que lo invadirá con sus tropas.

When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.

I heard, and my body trembled. My lips quivered at the voice. Rottenness enters into my bones, and I tremble in my place because I must wait quietly for the day of trouble, for the coming up of the people who invade us.

Denn der Feigenbaum wird nicht ausschlagen und der Weinstock keinen Ertrag abwerfen; die Frucht des Ölbaums wird trügen, und die Äcker werden keine Nahrung liefern; die Schafe werden aus den Hürden verschwinden und kein Rind mehr in den Ställen sein.

Aunque la higuera no florecerá, ni en las vides habrá frutos; mentirá la obra de la oliva, y los labrados no darán mantenimiento, y las ovejas serán quitadas de la majada, y no habrá vacas en los corrales;

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:

For even though the fig tree doesn’t flourish, nor fruit be in the vines, the labor of the olive fails, the fields yield no food, the flocks are cut off from the fold, and there is no herd in the stalls,

Ich aber will mich im HERRN freuen und frohlocken über den Gott meines Heils!

Con todo, yo me alegraré en Jehová, y me gozaré en el Dios de mi salud.

Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

yet I will rejoice in the LORD. I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!

Der HERR, der Herr, ist meine Kraft; er hat meine Füße denen der Hindinnen gleich gemacht und wird mich auf meine Höhen treten lassen! Dem Vorsteher, auf meinem Saiteninstrument.

Jehová el Señor es mi fortaleza, el cual pondrá mis pies como de ciervas, y me hará andar sobre mis alturas. Al jefe de los cantores sobre mis instrumentos de cuerdas.

The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.

GOD, the Lord, is my strength. He makes my feet like deer’s feet, and enables me to go in high places. For the music director, on my stringed instruments.
