La deuxième année du roi Darius, au sixième mois, le premier du mois, la parole de l'Eternel fût adressée par la bouche d'Aggée, le prophète, à Zorobabel, fils de Séalthiel, gouverneur de Juda, et à Jéhosua, fils de Jéhotsadak, grand-sacrificateur, en ces termes :

EN el año segundo del rey Darío en el mes sexto, en el primer día del mes, fué palabra de Jehová, por mano del profeta Haggeo, á Zorobabel hijo de Sealtiel, gobernador de Judá, y á Josué hijo de Josadac, gran sacerdote, diciendo:

In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,

In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, the LORD’s word came by Haggai the prophet, to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying,

Ainsi a dit l'Eternel des armées : Ce peuple dit : Le temps n'est pas là, le temps où la maison de l'Eternel sera rebâtie.

Jehová de los ejércitos habla así, diciendo: Este pueblo dice: No es aún venido el tiempo, el tiempo de que la casa de Jehová sea reedificada.

Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD’s house should be built.

“This is what the LORD of Armies says: These people say, ‘The time hasn’t yet come, the time for the LORD’s house to be built.’”

C'est pourquoi la parole de l'Eternel se fit entendre par la bouche d'Aggée, le prophète :

Fué pues palabra de Jehová por mano del profeta Haggeo, diciendo:

Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,

Est-il temps pour vous-mêmes d'habiter vos maisons lambrissées, alors que cette maison-là est en ruines ?

¿Es para vosotros tiempo, para vosotros, de morar en vuestras casas enmaderadas, y esta casa está desierta?

Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?

“Is it a time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, while this house lies waste?

Et maintenant, ainsi a dit l'Eternel des armées : Considérez attentivement ce qui vous est arrivé.

Pues así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Pensad bien sobre vuestros caminos.

Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.

Now therefore this is what the LORD of Armies says: ‘Consider your ways.

Vous avez semé beaucoup et recueilli peu, mangé, mais non jusqu'à être rassasiés, bu, mais pas à votre soûl ; vous vous êtes vêtus, sans être réchauffés. Celui qui s'engageait mettait ses gages dans une bourse trouée.

Sembráis mucho, y encerráis poco; coméis, y no os hartáis; bebéis, y no os saciáis; os vestís, y no os calentáis; y el que anda á jornal recibe su jornal en trapo horadado.

Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.

You have sown much, and bring in little. You eat, but you don’t have enough. You drink, but you aren’t filled with drink. You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; and he who earns wages earns wages to put them into a bag with holes in it.’

Ainsi a dit l'Eternel des armées : Considérez attentivement ce qui vous est arrivé.

Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Meditad sobre vuestros caminos.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.

“This is what the LORD of Armies says: ‘Consider your ways.

Allez à la montagne, apportez du bois et bâtissez la maison ; j'y prendrai plaisir et en serai glorifié, dit l'Eternel.

Subid al monte, y traed madera, y reedificad la casa; y pondré en ella mi voluntad, y seré honrado, ha dicho Jehová.

Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.

Go up to the mountain, bring wood, and build the house. I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified,” says the LORD.

On comptait sur beaucoup, et voici, il n'y a eu que peu ; vous aviez rentré vos récoltes, et j'ai soufflé dessus. Pourquoi ? dit l'Eternel des armées. A cause de ma maison qui est en ruines, tandis que chacun de vous s'empresse pour sa maison.

Buscáis mucho, y halláis poco; y encerráis en casa, y soplo en ello. ¿Por qué? dice Jehová de los ejércitos. Por cuanto mi casa está desierta, y cada uno de vosotros corre á su propia casa.

Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.

“You looked for much, and, behold, it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?” says the LORD of Armies, “Because of my house that lies waste, while each of you is busy with his own house.

C'est pourquoi les cieux vous ont retenu leur rosée, et la terre a retenu ses fruits.

Por eso se detuvo de los cielos sobre vosotros la lluvia, y la tierra detuvo sus frutos.

Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.

Therefore for your sake the heavens withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit.

Et j'ai appelé la sécheresse sur le pays et sur les montagnes, sur le blé, sur le moût, sur l'huile, sur tout ce que doit produire le sol, ainsi que sur l'homme, sur les bêtes et sur tout le travail des mains.

Y llamé la sequedad sobre esta tierra, y sobre los montes, y sobre el trigo, y sobre el vino, y sobre el aceite, y sobre todo lo que la tierra produce, y sobre los hombres y sobre las bestias, y sobre todo trabajo de manos.

And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.

I called for a drought on the land, on the mountains, on the grain, on the new wine, on the oil, on that which the ground produces, on men, on livestock, and on all the labor of the hands.”

Alors Zorobabel, fils de Séalthiel, Jéhosua, fils de Jéhotsadak, grand-sacrificateur, et tout ce qui restait du peuple, écoutèrent la voix de l'Eternel, leur Dieu, et les paroles d'Aggée, le prophète, selon le message dont l'Eternel, leur Dieu, l'avait chargé, et le peuple eut crainte de l'Eternel.

Y oyó Zorobabel hijo de Sealtiel, y Josué hijo de Josadac, gran sacerdote, y todo el demás pueblo, la voz de Jehová su Dios, y las palabras del profeta Haggeo, como lo había enviado Jehová el Dios de ellos; y temió el pueblo delante de Jehová.

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the LORD their God’s voice, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him; and the people feared the LORD.

Alors Aggée, envoyé de l'Eternel, parla au peuple, en vertu de la mission de l'Eternel, en ces termes : Je suis avec vous, dit l'Eternel.

Entonces Haggeo, enviado de Jehová, habló por mandado de Jehová, al pueblo, diciendo: Yo soy con vosotros, dice Jehová.

Then spake Haggai the LORD’s messenger in the LORD’s message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith the LORD.

Then Haggai, the LORD’s messenger, spoke the LORD’s message to the people, saying, “I am with you,” says the LORD.

Et l'Eternel réveilla l'esprit de Zorobabel, fils de Séalthiel, gouverneur de Juda, et l'esprit de Jéhosua, fils de Jéhotsadak, grand-sacrificateur, et l'esprit de tout ce qui restait du peuple ; ils se mirent à travailler à la maison de l'Eternel,

Y despertó Jehová el espíritu de Zorobabel hijo de Sealtiel, gobernador de Judá, y el espíritu de Josué hijo de Josadac, gran sacerdote, y el espíritu de todo el resto del pueblo; y vinieron é hicieron obra en la casa de Jehová de los ejércitos, su Dios,

And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,

The LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked on the house of the LORD of Armies, their God,

En el día veinte y cuatro del mes sexto, en el segundo año del rey Darío.
