La seconde année du Roi Darius, le premier jour du sixième mois, la parole de l’Eternel fut adressée par le moyen d’Aggée le Prophète, à Zorobabel, fils de Salathiel, Gouverneur de Judée, et à Jéhosuah, fils de Jéhotsadak, grand Sacrificateur, en disant :
EN el año segundo del rey Darío en el mes sexto, en el primer día del mes, fué palabra de Jehová, por mano del profeta Haggeo, á Zorobabel hijo de Sealtiel, gobernador de Judá, y á Josué hijo de Josadac, gran sacerdote, diciendo:
In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,

Ainsi a parlé l’Erternel des armées, en disant : Ce peuple-ci a dit : Le temps n’est pas ecore venu, le temps de rebâtir la maison de l’Eternel.
Jehová de los ejércitos habla así, diciendo: Este pueblo dice: No es aún venido el tiempo, el tiempo de que la casa de Jehová sea reedificada.
Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD’s house should be built.
“This is what the LORD of Armies says: These people say, ‘The time hasn’t yet come, the time for the LORD’s house to be built.’”
C’est pourquoi la parole de l’Eternel a été adressée par le moyen d’Aggée le Prophète, en disant :
Fué pues palabra de Jehová por mano del profeta Haggeo, diciendo:

Est-il temps pour vous d’habiter dans vos maisons lambrissées, pendant que cette maison demeure désolée ?
¿Es para vosotros tiempo, para vosotros, de morar en vuestras casas enmaderadas, y esta casa está desierta?
Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?
“Is it a time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, while this house lies waste?
Maintenat donc ainsi a dit l’Eternel des armées : Considérez attentivement votre conduite.
Pues así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Pensad bien sobre vuestros caminos.
Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
Now therefore this is what the LORD of Armies says: ‘Consider your ways.
Vous avez semé beaucoup, mais vous avez peu serré ; vous avez mangé, mais non pas jusqu’à être rassasiés ; vous avez bu, mais vous n’avez pas eu de quoi boire abondamment ; vous avez été vêtus, mais non pas jusqu’à en être échauffés, et celui qui se loue, se loue pour mettre son salaire dans un sac percé.
Sembráis mucho, y encerráis poco; coméis, y no os hartáis; bebéis, y no os saciáis; os vestís, y no os calentáis; y el que anda á jornal recibe su jornal en trapo horadado.
Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.
You have sown much, and bring in little. You eat, but you don’t have enough. You drink, but you aren’t filled with drink. You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; and he who earns wages earns wages to put them into a bag with holes in it.’
Ainsi a dit l’Eternel des armées : Pesez bien votre conduite.
Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Meditad sobre vuestros caminos.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.
“This is what the LORD of Armies says: ‘Consider your ways.
Montez à la montagne, apportez du bois, et bâtissez cette maison ; et j’y prendrai mon plaisir, et je serai glorifié, a dit l’Eternel.
Subid al monte, y traed madera, y reedificad la casa; y pondré en ella mi voluntad, y seré honrado, ha dicho Jehová.
Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.

On regardait à beaucoup, et voici, tout est revenu à peu ; et vous l’avez apporté à la maison, et j’ai soufflé desssus ; pourquoi ? A cause de ma maison, dit l’Eternel des armées, laquelle demeure désolée, pendant que vous courez chacun à sa maison.
Buscáis mucho, y halláis poco; y encerráis en casa, y soplo en ello. ¿Por qué? dice Jehová de los ejércitos. Por cuanto mi casa está desierta, y cada uno de vosotros corre á su propia casa.
Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.
“You looked for much, and, behold, it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?” says the LORD of Armies, “Because of my house that lies waste, while each of you is busy with his own house.
A cause de cela les cieux se sont fermés sur nous pour ne point donner la rosée, et la terre a retenu son rapport.
Por eso se detuvo de los cielos sobre vosotros la lluvia, y la tierra detuvo sus frutos.
Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.
Therefore for your sake the heavens withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit.
Et j’ai appelé la sécheresse sur la terre, et sur les montagnes, et sur le froment, et sur le moût, et sur l’huile, et sur tout ce que la terre produit, et sur les hommes, et sur les bêtes, et sur tout le travail des mains.
Y llamé la sequedad sobre esta tierra, y sobre los montes, y sobre el trigo, y sobre el vino, y sobre el aceite, y sobre todo lo que la tierra produce, y sobre los hombres y sobre las bestias, y sobre todo trabajo de manos.
And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.

Zorobabel donc, fils de Salathiel, et Jéhosuah, fils de Jéhotsadak, grand Sacrificateur, et tout le reste du peuple, entendirent la voix de l’Eternel leur Dieu, et les paroles d’Aggée le Prophète, ainsi que l’Eternel leur Dieu l’avait envoyé ; et le peuple eut peur de la présence de l’Eternel.
Y oyó Zorobabel hijo de Sealtiel, y Josué hijo de Josadac, gran sacerdote, y todo el demás pueblo, la voz de Jehová su Dios, y las palabras del profeta Haggeo, como lo había enviado Jehová el Dios de ellos; y temió el pueblo delante de Jehová.
Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.

Et Aggée, Ambassadeur de l’Eternel, parla au peuple, suivant l’ambassade de l’Eternel, en disant : Je suis avec vous, dit l’Eternel.
Entonces Haggeo, enviado de Jehová, habló por mandado de Jehová, al pueblo, diciendo: Yo soy con vosotros, dice Jehová.
Then spake Haggai the LORD’s messenger in the LORD’s message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith the LORD.
Then Haggai, the LORD’s messenger, spoke the LORD’s message to the people, saying, “I am with you,” says the LORD.
Et l’Eternel excita l’esprit de Zorobabel fils de Salathiel, Gouverneur de Juda, et l’esprit de Jéhosuah, fils de Jéhotsadak, grand Sacrificateur, et l’esprit de tout le reste du peuple ; et ils vinrent, et travaillèrent à la maison de l’Eternel leur Dieu.
Y despertó Jehová el espíritu de Zorobabel hijo de Sealtiel, gobernador de Judá, y el espíritu de Josué hijo de Josadac, gran sacerdote, y el espíritu de todo el resto del pueblo; y vinieron é hicieron obra en la casa de Jehová de los ejércitos, su Dios,
And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,
