No segundo ano do rei Dario, no sexto mês, no primeiro dia do mês, a palavra de Yahweh veio pelo profeta Ageu, para o governador de Judá, Zorobabel, filho de Sealtiel, e para o sumo sacerdote Josué, filho de Jozadaque, e disse:

EN el año segundo del rey Darío en el mes sexto, en el primer día del mes, fué palabra de Jehová, por mano del profeta Haggeo, á Zorobabel hijo de Sealtiel, gobernador de Judá, y á Josué hijo de Josadac, gran sacerdote, diciendo:

In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,

In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, the LORD’s word came by Haggai the prophet, to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying,

"Assim diz Yahweh dos Exércitos: 'Este povo diz: Não é a hora para virmos ou para construirmos a casa de Yahweh'".

Jehová de los ejércitos habla así, diciendo: Este pueblo dice: No es aún venido el tiempo, el tiempo de que la casa de Jehová sea reedificada.

Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD’s house should be built.

“This is what the LORD of Armies says: These people say, ‘The time hasn’t yet come, the time for the LORD’s house to be built.’”

E então a palavra de Yahweh veio pelo profeta Ageu, e disse:

Fué pues palabra de Jehová por mano del profeta Haggeo, diciendo:

Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,

Then the LORD’s word came by Haggai the prophet, saying,

"Seria este o tempo de viverdes em casas bem construídas, enquanto esta casa continua arruinada?

¿Es para vosotros tiempo, para vosotros, de morar en vuestras casas enmaderadas, y esta casa está desierta?

Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?

“Is it a time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, while this house lies waste?

Então, Yahweh dos Exércitos diz: 'Considerai vossos caminhos!

Pues así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Pensad bien sobre vuestros caminos.

Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.

Now therefore this is what the LORD of Armies says: ‘Consider your ways.

Vós semeastes muitas sementes, mas recolhestes pouco; vós comeis, mas não tendes o suficiente; vós bebeis, mas não vos saciais. Vós vestis roupas, mas não vos aqueceis, e o assalariado ganha dinheiro apenas para pôr em bolsa cheia de furos!'".

Sembráis mucho, y encerráis poco; coméis, y no os hartáis; bebéis, y no os saciáis; os vestís, y no os calentáis; y el que anda á jornal recibe su jornal en trapo horadado.

Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.

You have sown much, and bring in little. You eat, but you don’t have enough. You drink, but you aren’t filled with drink. You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; and he who earns wages earns wages to put them into a bag with holes in it.’

Assim diz Yahweh dos Exércitos: "Considerai os vossos caminhos!

Así ha dicho Jehová de los ejércitos: Meditad sobre vuestros caminos.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.

“This is what the LORD of Armies says: ‘Consider your ways.

Subi a montanha, trazei madeira, e construí a Minha casa; então terei prazer nela, e Eu serei glorificado!", diz Yahweh.

Subid al monte, y traed madera, y reedificad la casa; y pondré en ella mi voluntad, y seré honrado, ha dicho Jehová.

Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.

"Vós procurais por mais, mas — vede! — tendes trazido pouco para casa, mas Eu com um sopro o dissipei! Por quê?" Esta é a declaração de Yahweh dos Exércitos: "Porque Minha casa continua em ruínas, enquanto cada homem tem prazer em sua própria casa.

Buscáis mucho, y halláis poco; y encerráis en casa, y soplo en ello. ¿Por qué? dice Jehová de los ejércitos. Por cuanto mi casa está desierta, y cada uno de vosotros corre á su propia casa.

Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.

“You looked for much, and, behold, it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?” says the LORD of Armies, “Because of my house that lies waste, while each of you is busy with his own house.

Por causa disso, os céus retêm o orvalho de vós, e a terra retém sua produção.

Por eso se detuvo de los cielos sobre vosotros la lluvia, y la tierra detuvo sus frutos.

Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.

Therefore for your sake the heavens withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit.

Eu tenho mandado a seca sobre a terra e sobre as montanhas, sobre o grão e sobre o vinho novo, sobre o óleo e sobre a colheita da terra, sobre os homens e sobre os animais, e sobre todo o trabalho de suas mãos!".

Y llamé la sequedad sobre esta tierra, y sobre los montes, y sobre el trigo, y sobre el vino, y sobre el aceite, y sobre todo lo que la tierra produce, y sobre los hombres y sobre las bestias, y sobre todo trabajo de manos.

And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.

I called for a drought on the land, on the mountains, on the grain, on the new wine, on the oil, on that which the ground produces, on men, on livestock, and on all the labor of the hands.”

Então Zorobabel, filho de Sealtiel, e o sumo sacerdote Josué, filho de Jozadaque, junto com o remanescente do povo, obedeceram à voz de Yahweh, seu Deus, e as palavras do profeta Ageu, porque Yahweh, seu Deus, o tinha enviado. As pessoas temeram a face de Yahweh.

Y oyó Zorobabel hijo de Sealtiel, y Josué hijo de Josadac, gran sacerdote, y todo el demás pueblo, la voz de Jehová su Dios, y las palabras del profeta Haggeo, como lo había enviado Jehová el Dios de ellos; y temió el pueblo delante de Jehová.

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the LORD their God’s voice, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him; and the people feared the LORD.

Depois Ageu, o mensageiro de Yahweh, falou a mensagem de Yahweh para o povo e disse: "'Eu estou convosco!' Essa é a declaração de Yahweh!

Entonces Haggeo, enviado de Jehová, habló por mandado de Jehová, al pueblo, diciendo: Yo soy con vosotros, dice Jehová.

Then spake Haggai the LORD’s messenger in the LORD’s message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith the LORD.

Then Haggai, the LORD’s messenger, spoke the LORD’s message to the people, saying, “I am with you,” says the LORD.

Então, Yahweh moveu o espírito do governador de Judá, Zorobabel, filho de Sealtiel, e o espírito do sumo sacerdote Josué, filho de Jozadaque, e o espírito de todo o remanescente do povo, de modo que eles foram e trabalharam na casa de Yahweh dos Exércitos, seu Deus,

Y despertó Jehová el espíritu de Zorobabel hijo de Sealtiel, gobernador de Judá, y el espíritu de Josué hijo de Josadac, gran sacerdote, y el espíritu de todo el resto del pueblo; y vinieron é hicieron obra en la casa de Jehová de los ejércitos, su Dios,

And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,

no vigésimo quarto dia do sexto mês, no segundo ano do rei Dario.

En el día veinte y cuatro del mes sexto, en el segundo año del rey Darío.
