Hätten sie nun dabei an jenes (Vaterland) gedacht, aus dem sie ausgewandert waren, so hätten sie Zeit zur Rückkehr dorthin gehabt;

Que si se acordaran de aquella de donde salieron, cierto tenían tiempo para volverse:

And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.

If indeed they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had enough time to return.
