Er wollte lieber mit dem Volke Gottes Ungemach leiden, als zeitliche Ergötzung der Sünde haben,

Escogiendo antes ser afligido con el pueblo de Dios, que gozar de comodidades temporales de pecado.

Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

choosing rather to share ill treatment with God’s people than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a time,
