Or ogni disciplina sembra, è vero, per il presente non esser causa d’allegrezza, ma di tristizia; però rende poi un pacifico frutto di giustizia a quelli che sono stati per essa esercitati.

Es verdad que ningún castigo al presente parece ser causa de gozo, sino de tristeza; mas después da fruto apacible de justicia á los que en él son ejercitados.

Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

All chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
