Fijemos nuestros ojos en Jesús, el Autor y Perfeccionador de la fe, Quien despreció el oprobio, sufrió la cruz y se sentó a la derecha del trono de Dios, porque sabía el gozo que tenía delante de Él.
Puestos los ojos en al autor y consumador de la fe, en Jesús; el cual, habiéndole sido propuesto gozo, sufrió la cruz, menospreciando la vergüenza, y sentóse á la diestra del trono de Dios.

y olvidaron la exhortación que les habla como a hijos: Hijo mío, no menosprecies la disciplina del Señor, Ni te desalientes cuando te reprenda.
Y estáis ya olvidados de la exhortación que como con hijos habla con vosotros, diciendo: Hijo mío, no menosprecies el castigo del Señor, ni desmayes cuando eres de él reprendido.
And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
You have forgotten the exhortation which reasons with you as with children, “My son, don’t take lightly the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are reproved by him;
Porque el Señor disciplina al que ama Y castiga al que recibe como hijo.
Porque el Señor al que ama castiga, y azota á cualquiera que recibe por hijo.
For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Soporten la disciplina. Dios los trata como a hijos, porque ¿a cuál hijo no disciplina su padre?
Si sufrís el castigo, Dios se os presenta como á hijos; porque ¿qué hijo es aquel á quien el padre no castiga?
If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
It is for discipline that you endure. God deals with you as with children, for what son is there whom his father doesn’t discipline?
Pero si a ustedes no se les aplica disciplina, como todos la recibieron, entonces no son hijos verdaderos sino ilegítimos.
Mas si estáis fuera del castigo, del cual todos han sido hechos participantes, luego sois bastardos, y no hijos.
But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Además, tuvimos a nuestros padres terrenales quienes nos disciplinaban y los respetábamos. ¿No nos someteremos mucho más al Padre de los espíritus para que vivamos?

Y ellos ciertamente nos disciplinaron por pocos días según lo que les parecía, pero la disciplina de Dios es para lo provechoso, a fin de que participemos de su santidad.

See that you don’t refuse him who speaks. For if they didn’t escape when they refused him who warned on the earth, how much more will we not escape who turn away from him who warns from heaven,
cuya voz entonces sacudió la tierra, pero ahora prometió: Una vez más Yo sacudiré no solo la tierra sino también el cielo.
La voz del cual entonces conmovió la tierra; mas ahora ha denunciado, diciendo: Aun una vez, y yo conmoveré no solamente la tierra, mas aun el cielo.
Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

Esta frase: una vez más, indica la remoción de las cosas movibles, como cosas hechas, para que permanezcan las inconmovibles.

And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Por cuanto recibimos un reino inconmovible, mostremos gratitud a Dios de manera aceptable con reverencia y temor,
