Dios, que en el pasado habló a nuestros padres por medio de los profetas en distintas épocas y de muchas maneras,
DIOS, habiendo hablado muchas veces y en muchas maneras en otro tiempo á los padres por los profetas,
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,
en estos días nos ha hablado por medio de su Hijo. Dios designó al Hijo como heredero de todo, e hizo el universo por medio de él.
En estos postreros días nos ha hablado por el Hijo, al cual constituyó heredero de todo, por el cual asimismo hizo el universo:
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds.
El Hijo es la gloria radiante de Dios, y la expresión visible de su verdadero carácter. Él sostiene todas las cosas con su poderoso mandato. Cuando hizo provisión para limpiar el pecado, se sentó a la diestra de la Majestad del cielo.
El cual siendo el resplandor de su gloria, y la misma imagen de su sustancia, y sustentando todas las cosas con la palabra de su potencia, habiendo hecho la purgación de nuestros pecados por sí mismo, se sentó á la diestra de la Majestad en las alturas,
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, who, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high,
Y fue puesto en un lugar más elevado que los ángeles porque recibió un nombre más grande que ellos.
Hecho tanto más excelente que los ángeles, cuanto alcanzó por herencia más excelente nombre que ellos.
Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
having become as much better than the angels as the more excellent name he has inherited is better than theirs.
Dios nunca le dijo a ningún ángel: “Tú eres mi hijo; hoy me he convertido en tu Padre”, o “Seré su Padre, y él será mi Hijo”.
Porque ¿á cuál de los ángeles dijo Dios jamás: Mi hijo eres tú, hoy yo te he engendrado? y otra vez: Yo seré á él Padre, y él me será á mí hijo?
For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
For to which of the angels did he say at any time, “You are my Son. Today I have become your father?” and again, “I will be to him a Father, and he will be to me a Son?”
Además, cuando trajo a su Hijo primogénito al mundo, dijo: “Adórenlo todos los ángeles de Dios”.
Y otra vez, cuando introduce al Primogénito en la tierra, dice: Y adórenle todos los ángeles de Dios.
And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
When he again brings in the firstborn into the world he says, “Let all the angels of God worship him.”
En cuanto a los ángeles, él dijo: “Él transforma a sus ángeles en vientos, y a sus siervos en llamas de fuego”,
Y ciertamente de los ángeles dice: El que hace á sus ángeles espíritus, y á sus ministros llama de fuego.
And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
Of the angels he says, “He makes his angels winds, and his servants a flame of fire.”
pero respecto al Hijo, dice: “Tu trono, oh Dios, perdura por siempre y para siempre, y la justicia es el cetro de tu reino.
Mas al hijo: Tu trono, oh Dios, por el siglo del siglo; vara de equidad la vara de tu reino;
But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your Kingdom.
Tú amas lo recto, y aborreces el desorden. Es por eso que Dios, tu Dios, te ha puesto por encima de todos los demás, ungiéndote con el aceite del gozo”.
Has amado la justicia, y aborrecido la maldad; por lo cual te ungió Dios, el Dios tuyo, con óleo de alegría más que á tus compañeros.
Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
You have loved righteousness and hated iniquity; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.”
“Tú, Señor, pusiste los fundamentos de la tierra en el principio. Los cielos son producto de tus manos.
Y: Tú, oh Señor, en el principio fundaste la tierra; y los cielos son obras de tus manos:
And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
And, “You, Lord, in the beginning, laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the works of your hands.
Un día se acabarán, pero tú seguirás. Se desgastarán como se desgasta la ropa,
Ellos perecerán, mas tú eres permanente; y todos ellos se envejecerán como una vestidura;
They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
They will perish, but you continue. They all will grow old like a garment does.
y los enrollarás como un manto. Los cambiarás como cambiar la ropa, y tu vida no cesa jamás”.
Y como un vestido los envolverás, y serán mudados; empero tú eres el mismo, y tus años no acabarán.
And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
You will roll them up like a mantle, and they will be changed; but you are the same. Your years won’t fail.”
Pero nunca le dijo a ningún ángel: “Siéntate a mi diestra hasta que sujete a tus enemigos debajo de tus pies”.
Pues, ¿á cuál de los ángeles dijo jamás: Siéntate á mi diestra, hasta que ponga á tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies?
But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
But which of the angels has he told at any time, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet?”
¿Qué son los ángeles? Son seres que sirven, que han sido enviados para ayudar a los que recibirán la salvación.
¿No son todos espíritus administradores, enviados para servicio á favor de los que serán herederos de salud?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
Aren’t they all serving spirits, sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?
