Darum müssen wir uns um so fester an das halten, was wir gehört haben, um seiner ja nicht verlustig zu gehen.

POR tanto, es menester que con más diligencia atendamos á las cosas que hemos oído, porque acaso no nos escurramos.

Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

Therefore we ought to pay greater attention to the things that were heard, lest perhaps we drift away.

Denn wenn schon das durch Vermittlung von Engeln verkündete Wort unverbrüchlich war und jede Übertretung und jeder Ungehorsam die gebührende Vergeltung empfing:

Porque si la palabra dicha por los ángeles fué firme, y toda rebelión y desobediencia recibió justa paga de retribución,

For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;

For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just penalty,

wie sollten wir da (der Strafe) entrinnen, wenn wir ein so hohes Heil unbeachtet lassen? Dieses hat ja seinen Anfang von der Verkündigung durch den Herrn (selbst) genommen und ist uns dann von den Ohrenzeugen zuverlässig bestätigt worden,

¿Cómo escaparemos nosotros, si tuviéremos en poco una salud tan grande? La cual, habiendo comenzado á ser publicada por el Señor, ha sido confirmada hasta nosotros por los que oyeron;

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation—which at the first having been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard,

wobei auch Gott noch Zeugnis dafür abgelegt hat durch Zeichen und Wunder, durch mannigfache Krafttaten und Austeilungen des heiligen Geistes, nach seinem Ermessen.

Testificando juntamente con ellos Dios, con señales y milagros, y diversas maravillas, y repartimientos del Espíritu Santo según su voluntad.

God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders, by various works of power, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will?

Denn nicht Engeln hat er die zukünftige Welt, von der wir hier reden, unterstellt,

Porque no sujetó á los ángeles el mundo venidero, del cual hablamos.

For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.

For he didn’t subject the world to come, of which we speak, to angels.

vielmehr hat jemand an einer Stelle ausdrücklich bezeugt: »Was ist der Mensch, daß du seiner gedenkst, oder des Menschen Sohn, daß du ihn beachtest?

Testificó empero uno en cierto lugar, diciendo: ¿Qué es el hombre, que te acuerdas de él? ¿ó el hijo del hombre, que le visitas?

But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?

But one has somewhere testified, saying, “What is man, that you think of him? Or the son of man, that you care for him?

Du hast ihn für eine kurze Zeit unter die Engel erniedrigt, ihn (dann aber) mit Herrlichkeit und Ehre gekrönt;

Tú le hiciste un poco menor que los ángeles, coronástele de gloria y de honra, y pusístele sobre las obras de tus manos;

Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:

You made him a little lower than the angels. You crowned him with glory and honor.

alles hast du ihm unter die Füße unterworfen.« Dadurch nämlich, daß er »ihm alles unterworfen hat«, hat er nichts von der Unterwerfung unter ihn ausgenommen. Bisher nehmen wir allerdings noch nicht wahr, daß ihm alles unterworfen ist;

Todas las cosas sujetaste debajo de sus pies. Porque en cuanto le sujetó todas las cosas, nada dejó que no sea sujeto á él; mas aun no vemos que todas las cosas le sean sujetas.

Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

You have put all things in subjection under his feet.” For in that he subjected all things to him, he left nothing that is not subject to him. But now we don’t yet see all things subjected to him.

wohl aber sehen wir den, der für eine kurze Zeit unter die Engel erniedrigt gewesen ist, nämlich Jesus, um seines Todesleidens willen mit Herrlichkeit und Ehre gekrönt; er sollte ja durch Gottes Gnade für jeden den Tod schmecken.

Empero vemos coronado de gloria y de honra, por el padecimiento de muerte, á aquel Jesús que es hecho un poco menor que los ángeles, para que por gracia de Dios gustase la muerte por todos.

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

But we see him who has been made a little lower than the angels, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God he should taste of death for everyone.

Denn es geziemte ihm, um dessen willen alles ist und durch den alles ist, nachdem er viele Söhne zur Herrlichkeit geführt hatte, den Urheber ihrer Rettung durch Leiden hindurch zur Vollendung zu bringen.

Porque convenía que aquel por cuya causa son todas las cosas, y por el cual todas las cosas subsisten, habiendo de llevar á la gloria á muchos hijos, hiciese consumado por aflicciones al autor de la salud de ellos.

For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

Denn beide, sowohl der Heiligende als auch die, welche (von ihm) geheiligt werden, (kommen = stammen) alle von dem gleichen Vater her; aus diesem Grunde schämt er sich auch nicht, sie »Brüder« zu nennen,

Porque el que santifica y los que son santificados, de uno son todos: por lo cual no se avergüenza de llamarlos hermanos,

For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

indem er sagt: »Ich will deinen Namen meinen Brüdern verkündigen, inmitten der Gemeinde will ich dich preisen«;

Diciendo: Anunciaré á mis hermanos tu nombre, en medio de la congregación te alabaré.

Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.

saying, “I will declare your name to my brothers. Among the congregation I will sing your praise.”

und an einer andern Stelle: »Ich will mein Vertrauen auf ihn setzen«; und wiederum: »Siehe, hier bin ich und die Kinder, die Gott mir gegeben hat.«

Y otra vez: Yo confiaré en él. Y otra vez: He aquí, yo y los hijos que me dió Dios.

And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.

Again, “I will put my trust in him.” Again, “Behold, here I am with the children whom God has given me.”

Weil nun die Kinder (leiblich) am Blut und Fleisch Anteil haben, hat auch er gleichermaßen Anteil an ihnen erhalten, um durch seinen Tod den zu vernichten, der die Macht des Todes hat, nämlich den Teufel,

Así que, por cuanto los hijos participaron de carne y sangre, él también participó de lo mismo, para destruir por la muerte al que tenía el imperio de la muerte, es á saber, al diablo,

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

und um alle die in Freiheit zu setzen, die durch Furcht vor dem Tode während ihres ganzen Lebens in Knechtschaft gehalten wurden.

Y librar á los que por el temor de la muerte estaban por toda la vida sujetos á servidumbre.

And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Denn es sind doch sicherlich nicht Engel, deren er sich anzunehmen hat, sondern der Nachkommenschaft Abrahams nimmt er sich an;

Porque ciertamente no tomó á los ángeles, sino á la simiente de Abraham tomó.

For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

For most certainly, he doesn’t give help to angels, but he gives help to the offspring of Abraham.

und daher mußte er in allen Stücken seinen Brüdern gleich werden, damit er barmherzig würde und ein treuer Hoherpriester Gott gegenüber, um für die Sünden des Volkes Vergebung zu erwirken.

Por lo cual, debía ser en todo semejante á los hermanos, para venir á ser misericordioso y fiel Pontífice en lo que es para con Dios, para expiar los pecados del pueblo.

Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Therefore he was obligated in all things to be made like his brothers, that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.

Denn eben deshalb, weil er selbst Versuchung erlitten hat, vermag er denen zu helfen, die versucht werden.

Porque en cuanto él mismo padeció siendo tentado, es poderoso para socorrer á los que son tentados.

For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
