Por lo tanto, hermanos míos, a quienes Dios ha apartado para sí y que participan en el mismo llamado de la salvación, piensen ahora en Jesús, apóstol y sumo sacerdote de nuestra fe.
POR tanto, hermanos santos, participantes de la vocación celestial, considerad al Apóstol y Pontífice de nuestra profesión, Cristo Jesús;
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession: Jesus,
Jesús fue fiel a Dios, que lo nombró sumo sacerdote, así como también Moisés fue fiel en el servicio a toda la casa de Dios.
El cual es fiel al que le constituyó, como también lo fué Moisés sobre toda su casa.
Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
who was faithful to him who appointed him, as also Moses was in all his house.
Pero Jesús tiene mayor honor que Moisés, porque el que construye una casa tiene más honor que la casa misma.
Porque de tanto mayor gloria que Moisés éste es estimado digno, cuanto tiene mayor dignidad que la casa el que la fabricó.
For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
For he has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, because he who built the house has more honor than the house.
Toda casa es hecha por un constructor, pero Dios es el que construye todo lo que existe.
Porque toda casa es edificada de alguno: mas el que crió todas las cosas es Dios.
For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
For every house is built by someone; but he who built all things is God.
Pues bien, Moisés fue fiel en su trabajo como siervo en la casa de Dios; lo hacía para dar testimonio de lo que Dios diría en el futuro.
Y Moisés á la verdad fué fiel sobre toda su casa, como siervo, para testificar lo que se había de decir;
And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken,
En cambio, Cristo es fiel como Hijo sobre la casa de Dios. Y nosotros somos la casa de Dios si mantenemos hasta el fin nuestra entereza y la esperanza que nos hace sentir orgullosos.
Mas Cristo como hijo, sobre su casa; la cual casa somos nosotros, si hasta el cabo retuviéremos firme la confianza y la gloria de la esperanza.
But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
but Christ is faithful as a Son over his house. We are his house, if we hold fast our confidence and the glorying of our hope firm to the end.
Como dice el Espíritu Santo: «Si ustedes escuchan hoy su voz,
Por lo cual, como dice el Espíritu Santo: Si oyereis hoy su voz,
Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
Therefore, even as the Holy Spirit says, “Today if you will hear his voice,
no endurezcan el corazón como sucedió en la rebelión, en aquel día de prueba en el desierto.
No endurezcáis vuestros corazones como en la provocación, en el día de la tentación en el desierto,
Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
don’t harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of the trial in the wilderness,
Allí sus antepasados me tentaron y me pusieron a prueba, a pesar de haber visto mis obras por cuarenta años.
Donde me tentaron vuestros padres; me probaron, y vieron mis obras cuarenta años.
When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
where your fathers tested me and tried me, and saw my deeds for forty years.
Por eso me enojé con ellos y dije: “Su corazón siempre se extravía y no han reconocido mis caminos”.
A causa de lo cual me enemisté con esta generación, y dije: Siempre divagan ellos de corazón, y no han conocido mis caminos.
Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
Therefore I was displeased with that generation, and said, ‘They always err in their heart, but they didn’t know my ways.’
Entonces, airado contra ellos, juré diciendo: “Jamás entrarán en mi reposo”».
Juré, pues, en mi ira: No entrarán en mi reposo.
So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
As I swore in my wrath, ‘They will not enter into my rest.’”
Por lo tanto, cuídense, hermanos, y no sean incrédulos ni tengan un corazón perverso que los esté apartando del Dios vivo.
Mirad, hermanos, que en ninguno de vosotros haya corazón malo de incredulidad para apartarse del Dios vivo:
Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there might be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God;
Exhórtense todos los días mientras les quede tiempo, para que ninguno se endurezca contra Dios, cegado por el engaño del pecado,
Antes exhortaos los unos á los otros cada día, entre tanto que se dice Hoy; porque ninguno de vosotros se endurezca con engaño de pecado:
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called “today”, lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
pues hemos llegado a tener parte con Cristo, si somos fieles hasta el fin, tal como confiamos en Cristo al principio.
Porque participantes de Cristo somos hechos, con tal que conservemos firme hasta el fin el principio de nuestra confianza;
For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence firm to the end,
Como acabamos de decir: «Si oyen hoy su voz, no endurezcan su corazón como sucedió en la rebelión».
Entre tanto que se dice: Si oyereis hoy su voz, no endurezcáis vuestros corazones, como en la provocación.
While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
while it is said, “Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.”
¿Quiénes fueron los que a pesar de haber escuchado la voz de Dios se rebelaron contra él? Los que escaparon de Egipto comandados por Moisés.
Porque algunos de los que habían salido de Egipto con Moisés, habiendo oído, provocaron, aunque no todos.
For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
For who, when they heard, rebelled? Wasn’t it all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses?
¿Contra quiénes estuvo enojado Dios durante aquellos cuarenta años? Contra los que, por haber pecado, murieron en el desierto.
Mas ¿con cuáles estuvo enojado cuarenta años? ¿No fué con los que pecaron, cuyos cuerpos cayeron en el desierto?
But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
With whom was he displeased forty years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?
Y ¿a quiénes se refería Dios cuando juró que no entrarían a la tierra que había prometido a su pueblo? Se refería a los que lo habían desobedecido.
¿Y á quiénes juró que no entrarían en su reposo, sino á aquellos que no obedecieron?
And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
To whom did he swear that they wouldn’t enter into his rest, but to those who were disobedient?
Como podemos ver, no pudieron entrar porque no confiaban en él.
Y vemos que no pudieron entrar á causa de incredulidad.
So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
We see that they weren’t able to enter in because of unbelief.
