Portanto, meus irmãos na fé, a quem Deus separou para si mesmo — vocês que são escolhidos para o céu — pensem nesse Jesus como aquele que é o mensageiro de Deus e o supremo sacerdote da nossa fé.
POR tanto, hermanos santos, participantes de la vocación celestial, considerad al Apóstol y Pontífice de nuestra profesión, Cristo Jesús;
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

Pois Jesus foi fiel a Deus, que o escolheu, assim como Moisés também servia fielmente na casa de Deus.
El cual es fiel al que le constituyó, como también lo fué Moisés sobre toda su casa.
Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.

Porém Jesus foi considerado de maior glória do que Moisés, assim como um homem que constrói uma casa recebe mais honra do que a própria casa.
Porque de tanto mayor gloria que Moisés éste es estimado digno, cuanto tiene mayor dignidad que la casa el que la fabricó.
For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
For he has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, because he who built the house has more honor than the house.
Uma casa tem de ser construída por alguém, mas Deus é quem edifica tudo.
Porque toda casa es edificada de alguno: mas el que crió todas las cosas es Dios.
For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
For every house is built by someone; but he who built all things is God.
Ora, Moisés fez uma boa obra trabalhando na casa de Deus, porém ele era apenas um servo; e sua obra foi esclarecer e lembrar aquelas coisas que aconteceriam no futuro.
Y Moisés á la verdad fué fiel sobre toda su casa, como siervo, para testificar lo que se había de decir;
And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken,
Mas Cristo, o Filho de Deus, é fiel e é o responsável absoluto pela casa de Deus. E nós, os servos de Cristo, somos a casa de Deus — ele mora em nós — se conservarmos a nossa coragem firme até o fim, bem como a nossa alegria e a nossa esperança no Senhor.
Mas Cristo como hijo, sobre su casa; la cual casa somos nosotros, si hasta el cabo retuviéremos firme la confianza y la gloria de la esperanza.
But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

E, uma vez que Cristo é tão superior, o Espírito Santo nos adverte: “Hoje, se vocês ouvirem a sua voz,
Por lo cual, como dice el Espíritu Santo: Si oyereis hoy su voz,
Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
Therefore, even as the Holy Spirit says, “Today if you will hear his voice,
não permitam que o coração de vocês se endureça, como fez o povo de Israel. Eles se rebelaram durante o tempo da provação no deserto.
No endurezcáis vuestros corazones como en la provocación, en el día de la tentación en el desierto,
Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
don’t harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of the trial in the wilderness,
Ali os seus antepassados me desafiaram e me puseram à prova, apesar da paciência que tive com eles durante quarenta anos e de terem visto tudo o que eu fiz.
Donde me tentaron vuestros padres; me probaron, y vieron mis obras cuarenta años.
When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
where your fathers tested me and tried me, and saw my deeds for forty years.
Por isso, fiquei muito irado com eles, pois seus corações estavam sempre olhando para outro lugar em vez de levantarem os olhos para mim, e não reconheceram os meus caminhos.
A causa de lo cual me enemisté con esta generación, y dije: Siempre divagan ellos de corazón, y no han conocido mis caminos.
Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
Therefore I was displeased with that generation, and said, ‘They always err in their heart, but they didn’t know my ways.’
Assim, eu fiquei irado e fiz este juramento: Jamais permitirei que eles entrem no lugar do meu descanso”.
Juré, pues, en mi ira: No entrarán en mi reposo.
So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
As I swore in my wrath, ‘They will not enter into my rest.’”
Portanto, tomem cuidado com seus próprios corações, irmãos, para que não se tornem maus e incrédulos, levando vocês para longe do Deus vivo.
Mirad, hermanos, que en ninguno de vosotros haya corazón malo de incredulidad para apartarse del Dios vivo:
Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there might be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God;
Falem diariamente uns com os outros a respeito destas coisas durante o dia de hoje, para que nenhum de vocês seja cegado e endurecido pelo engano do pecado.
Antes exhortaos los unos á los otros cada día, entre tanto que se dice Hoy; porque ninguno de vosotros se endurezca con engaño de pecado:
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called “today”, lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
Porque se formos fiéis até o fim, confiando em Deus tal como fizemos no princípio, quando nos tornamos servos de Cristo, participaremos de tudo quanto pertence a Cristo.
Porque participantes de Cristo somos hechos, con tal que conservemos firme hasta el fin el principio de nuestra confianza;
For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence firm to the end,
Nunca se esqueçam da advertência: “Hoje, se ouvirem a sua voz, não endureçam seus corações, como fez o povo de Israel quando se rebelou contra ele no deserto”.
Entre tanto que se dice: Si oyereis hoy su voz, no endurezcáis vuestros corazones, como en la provocación.
While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
while it is said, “Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.”
E quem eram essas pessoas que ouviram a voz de Deus, porém depois se rebelaram contra ele? Não foram aqueles que saíram do Egito com o seu líder Moisés?
Porque algunos de los que habían salido de Egipto con Moisés, habiendo oído, provocaron, aunque no todos.
For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
For who, when they heard, rebelled? Wasn’t it all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses?
E quem deixou Deus irado durante aqueles quarenta anos? Não foram essas mesmas pessoas que pecaram e, como consequência, morreram no deserto?
Mas ¿con cuáles estuvo enojado cuarenta años? ¿No fué con los que pecaron, cuyos cuerpos cayeron en el desierto?
But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
With whom was he displeased forty years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?
E a quem Deus estava falando quando declarou com juramento que eles jamais poderiam entrar no descanso? Não foi àqueles que lhe desobedeceram?
¿Y á quiénes juró que no entrarían en su reposo, sino á aquellos que no obedecieron?
And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
To whom did he swear that they wouldn’t enter into his rest, but to those who were disobedient?
E por que não puderam entrar? Porque não confiaram nele.
Y vemos que no pudieron entrar á causa de incredulidad.
So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
We see that they weren’t able to enter in because of unbelief.
