el cual es fiel al que le ha constituido tal, como lo fue también Moisés con respecto a toda su casa.
POR tanto, hermanos santos, participantes de la vocación celestial, considerad al Apóstol y Pontífice de nuestra profesión, Cristo Jesús;
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession: Jesus,
Considerad, pues, que fue digno de gloria tanto mayor que la de Moisés cuanto mayor dignidad u honra tiene que la casa, aquel que la construyó.
El cual es fiel al que le constituyó, como también lo fué Moisés sobre toda su casa.
Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
who was faithful to him who appointed him, as also Moses was in all his house.
Ello es que toda casa por alguno es construida; mas el que creó y construyó todas las cosas es Dios.
Porque de tanto mayor gloria que Moisés éste es estimado digno, cuanto tiene mayor dignidad que la casa el que la fabricó.
For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
For he has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, because he who built the house has more honor than the house.
Y a la verdad Moisés fue fiel en toda la casa de Dios, o pueblo de Israel, como un sirviente enviado de Dios para anunciar al pueblo todo lo que tenía orden de decirle.
Porque toda casa es edificada de alguno: mas el que crió todas las cosas es Dios.
For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
For every house is built by someone; but he who built all things is God.
Pero Cristo se ha dejado ver como hijo en su propia casa; la cual casa somos nosotros, si hasta el fin mantenemos firme la animosa confianza en él y la esperanza de la gloria.
Y Moisés á la verdad fué fiel sobre toda su casa, como siervo, para testificar lo que se había de decir;
And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken,
Por lo cual nos dice el Espíritu Santo: Si hoy oyereis su voz,
Mas Cristo como hijo, sobre su casa; la cual casa somos nosotros, si hasta el cabo retuviéremos firme la confianza y la gloria de la esperanza.
But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
but Christ is faithful as a Son over his house. We are his house, if we hold fast our confidence and the glorying of our hope firm to the end.
no queráis endurecer vuestros corazones, como sucedió cuando el pueblo estaba en el desierto en el lugar llamado Contradicción y Murmuración,
Por lo cual, como dice el Espíritu Santo: Si oyereis hoy su voz,
Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
Therefore, even as the Holy Spirit says, “Today if you will hear his voice,
en donde vuestros padres me tentaron, queriendo hacer prueba de mi poder, y en donde vieron las cosas grandes que hice.
No endurezcáis vuestros corazones como en la provocación, en el día de la tentación en el desierto,
Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
don’t harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of the trial in the wilderness,
Yo sobrellevé a aquel pueblo con pena y disgusto por espacio de cuarenta años, y dije en mí mismo: Este pueblo sigue siempre los extravíos de su corazó,: él no conoce mis caminos,
Donde me tentaron vuestros padres; me probaron, y vieron mis obras cuarenta años.
When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
where your fathers tested me and tried me, and saw my deeds for forty years.
y así airado he jurado: Que no entrarán jamás en el lugar de mi descanso.
A causa de lo cual me enemisté con esta generación, y dije: Siempre divagan ellos de corazón, y no han conocido mis caminos.
Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
Therefore I was displeased with that generation, and said, ‘They always err in their heart, but they didn’t know my ways.’
Mirad, pues, hermanos, no haya en algunos de vosotros corazón maleado de incredulidad, hasta abandonar al Dios vivo;
Juré, pues, en mi ira: No entrarán en mi reposo.
So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
As I swore in my wrath, ‘They will not enter into my rest.’”
antes amonestaos todos los días los unos a los otros, mientras dura el día que se apellida de hoy, a fin de que ninguno de vosotros llegue a endurecerse con el engañoso atractivo del pecado.
Mirad, hermanos, que en ninguno de vosotros haya corazón malo de incredulidad para apartarse del Dios vivo:
Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there might be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God;
Puesto que venimos a ser participantes de Cristo , con tal que conservemos inviolablemente hasta el fin el principio del nuevo ser suyo que ha puesto en nosotros.
Antes exhortaos los unos á los otros cada día, entre tanto que se dice Hoy; porque ninguno de vosotros se endurezca con engaño de pecado:
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
but exhort one another day by day, so long as it is called “today”, lest any one of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
Mientras se nos dice: Si hoy oyereis su voz, no endurezcáis vuestros corazones, como los israelitas en el tiempo de aquella provocación.
Porque participantes de Cristo somos hechos, con tal que conservemos firme hasta el fin el principio de nuestra confianza;
For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence firm to the end,
Pues algunos de los que la habían oído, irritaron al Señor, aunque no todos aquellos que salieron del Egipto por medio de Moisés.
Entre tanto que se dice: Si oyereis hoy su voz, no endurezcáis vuestros corazones, como en la provocación.
While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
while it is said, “Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.”
Mas ¿contra quiénes estuvo irritado el Señor por espacio de cuarenta años? ¿No fue contra los que pecaron, cuyos cadáveres quedaron tendidos en el desierto?
Porque algunos de los que habían salido de Egipto con Moisés, habiendo oído, provocaron, aunque no todos.
For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
For who, when they heard, rebelled? Wasn’t it all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses?
¿Y a quiénes juró que no entrarían jamás en su descanso, sino a aquellos que fueron incrédulos y desobedientes?
Mas ¿con cuáles estuvo enojado cuarenta años? ¿No fué con los que pecaron, cuyos cuerpos cayeron en el desierto?
But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
With whom was he displeased forty years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?
En efecto, vemos que no pudieron entrar por causa de la incredulidad.
¿Y á quiénes juró que no entrarían en su reposo, sino á aquellos que no obedecieron?
And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
To whom did he swear that they wouldn’t enter into his rest, but to those who were disobedient?
Temamos, pues, que haya alguno entre nosotros que sea excluido de la entrada en el descanso de Dios, por haber despreciado la promesa que de él se nos había hecho.
Y vemos que no pudieron entrar á causa de incredulidad.
So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
We see that they weren’t able to enter in because of unbelief.
