Temamos, pois, para que, havendo sido deixada a promessa de entrar no seu repouso, não pareça que algum de vós tenha ficado para trás.

TEMAMOS, pues, que quedando aún la promesa de entrar en su reposo, parezca alguno de vosotros haberse apartado.

Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

Let’s fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest.

Pois também a nós foi pregado o evangelho, assim como a eles; mas a palavra da pregação nada lhes aproveitou, porque não estava unida pela fé naqueles que a ouviram.

Porque también á nosotros se nos ha evangelizado como á ellos; mas no les aprovechó el oir la palabra á los que la oyeron sin mezclar fe.

For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard didn’t profit them, because it wasn’t mixed with faith by those who heard.

Porque nós, os que cremos, entramos no repouso, como ele disse: Então jurei na minha ira: “Eles não entrarão no meu repouso”; ainda que as suas obras já estivessem terminadas desde a fundação do mundo.

Empero entramos en el reposo los que hemos creído, de la manera que dijo: Como juré en mi ira, no entrarán en mi reposo: aun acabadas las obras desde el principio del mundo.

For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

For we who have believed do enter into that rest, even as he has said, “As I swore in my wrath, they will not enter into my rest;” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Pois, em certo lugar, ele disse assim a respeito do dia sétimo: E Deus repousou no sétimo dia de todas as suas obras.

Porque en un cierto lugar dijo así del séptimo día: Y reposó Dios de todas sus obras en el séptimo día.

For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

For he has said this somewhere about the seventh day, “God rested on the seventh day from all his works;”

E, outra vez neste texto : Não entrarão no meu repouso.

Y otra vez aquí: No entrarán en mi reposo.

And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.

and in this place again, “They will not enter into my rest.”

Portanto, uma vez que resta alguns entrarem no repouso, e que aqueles a quem primeiramente foi pregado o evangelho não entraram por causa da desobediência,

Así que, pues que resta que algunos han de entrar en él, y aquellos á quienes primero fué anunciado no entraron por causa de desobediencia,

Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

Seeing therefore it remains that some should enter into it, and they to whom the good news was preached before failed to enter in because of disobedience,

outra vez ele determina um certo dia, o “hoje”, dizendo por meio de Davi muito tempo depois (como já foi dito): Hoje, se ouvirdes a sua voz, não endureçais os vossos corações.

Determina otra vez un cierto día, diciendo por David: Hoy, después de tanto tiempo; como está dicho: Si oyereis su voz hoy, no endurezcáis vuestros corazones.

Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

he again defines a certain day, “today”, saying through David so long a time afterward (just as has been said), “Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.”

Pois se Josué tivesse lhes dado repouso, ele não teria falado depois a respeito de outro dia.

Porque si Josué les hubiera dado el reposo, no hablaría después de otro día.

For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken afterward of another day.

Portanto, ainda resta um repouso como o do sábado para o povo de Deus.

Por tanto, queda un reposo para el pueblo de Dios.

There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God.

Pois aquele que entrou no seu repouso também repousou das suas obras, assim como Deus das suas.

Porque el que ha entrado en su reposo, también él ha reposado de sus obras, como Dios de las suyas.

For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.

Procuremos, pois, entrar naquele repouso; para que ninguém caia no mesmo exemplo de desobediência.

Procuremos pues de entrar en aquel reposo; que ninguno caiga en semejante ejemplo de desobediencia.

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Let’s therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.

Porque a palavra de Deus é viva e eficaz, e mais afiada do que toda espada de dois gumes, e que penetra até a divisão da alma e do espírito, das juntas e das medulas, e é apta para julgar os pensamentos e intenções do coração.

Porque la palabra de Dios es viva y eficaz, y más penetrante que toda espada de dos filos: y que alcanza hasta partir el alma, y aun el espíritu, y las coyunturas y tuétanos, y discierne los pensamientos y las intenciones del corazón.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

E não há criatura alguma encoberta diante dele; ao contrário, todas as coisas estão nuas e expostas aos olhos daquele a quem temos de prestar contas.

Y no hay cosa criada que no sea manifiesta en su presencia; antes todas las cosas están desnudas y abiertas á los ojos de aquel á quien tenemos que dar cuenta.

Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

There is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him to whom we must give an account.

Já que temos um grande Sumo Sacerdote, Jesus, o Filho de Deus, que passou através dos céus, mantenhamos firme a nossa declaração de fé.

Por tanto, teniendo un gran Pontífice, que penetró los cielos, Jesús el Hijo de Dios, retengamos nuestra profesión.

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

Having then a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let’s hold tightly to our confession.

Pois não temos um Sumo Sacerdote que não possa se compadecer das nossas fraquezas; mas sim, um que foi provado em tudo, conforme a nossa semelhança, mas sem pecado.

Porque no tenemos un Pontífice que no se pueda compadecer de nuestras flaquezas; mas tentado en todo según nuestra semejanza, pero sin pecado.

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

For we don’t have a high priest who can’t be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.

Portanto, acheguemo-nos com confiança ao trono da graça, para que possamos receber misericórdia e encontrar graça para sermos socorridos no tempo adequado.

Lleguémonos pues confiadamente al trono de la gracia, para alcanzar misericordia, y hallar gracia para el oportuno socorro.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need.
