Da nun die Verheißung des Eingehens in seine Ruhe noch unerfüllt geblieben ist, so wollen wir ängstlich darauf bedacht sein, daß es sich bei keinem von euch herausstelle, er sei zurückgeblieben.

TEMAMOS, pues, que quedando aún la promesa de entrar en su reposo, parezca alguno de vosotros haberse apartado.

Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

Let’s fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest.

Denn die Heilsbotschaft ist an uns ebensogut ergangen wie an jene; aber jenen hat das Wort, das sie zu hören bekamen, nichts genützt, weil es bei den Hörern nicht mit dem Glauben vereinigt war.

Porque también á nosotros se nos ha evangelizado como á ellos; mas no les aprovechó el oir la palabra á los que la oyeron sin mezclar fe.

For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard didn’t profit them, because it wasn’t mixed with faith by those who heard.

Wir dagegen, die wir zum Glauben gekommen sind, gehen in die Ruhe ein, wie er gesagt hat: »So daß ich in meinem Zorn schwur: ›Sie sollen nimmermehr in meine Ruhe eingehen!‹« – wiewohl doch das Wirken (Gottes) seit der Vollendung der Weltschöpfung zum Abschluß gekommen war.

Empero entramos en el reposo los que hemos creído, de la manera que dijo: Como juré en mi ira, no entrarán en mi reposo: aun acabadas las obras desde el principio del mundo.

For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

For we who have believed do enter into that rest, even as he has said, “As I swore in my wrath, they will not enter into my rest;” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

Er hat sich ja an einer Stelle über den siebten Tag so ausgesprochen: »Gott ruhte am siebten Tage von allen seinen Werken«;

Porque en un cierto lugar dijo así del séptimo día: Y reposó Dios de todas sus obras en el séptimo día.

For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

For he has said this somewhere about the seventh day, “God rested on the seventh day from all his works;”

an anderer Stelle dagegen heißt es: »Sie sollen nimmermehr in meine Ruhe eingehen!«

Y otra vez aquí: No entrarán en mi reposo.

And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.

and in this place again, “They will not enter into my rest.”

Da also das Eingehen einiger in die Ruhe bestehen bleibt, andrerseits die, welche zuerst die beglückende Botschaft empfangen haben, infolge (ihres) Ungehorsams nicht hineingelangt sind,

Así que, pues que resta que algunos han de entrar en él, y aquellos á quienes primero fué anunciado no entraron por causa de desobediencia,

Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

Seeing therefore it remains that some should enter into it, and they to whom the good news was preached before failed to enter in because of disobedience,

so setzt (Gott) aufs neue einen Tag fest, ein »Heute«, indem er nach so langer Zeit durch David, wie schon vorhin gesagt worden ist, verkündigt: »Heute, wenn ihr seine Stimme hört, verhärtet eure Herzen nicht!«

Determina otra vez un cierto día, diciendo por David: Hoy, después de tanto tiempo; como está dicho: Si oyereis su voz hoy, no endurezcáis vuestros corazones.

Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

he again defines a certain day, “today”, saying through David so long a time afterward (just as has been said), “Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.”

Denn wenn Josua sie wirklich in die Ruhe eingeführt hätte, so würde (Gott) nicht von einem anderen, späteren Tage reden.

Porque si Josué les hubiera dado el reposo, no hablaría después de otro día.

For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken afterward of another day.

Somit bleibt dem Volk Gottes eine Sabbatruhe noch vorbehalten;

Por tanto, queda un reposo para el pueblo de Dios.

There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God.

denn wer in seine Ruhe eingegangen ist, der ist damit auch seinerseits zur Ruhe von seinen Werken gelangt, geradeso wie Gott von den seinigen.

Porque el que ha entrado en su reposo, también él ha reposado de sus obras, como Dios de las suyas.

For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.

So wollen wir also eifrig darauf bedacht sein, in jene Ruhe einzugehen, damit keiner zu Fall kommt und dadurch das gleiche warnende Beispiel des Ungehorsams darbiete.

Procuremos pues de entrar en aquel reposo; que ninguno caiga en semejante ejemplo de desobediencia.

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Let’s therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.

Denn lebendig ist das Wort Gottes und wirkungskräftig und schärfer als jedes zweischneidige Schwert: es dringt hindurch, bis es Seele und Geist, Gelenke und Mark scheidet, und ist ein Richter über die Regungen und Gedanken des Herzens;

Porque la palabra de Dios es viva y eficaz, y más penetrante que toda espada de dos filos: y que alcanza hasta partir el alma, y aun el espíritu, y las coyunturas y tuétanos, y discierne los pensamientos y las intenciones del corazón.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

und es gibt nichts Geschaffenes, das sich vor ihm verbergen könnte, nein, alles liegt entblößt und aufgedeckt vor den Augen dessen, dem wir Rechenschaft abzulegen haben.

Y no hay cosa criada que no sea manifiesta en su presencia; antes todas las cosas están desnudas y abiertas á los ojos de aquel á quien tenemos que dar cuenta.

Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

There is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him to whom we must give an account.

Da wir nun einen großen Hohenpriester haben, der durch die Himmel hindurchgegangen ist, Jesus, den Sohn Gottes, so wollen wir am Bekenntnis (zu ihm) festhalten.

Por tanto, teniendo un gran Pontífice, que penetró los cielos, Jesús el Hijo de Dios, retengamos nuestra profesión.

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

Having then a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let’s hold tightly to our confession.

Wir haben ja (an ihm) nicht einen Hohenpriester, der nicht Mitgefühl mit unsern Schwachheiten haben könnte, sondern einen solchen, der in allen Stücken auf gleiche Weise (wie wir) versucht worden ist, nur ohne Sünde.

Porque no tenemos un Pontífice que no se pueda compadecer de nuestras flaquezas; mas tentado en todo según nuestra semejanza, pero sin pecado.

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

For we don’t have a high priest who can’t be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.

So wollen wir denn mit freudiger Zuversicht zum Thron der Gnade hinzutreten, um Barmherzigkeit zu empfangen und Gnade zu finden zu rechtzeitiger Hilfe.

Lleguémonos pues confiadamente al trono de la gracia, para alcanzar misericordia, y hallar gracia para el oportuno socorro.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need.
