Palabra de Dios para Ti
1Tengamos temor, no sea que, aunque se sostiene la promesa de entrar en su reposo, tal vez alguno de ustedes quede excluido.
2Porque tanto a ellos como a nosotros se nos anunciaron las Buenas Noticias, pero a ellos no los benefició la Palabra de la predicación porque los que la oyeron no la mezclaron con la fe.
3Pero los que creímos entramos en un lugar de reposo. Con respecto a los que no creyeron, dijo: Juré en mi ira, No entrarán en mi reposo. Sin embargo, Él terminó todas las obras desde la fundación del mundo.
4Porque así dijo en algún pasaje con respecto al séptimo día: Dios reposó de todas sus obras el séptimo día.
5Y otra vez en este pasaje: No entrarán en mi reposo.
6Por tanto, puesto que falta que algunos entren en él, y aquellos a quienes primero se les dieron Buenas Noticias no entraron por causa de desobediencia,
7Dios otra vez fija un día: Hoy, cuando dijo después de mucho tiempo por medio de David, como ya se dijo: Hoy. Si escuchan su voz, No endurezcan sus corazones.
8Porque si el mismo Josué los hubiera llevado a un lugar de reposo, no hablaría después de estas cosas con respecto a otro día.
9Así que queda un reposo sabático para el pueblo de Dios.
10Porque el que entró en su reposo, también reposó de sus obras, como Dios de las suyas.
11Procuremos, pues, entrar en aquel reposo, a fin de que ninguno caiga en la misma desobediencia.
12Porque la Palabra de Dios es viva y poderosa, y más cortante que cualquier espada de dos filos. Penetra aun hasta la separación de alma y espíritu, y de coyunturas y tuétanos. Distingue pensamientos e intenciones del corazón.
13No hay criatura que se oculte en su presencia, sino todas las cosas están desnudas y expuestas ante los ojos de Aquél a Quien tendremos que rendir cuenta.
14Puesto que tenemos a Jesús, el Hijo de Dios, el gran Sumo Sacerdote que traspasó los cielos, retengamos la confesión de fe.
15Porque no tenemos un Sumo Sacerdote Quien no se compadece de nuestras debilidades, mas bien tenemos Uno Quien fue tentado en todo según nuestra semejanza, pero no pecó.
16Acerquémonos, pues, con confianza al trono de la gracia para que obtengamos misericordia y hallemos gracia para la ayuda oportuna.

1TEMAMOS, pues, que quedando aún la promesa de entrar en su reposo, parezca alguno de vosotros haberse apartado.
2Porque también á nosotros se nos ha evangelizado como á ellos; mas no les aprovechó el oir la palabra á los que la oyeron sin mezclar fe.
3Empero entramos en el reposo los que hemos creído, de la manera que dijo: Como juré en mi ira, no entrarán en mi reposo: aun acabadas las obras desde el principio del mundo.
4Porque en un cierto lugar dijo así del séptimo día: Y reposó Dios de todas sus obras en el séptimo día.
5Y otra vez aquí: No entrarán en mi reposo.
6Así que, pues que resta que algunos han de entrar en él, y aquellos á quienes primero fué anunciado no entraron por causa de desobediencia,
7Determina otra vez un cierto día, diciendo por David: Hoy, después de tanto tiempo; como está dicho: Si oyereis su voz hoy, no endurezcáis vuestros corazones.
8Porque si Josué les hubiera dado el reposo, no hablaría después de otro día.
9Por tanto, queda un reposo para el pueblo de Dios.
10Porque el que ha entrado en su reposo, también él ha reposado de sus obras, como Dios de las suyas.
11Procuremos pues de entrar en aquel reposo; que ninguno caiga en semejante ejemplo de desobediencia.
12Porque la palabra de Dios es viva y eficaz, y más penetrante que toda espada de dos filos: y que alcanza hasta partir el alma, y aun el espíritu, y las coyunturas y tuétanos, y discierne los pensamientos y las intenciones del corazón.
13Y no hay cosa criada que no sea manifiesta en su presencia; antes todas las cosas están desnudas y abiertas á los ojos de aquel á quien tenemos que dar cuenta.
14Por tanto, teniendo un gran Pontífice, que penetró los cielos, Jesús el Hijo de Dios, retengamos nuestra profesión.
15Porque no tenemos un Pontífice que no se pueda compadecer de nuestras flaquezas; mas tentado en todo según nuestra semejanza, pero sin pecado.
16Lleguémonos pues confiadamente al trono de la gracia, para alcanzar misericordia, y hallar gracia para el oportuno socorro.

1Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
12For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
14Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

1Let’s fear therefore, lest perhaps anyone of you should seem to have come short of a promise of entering into his rest.
2For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard didn’t profit them, because it wasn’t mixed with faith by those who heard.
3For we who have believed do enter into that rest, even as he has said, “As I swore in my wrath, they will not enter into my rest;” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4For he has said this somewhere about the seventh day, “God rested on the seventh day from all his works;”
5and in this place again, “They will not enter into my rest.”
6Seeing therefore it remains that some should enter into it, and they to whom the good news was preached before failed to enter in because of disobedience,
7he again defines a certain day, “today”, saying through David so long a time afterward (just as has been said), “Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.”
8For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken afterward of another day.
9There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God.
10For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his.
11Let’s therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.
12For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
13There is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him to whom we must give an account.
14Having then a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let’s hold tightly to our confession.
15For we don’t have a high priest who can’t be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but one who has been in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.
16Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need.
