A cada sumo sacerdote que es tomado de entre los hombres, se le da su posición de ocuparse de los intereses de los hombres en lo que tiene que ver con Dios, para que haga ofrendas por los pecados.
PORQUE todo pontífice, tomado de entre los hombres, es constituído á favor de los hombres en lo que á Dios toca, para que ofrezca presentes y sacrificios por los pecados:
For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:
For every high priest, being taken from among men, is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.
Él puede sentir por los que no conocen y por los que deambulan por el camino, porque él mismo es humano y débil.
Que se pueda compadecer de los ignorantes y extraviados, pues que él también está rodeado de flaqueza;
Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.
The high priest can deal gently with those who are ignorant and going astray, because he himself is also surrounded with weakness.
Y siendo débil, tiene que hacer ofrendas por el pecado tanto para sí mismo como para la gente.
Y por causa de ella debe, como por sí mismo, así también por el pueblo, ofrecer por los pecados.
And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.
Because of this, he must offer sacrifices for sins for the people, as well as for himself.
Y ningún hombre a quien Dios no haya dado autoridad, como lo fue Aarón, toma este honor para sí mismo.
Ni nadie toma para sí la honra, sino el que es llamado de Dios, como Aarón.
And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.
Nobody takes this honor on himself, but he is called by God, just like Aaron was.
De la misma manera, Cristo no se llevó la gloria de ser hecho sumo sacerdote, sino que se lo dio aquel que dijo: Tú eres mi Hijo, hoy te he engendrado.
Así también Cristo no se glorificó á sí mismo haciéndose Pontífice, mas el que le dijo: Tú eres mi Hijo, yo te he engendrado hoy;
So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.
So also Christ didn’t glorify himself to be made a high priest, but it was he who said to him, “You are my Son. Today I have become your father.”
Como él dice en otro lugar, Eres un sacerdote para siempre según el orden de Melquisedec.
Como también dice en otro lugar: Tú eres sacerdote eternamente, según el orden de Melchîsedec.
As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Mientras Cristo estuvo viviendo aquí en él Mundo, habiendo enviado oraciones y peticiones con gran clamor y llanto a aquel que pudo darle la salvación de la muerte, le respondió su oración por su temor reverente a Dios.
El cual en los días de su carne, ofreciendo ruegos y súplicas con gran clamor y lágrimas al que le podía librar de la muerte, fué oído por su reverencial miedo.
Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
He, in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and petitions with strong crying and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear,
Y a pesar de que él era un Hijo, a través del dolor que sufrió, el conocimiento vino a él de lo que era estar bajo las órdenes de Dios;
Y aunque era Hijo, por lo que padeció aprendió la obediencia;
Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered.
Y cuando se hubo perfeccionado, se convirtió en el dador de la salvación eterna para todos los que le obedecen;
Y consumado, vino á ser causa de eterna salud á todos los que le obedecen;
And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of eternal salvation,
Siendo nombrado por Dios un sumo sacerdote del orden de Melquisedec.

De los cuales tenemos mucho que decir de este asunto, que es difícil explicar, porque ustedes son lentos para entender.

Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.
About him we have many words to say, and hard to interpret, seeing you have become dull of hearing.
Y a pesar de que en este momento deberían ser maestros, todavía necesitan a alguien que les dé enseñanzas sobre las primeras reglas simples de la revelación de Dios; se han convertido en bebés que necesitan leche y no alimentos sólidos.
Porque debiendo ser ya maestros á causa del tiempo, tenéis necesidad de volver á ser enseñados cuáles sean los primeros rudimentos de las palabras de Dios; y habéis llegado á ser tales que tengáis necesidad de leche, y no de manjar sólido.
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
For although by this time you should be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the revelations of God. You have come to need milk, and not solid food.
Porque cualquiera que toma leche no tiene la experiencia de la palabra de justicia; es un niño.
Que cualquiera que participa de la leche, es inhábil para la palabra de la justicia, porque es niño;
For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
For everyone who lives on milk is not experienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby.
Pero la comida sólida es para hombres de pleno crecimiento, incluso para los que ya saben juzgar para ver lo que es bueno y lo que es malo.
Mas la vianda firme es para los perfectos, para los que por la costumbre tienen los sentidos ejercitados en el discernimiento del bien y del mal.
But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.
