Pois todo sumo sacerdote, escolhido dentre o povo, é nomeado para agir em favor do povo nas coisas concernentes a Deus, para oferecer tanto ofertas quanto sacrifícios pelos pecados.
PORQUE todo pontífice, tomado de entre los hombres, es constituído á favor de los hombres en lo que á Dios toca, para que ofrezca presentes y sacrificios por los pecados:
For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:
For every high priest, being taken from among men, is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.
Ele é capaz de tratar com brandura os ignorantes e os que erram, pois ele também está cercado de fraquezas.
Que se pueda compadecer de los ignorantes y extraviados, pues que él también está rodeado de flaqueza;
Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.
The high priest can deal gently with those who are ignorant and going astray, because he himself is also surrounded with weakness.
Por causa disso, ele também precisa oferecer sacrifícios pelos seus próprios pecados, assim como o faz pelos pecados do povo.
Y por causa de ella debe, como por sí mismo, así también por el pueblo, ofrecer por los pecados.
And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.
Because of this, he must offer sacrifices for sins for the people, as well as for himself.
E nenhum homem toma essa honra para si mesmo, mas é chamado por Deus, tal como Arão foi.
Ni nadie toma para sí la honra, sino el que es llamado de Dios, como Aarón.
And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.
Nobody takes this honor on himself, but he is called by God, just like Aaron was.
Assim, Cristo também não honrou a Si mesmo, fazendo-Se sumo sacerdote, mas Aquele que Lhe disse: "Tu és Meu Filho; hoje Eu Te gerei".
Así también Cristo no se glorificó á sí mismo haciéndose Pontífice, mas el que le dijo: Tú eres mi Hijo, yo te he engendrado hoy;
So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.
So also Christ didn’t glorify himself to be made a high priest, but it was he who said to him, “You are my Son. Today I have become your father.”
Conforme também está escrito: "Tu és Sacerdote para sempre segundo a ordem de Melquisedeque".

Durante os dias de Sua carne, Ele ofereceu orações e súplicas, clamando com lágrimas Àquele que era capaz de salvá-Lo da morte. Por causa da Sua piedade, Ele foi ouvido.
El cual en los días de su carne, ofreciendo ruegos y súplicas con gran clamor y lágrimas al que le podía librar de la muerte, fué oído por su reverencial miedo.
Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

Embora fosse Filho, aprendeu a obediência pelas coisas que sofreu.
Y aunque era Hijo, por lo que padeció aprendió la obediencia;

Tendo sido aperfeiçoado, tornou-se fonte da salvação eterna para todos que O obedecem,

Acerca disso, temos muito a dizer, mas é difícil de explicar porque sois lentos para ouvir.
Del cual tenemos mucho que decir, y dificultoso de declarar, por cuanto sois flacos para oir.
Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.
About him we have many words to say, and hard to interpret, seeing you have become dull of hearing.
Embora a esta altura vós já deveríeis ser mestres, ainda é necessário que alguém vos ensine os princípios básicos da Palavra de Deus. Vós necessitais de leite, não de alimento sólido.
Porque debiendo ser ya maestros á causa del tiempo, tenéis necesidad de volver á ser enseñados cuáles sean los primeros rudimentos de las palabras de Dios; y habéis llegado á ser tales que tengáis necesidad de leche, y no de manjar sólido.
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
For although by this time you should be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the revelations of God. You have come to need milk, and not solid food.
Pois todo aquele que bebe apenas leite é inexperiente na palavra da justiça porque é um bebê.
Que cualquiera que participa de la leche, es inhábil para la palabra de la justicia, porque es niño;
For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
For everyone who lives on milk is not experienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby.
Por outro lado, a comida sólida é para adultos, aqueles que, pela prática, têm o entendimento treinado para discernir o bem e o mal.
Mas la vianda firme es para los perfectos, para los que por la costumbre tienen los sentidos ejercitados en el discernimiento del bien y del mal.
But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.
