Cela étant, Dieu, voulant prouver plus abondamment aux héritiers de la promesse la fermeté immuable de sa résolution, est intervenu par un serment ;

Por lo cual, queriendo Dios mostrar más abundantemente á los herederos de la promesa la inmutabilidad de su consejo, interpuso juramento;

Where in God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
