Denn dieser Melchisedek, König von Salem, Priester Gottes, des Höchsten, der Abraham entgegenging, als er von der Schlacht der Könige zurückkehrte, und ihn segnete,

PORQUE este Melchîsedec, rey de Salem, sacerdote del Dios Altísimo, el cual salió á recibir á Abraham que volvía de la derrota de los reyes, y le bendijo,

For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;

For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,

welchem auch Abraham den Zehnten zuteilte von allem; der erstlich verdolmetscht König der Gerechtigkeit heißt, sodann aber auch König von Salem, das ist König des Friedens,

Al cual asimismo dió Abraham los diezmos de todo, primeramente él se interpreta Rey de justicia; y luego también Rey de Salem, que es, Rey de paz;

To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;

to whom also Abraham divided a tenth part of all (being first, by interpretation, “king of righteousness”, and then also “king of Salem”, which means “king of peace”,

ohne Vater, ohne Mutter, ohne Geschlechtsregister, weder Anfang der Tage noch Ende des Lebens habend, aber dem Sohne Gottes verglichen, bleibt Priester auf immerdar.

Sin padre, sin madre, sin linaje; que ni tiene principio de días, ni fin de vida, mas hecho semejante al Hijo de Dios, permanece sacerdote para siempre.

Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.

without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God), remains a priest continually.

Schauet aber, wie groß dieser war, welchem selbst Abraham, der Patriarch, den Zehnten von der Beute gab.

Mirad pues cuán grande fué éste, al cual aun Abraham el patriarca dió diezmos de los despojos.

Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

Now consider how great this man was, to whom even Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth out of the best plunder.

Und zwar haben die von den Söhnen Levi, welche das Priestertum empfangen, ein Gebot, den Zehnten von dem Volke zu nehmen nach dem Gesetz, das ist von ihren Brüdern, wiewohl sie aus den Lenden Abrahams gekommen sind.

Y ciertamente los que de los hijos de Leví toman el sacerdocio, tienen mandamiento de tomar del pueblo los diezmos según la ley, es á saber, de sus hermanos aunque también hayan salido de los lomos de Abraham.

And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:

They indeed of the sons of Levi who receive the priest’s office have a commandment to take tithes from the people according to the law, that is, of their brothers, though these have come out of the body of Abraham,

Er aber, der sein Geschlecht nicht von ihnen ableitete, hat den Zehnten von Abraham genommen und den gesegnet, der die Verheißungen hatte.

Mas aquél cuya genealogía no es contada de ellos, tomó de Abraham los diezmos, y bendijo al que tenía las promesas.

But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.

but he whose genealogy is not counted from them has accepted tithes from Abraham, and has blessed him who has the promises.

Ohne allen Widerspruch aber wird das Geringere von dem Besseren gesegnet.

Y sin contradicción alguna, lo que es menos es bendecido de lo que es más.

And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.

But without any dispute the lesser is blessed by the greater.

Und hier zwar empfangen Menschen, welche sterben, die Zehnten, dort aber einer, von welchem bezeugt wird, daß er lebe;

Y aquí ciertamente los hombres mortales toman los diezmos: mas allí, aquel del cual está dado testimonio que vive.

And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.

Here people who die receive tithes, but there one receives tithes of whom it is testified that he lives.

und sozusagen ist durch Abraham auch Levi, der die Zehnten empfängt, gezehntet worden,

Y, por decirlo así, en Abraham fué diezmado también Leví, que recibe los diezmos;

And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.

We can say that through Abraham even Levi, who receives tithes, has paid tithes,

denn er war noch in der Lende des Vaters, als Melchisedek ihm entgegenging.

Porque aun estaba en los lomos de su padre cuando Melchîsedec le salió al encuentro.

For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.

for he was yet in the body of his father when Melchizedek met him.

Wenn nun die Vollkommenheit durch das levitische Priestertum wäre (denn in Verbindung mit demselben hat das Volk das Gesetz empfangen), welches Bedürfnis war noch vorhanden, daß ein anderer Priester nach der Ordnung Melchisedeks aufstehe, und nicht nach der Ordnung Aarons genannt werde?

Si pues la perfección era por el sacerdocio Levítico (porque debajo de él recibió el pueblo la ley) ¿qué necesidad había aún de que se levantase otro sacerdote según el orden de Melchîsedec, y que no fuese llamado según el orden de Aarón?

If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

Now if perfection was through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people have received the law), what further need was there for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

Denn wenn das Priestertum geändert wird, so findet notwendig auch eine Änderung des Gesetzes statt.

Pues mudado el sacerdocio, necesario es que se haga también mudanza de la ley.

For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

For the priesthood being changed, there is of necessity a change made also in the law.

Denn der, von welchem dies gesagt wird, gehört zu einem anderen Stamme, aus welchem niemand des Altars gewartet hat.

Porque aquel del cual esto se dice, de otra tribu es, de la cual nadie asistió al altar.

For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.

For he of whom these things are said belongs to another tribe, from which no one has officiated at the altar.

Denn es ist offenbar, daß unser Herr aus Juda entsprossen ist, zu welchem Stamme Moses nichts in Bezug auf Priester geredet hat.

Porque notorio es que el Señor nuestro nació de la tribu de Judá, sobre cuya tribu nada habló Moisés tocante al sacerdocio.

For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.

For it is evident that our Lord has sprung out of Judah, about which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.

Und es ist noch weit augenscheinlicher, wenn, nach der Gleichheit Melchisedeks, ein anderer Priester aufsteht,

Y aun más manifiesto es, si á semejanza de Melchîsedec se levanta otro sacerdote,

And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,

This is yet more abundantly evident, if after the likeness of Melchizedek there arises another priest,

der es nicht nach dem Gesetz eines fleischlichen Gebots geworden ist, sondern nach der Kraft eines unauflöslichen Lebens.

El cual no es hecho conforme á la ley del mandamiento carnal, sino según la virtud de vida indisoluble;

Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.

who has been made, not after the law of a fleshly commandment, but after the power of an endless life;

Denn ihm wird bezeugt: "Du bist Priester in Ewigkeit nach der Ordnung Melchisedeks".

Pues se da testimonio de él: Tú eres sacerdote para siempre, según el orden de Melchîsedec.

For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

for it is testified, “You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.”

Denn da ist eine Abschaffung des vorhergehenden Gebots seiner Schwachheit und Nutzlosigkeit wegen

El mandamiento precedente, cierto se abroga por su flaqueza é inutilidad;

For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

For there is an annulling of a foregoing commandment because of its weakness and uselessness

(denn das Gesetz hat nichts zur Vollendung gebracht) und die Einführung einer besseren Hoffnung, durch welche wir Gott nahen.

Porque nada perfeccionó la ley; mas hízolo la introducción de mejor esperanza, por la cual nos acercamos á Dios.

For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

(for the law made nothing perfect), and a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.

Und inwiefern dies nicht ohne Eidschwur geschah,

Y por cuanto no fué sin juramento,

And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:

Inasmuch as he was not made priest without the taking of an oath

(denn jene sind ohne Eidschwur Priester geworden, dieser aber mit Eidschwur durch den, der zu ihm sprach: "Der Herr hat geschworen, und es wird ihn nicht gereuen: Du bist Priester in Ewigkeit nach der Ordnung Melchisedeks "),

(Porque los otros cierto sin juramento fueron hechos sacerdotes; mas éste, con juramento por el que le dijo: Juró el Señor, y no se arrepentirá: Tú eres sacerdote eternamente según el orden de Melchîsedec:)

(For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec:)

(for they indeed have been made priests without an oath), but he with an oath by him that says of him, “The Lord swore and will not change his mind, ‘You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.’”

insofern ist Jesus eines besseren Bundes Bürge geworden.

Tanto de mejor testamento es hecho fiador Jesús.

By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.

By so much, Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant.

Und jener sind mehrere Priester geworden, weil sie durch den Tod verhindert waren zu bleiben;

Y los otros cierto fueron muchos sacerdotes, en cuanto por la muerte no podían permanecer.

And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:

Many, indeed, have been made priests, because they are hindered from continuing by death.

dieser aber, weil er in Ewigkeit bleibt, hat ein unveränderliches Priestertum.

Mas éste, por cuanto permanece para siempre, tiene un sacerdocio inmutable:

But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.

But he, because he lives forever, has his priesthood unchangeable.

Daher vermag er auch völlig zu erretten, die durch ihn Gott nahen, indem er immerdar lebt, um sich für sie zu verwenden.

Por lo cual puede también salvar eternamente á los que por él se allegan á Dios, viviendo siempre para interceder por ellos.

Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them.

Denn ein solcher Hoherpriester geziemte uns: heilig, unschuldig, unbefleckt, abgesondert von den Sündern und höher als die Himmel geworden,

Porque tal pontífice nos convenía: santo, inocente, limpio, apartado de los pecadores, y hecho más sublime que los cielos;

For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

For such a high priest was fitting for us: holy, guiltless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

der nicht Tag für Tag nötig hat, wie die Hohenpriester, zuerst für die eigenen Sünden Schlachtopfer darzubringen, sodann für die des Volkes; denn dieses hat er ein für allemal getan, als er sich selbst geopfert hat.

Que no tiene necesidad cada día, como los otros sacerdotes, de ofrecer primero sacrificios por sus pecados, y luego por los del pueblo: porque esto lo hizo una sola vez, ofreciéndose á sí mismo.

Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

who doesn’t need, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices daily, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. For he did this once for all, when he offered up himself.

Denn das Gesetz bestellt Menschen zu Hohenpriestern, die Schwachheit haben; das Wort des Eidschwurs aber, der nach dem Gesetz gekommen ist, einen Sohn, vollendet in Ewigkeit.

Porque la ley constituye sacerdotes á hombres flacos; mas la palabra del juramento, después de la ley, constituye al Hijo, hecho perfecto para siempre.

For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

For the law appoints men as high priests who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints a Son forever who has been perfected.
