Porque se hizo un primer Tabernáculo, en el cual estaban los candeleros, y la mesa y los panes de la proposición y esta parte es la que se llama lugar santo, o santuario.

TENÍA empero también el primer pacto reglamentos del culto, y santuario mundano.

Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.

Now indeed even the first covenant had ordinances of divine service and an earthly sanctuary.

Se seguía detrás del segundo velo la parte del Tabernáculo que se llama lugar santísimo,

Porque el tabernáculo fué hecho: el primero, en que estaban las lámparas, y la mesa, y los panes de la proposición; lo que llaman el Santuario.

For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.

For a tabernacle was prepared. In the first part were the lamp stand, the table, and the show bread, which is called the Holy Place.

que contenía un incensario de oro; y el arca del Testamento cubierta de oro por todas partes, y allí se guardaba el vaso de oro que contenía el maná, y la vara de Aarón, que floreció, y las tablas de la ley o de la alianza;

Tras el segundo velo estaba el tabernáculo, que llaman el Lugar Santísimo;

And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

After the second veil was the tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies,

y sobre el arca estaban los querubines gloriosos haciendo sombra al propiciatorio, de las cuales cosas no es tiempo de hablar ahora por menor.

El cual tenía un incensario de oro, y el arca del pacto cubierta de todas partes alrededor de oro; en la que estaba una urna de oro que contenía el maná, y la vara de Aarón que reverdeció, y las tablas del pacto;

Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

having a golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which was a golden pot holding the manna, Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant;

Como quiera, dispuestas así estas cosas, en el primer Tabernáculo entraban siempre los sacerdotes para cumplir las funciones de sus ministerios;

Y sobre ella los querubines de gloria que cubrían el propiciatorio; de las cuales cosas no se puede ahora hablar en particular.

And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we can not now speak particularly.

and above it cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat, of which things we can’t speak now in detail.

pero en el segundo el solo sumo sacerdote, una vez al año, no sin llevar allí sangre, la cual ofrecía por sus ignorancias y por las del pueblo,

Y estas cosas así ordenadas, en el primer tabernáculo siempre entraban los sacerdotes para hacer los oficios del culto;

Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

Now these things having been thus prepared, the priests go in continually into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the services,

dando a entender con esto el Espíritu Santo que no estaba todavía patente la entrada del verdadero santuario del cielo, estando aún en pie, o subsistiendo, el primer Tabernáculo.

Mas en el segundo, sólo el pontífice una vez en el año, no sin sangre, la cual ofrece por sí mismo, y por los pecados de ignorancia del pueblo:

But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

but into the second the high priest alone, once in the year, not without blood, which he offers for himself and for the errors of the people.

Todo lo cual era figura de lo que pasa ahora, y pasaba en aquel tiempo en los dones y sacrificios que se ofrecían, los cuales no podían purificar la conciencia de los que tributaban a Dios este culto, pues no consistía sino en viandas, y bebidas,

Dando en esto á entender el Espíritu Santo, que aun no estaba descubierto el camino para el santuario, entre tanto que el primer tabernáculo estuviese en pie.

The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

The Holy Spirit is indicating this, that the way into the Holy Place wasn’t yet revealed while the first tabernacle was still standing.

y diferentes abluciones, y ceremonias carnales, que no fueron establecidas sino hasta el tiempo en que la ley sería corregida o reformada.

Lo cual era figura de aquel tiempo presente, en el cual se ofrecían presentes y sacrificios que no podían hacer perfecto, cuanto á la conciencia, al que servía con ellos;

Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

This is a symbol of the present age, where gifts and sacrifices are offered that are incapable, concerning the conscience, of making the worshiper perfect,

Mas sobreviniendo Cristo sumo sacerdote que nos había de alcanzar los bienes venideros, por medio de un Tabernáculo más excelente y más perfecto, no hecho a mano, esto es, no de fábrica o formación semejante a la nuestra;

Consistiendo sólo en viandas y en bebidas, y en diversos lavamientos, y ordenanzas acerca de la carne, impuestas hasta el tiempo de la corrección.

Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

being only (with foods and drinks and various washings) fleshly ordinances, imposed until a time of reformation.

y presentándose no con sangre de machos cabríos, ni de becerros, sino con la sangre propia, entró una sola vez para siempre en el santuario del cielo habiendo obtenido una eterna redención del género humano.

Mas estando ya presente Cristo, pontífice de los bienes que habían de venir, por el más amplio y más perfecto tabernáculo, no hecho de manos, es á saber, no de esta creación;

But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

But Christ having come as a high priest of the coming good things, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation,

Porque si la sangre de los machos cabríos y de los toros, y la ceniza de la ternera sacrificada, esparcida sobre los inmundos, los santifica en orden a la purificación legal de la carne,

Y no por sangre de machos cabríos ni de becerros, mas por su propia sangre, entró una sola vez en el santuario, habiendo obtenido eterna redención.

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the Holy Place, having obtained eternal redemption.

¿cuánto más la sangre de Cristo , el cual por impulso del Espíritu Santo se ofreció a sí mismo inmaculado a Dios, limpiará nuestras conciencias de las obras muertas de los pecados, para que tributemos un verdadero culto al Dios vivo?

Porque si la sangre de los toros y de los machos cabríos, y la ceniza de la becerra, rociada á los inmundos, santifica para la purificación de la carne,

For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctify to the cleanness of the flesh,

Y por eso es Jesús mediador de un nuevo testamento , a fin de que mediante su muerte para expiación aun de las prevaricaciones cometidas en tiempo del primer Testamento, reciban la herencia eterna prometida a los que han sido llamados de Dios.

¿Cuánto más la sangre de Cristo, el cual por el Espíritu eterno se ofreció á sí mismo sin mancha á Dios, limpiará vuestras conciencias de las obras de muerte para que sirváis al Dios vivo?

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without defect to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Porque donde hay Testamento, es necesario que intervenga la muerte del testador;

Así que, por eso es mediador del nuevo testamento, para que interviniendo muerte para la remisión de las rebeliones que había bajo del primer testamento, los que son llamados reciban la promesa de la herencia eterna.

And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

pues el testamento no tiene fuerza sino por la muerte del que lo otorgó; de otra suerte no vale, mientras tanto que vive el que testó.

Porque donde hay testamento, necesario es que intervenga muerte del testador.

For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

For where a last will and testament is, there must of necessity be the death of him who made it.

Por eso ni aun aquel primer Testamento fue celebrado sin sangre,

Porque el testamento con la muerte es confirmado; de otra manera no es válido entre tanto que el testador vive.

For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

For a will is in force where there has been death, for it is never in force while he who made it lives.

puesto que Moisés, después que hubo leído todos los mandamientos de la ley a todo el pueblo, tomando de la sangre de los novillos, y de los machos cabríos, mezclada con agua, lana teñida de carmesí o de grana, y el hisopo, roció al mismo libro de la ley, y también a todo el pueblo,

De donde vino que ni aun el primero fué consagrado sin sangre.

Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.

Therefore even the first covenant has not been dedicated without blood.

diciendo: Esta es la sangre que servirá de sello del Testamento que Dios os ha ordenado o hecho en favor vuestro.

Porque habiendo leído Moisés todos los mandamientos de la ley á todo el pueblo, tomando la sangre de los becerros y de los machos cabríos, con agua, y lana de grana, é hisopo, roció al mismo libro, y también á todo el pueblo,

For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,

For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,

Y así mismo roció con sangre el Tabernáculo, y todos los vasos del ministerio.

Diciendo: Esta es la sangre del testamento que Dios os ha mandado.

Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.

saying, “This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you.”

Y según la ley casi todas las cosas se purifican con sangre, y sin derramamiento de sangre no se hace la remisión.

Y además de esto roció también con la sangre el tabernáculo y todos los vasos del ministerio.

Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.

He sprinkled the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry in the same way with the blood.

Fue, pues, necesario que las figuras de las cosas celestiales, esto es, el Tabernáculo y sus utensilios, se purificasen con tales ritos; pero las mismas cosas celestiales lo deben ser con víctimas mejores que éstas y así ha sucedido.

Y casi todo es purificado según la ley con sangre; y sin derramamiento de sangre no se hace remisión.

And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

According to the law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.

Porque no entró Jesús en el santuario hecho de mano de hombre, que era figura del verdadero; sino que entró en el cielo mismo para presentarse ahora por nosotros en el acatamiento de Dios;

Fué, pues, necesario que las figuras de las cosas celestiales fuesen purificadas con estas cosas; empero las mismas cosas celestiales con mejores sacrificios que éstos.

It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

It was necessary therefore that the copies of the things in the heavens should be cleansed with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

y no para ofrecerse muchas veces a sí mismo como entra el sumo sacerdote de año en año en el lugar santísimo con sangre ajena y no propia.

Porque no entró Cristo en el santuario hecho de mano, figura del verdadero, sino en el mismo cielo para presentarse ahora por nosotros en la presencia de Dios.

For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

For Christ hasn’t entered into holy places made with hands, which are representations of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us;

De otra manera le hubiera sido necesario padecer muchas veces desde el principio del mundo, cuando ahora una sola vez al cabo de los siglos se presentó para destrucción del pecado, con el sacrificio de sí mismo.

Y no para ofrecerse muchas veces á sí mismo, como entra el pontífice en el santuario cada año con sangre ajena;

Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest enters into the holy place year by year with blood not his own,

Y así como está decretado a los hombres morir una sola vez, y después el juicio,

De otra manera fuera necesario que hubiera padecido muchas veces desde el principio del mundo: mas ahora una vez en la consumación de los siglos, para deshacimiento del pecado se presentó por el sacrificio de sí mismo.

For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

or else he must have suffered often since the foundation of the world. But now once at the end of the ages, he has been revealed to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

así también Cristo ha sido una sola vez inmolado u ofrecido en sacrificio para quitar de raíz los pecados de muchos, y otra vez aparecerá no para expiar los pecados ajenos, sino para dar la salud eterna a los que le esperan con viva fe.

Y de la manera que está establecido á los hombres que mueran una vez, y después el juicio;

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once, and after this, judgment,

Porque no teniendo la ley más que la sombra de los bienes futuros, y no la realidad misma de las cosas, no puede jamás por medio de las mismas víctimas, que no cesan de ofrecerse todos los años, hacer justos y perfectos a los que se acercan al altar y sacrifican;

Así también Cristo fué ofrecido una vez para agotar los pecados de muchos; y la segunda vez, sin pecado, será visto de los que le esperan para salud.

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.
