“Israel é como uma videira de uvas, bem carregada! Mas quanto mais produzia, mais altares idólatras construía. Quanto mais ricas as suas colheitas, mais enfeitava suas estátuas e imagens.
ES Israel una frondosa viña, haciendo fruto para sí: conforme á la multiplicación de su fruto multiplicó altares, conforme á la bondad de su tierra aumentaron sus estatuas.
Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images.
Israel is a luxuriant vine that produces his fruit. According to the abundance of his fruit he has multiplied his altars. As their land has prospered, they have adorned their sacred stones.
Os israelitas são falsos de coração. São culpados e, por isso, devem ser castigados. Deus quebrará os seus altares e destruirá os seus ídolos.
Dividióse su corazón. Ahora serán hallados culpables: él quebrantará sus altares, asolará sus estatuas.

“Eles fazem promessas que nem pensam em cumprir. Por isso, o castigo vai se espalhar entre eles como o mato bravo cresce num campo arado.
Han hablado palabras jurando en vano al hacer alianza: por tanto, el juicio florecerá como ajenjo en los surcos del campo.
They have spoken words, swearing falsely in making a covenant: thus judgment springeth up as hemlock in the furrows of the field.

Os habitantes de Samaria tremem de medo de que o seu bezerro de ouro de Bete-Áven seja destruído. Os sacerdotes idólatras e o povo prantearão porque a glória do seu deus foi tirada deles e levada para o exílio.
Por las becerras de Beth-aven serán atemorizados los moradores de Samaria: porque su pueblo lamentará á causa del becerro, y sus sacerdotes que en él se regocijaban por su gloria, la cual será disipada.
The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because of the calves of Beth-aven: for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the priests thereof that rejoiced on it, for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it.

Esse ídolo — esse deus-bezerro — será arrastado junto com os israelitas para a escravidão na Assíria, como um presente para o grande rei daquela nação. Todos vão zombar de Israel, porque confiou nesse ídolo de madeira. Israel sofrerá muita vergonha!
Y aun será él llevado á Asiria en presente al rey Jareb: Ephraim será avergonzado, é Israel será confuso de su consejo.

Os altares dos ídolos de Áven, em Betel, onde Israel pecou, cairão. À sua volta vão crescer urtigas e espinheiros, e os homens vão gritar para as montanhas: ‘Caiam em cima de nós!’, ‘Esmaguem-nos!’

“Mas vocês plantaram a maldade e acabaram colhendo só pecado. Receberam o preço justo por acreditar numa mentira — pensar que forças militares e muitos soldados podem dar tranquilidade a um país.
Habéis arado impiedad, segasteis iniquidad: comeréis fruto de mentira: porque confiaste en tu camino, en la multitud de tus fuertes.

Por tanto, en tus pueblos se levantará alboroto, y todas tus fortalezas serán destruídas, como destruyó Salmán á Beth-arbel el día de la batalla: la madre fué arrojada sobre los hijos.
Therefore shall a tumult arise among thy people, and all thy fortresses shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Beth-arbel in the day of battle: the mother was dashed in pieces upon her children.

Este será, também, ó Betel, o seu destino, por causa de sua grande maldade. Em apenas uma manhã, o rei de Israel será completamente destruído”.
Así hará á vosotros Beth-el por la maldad de vuestra maldad: en la mañana será del todo cortado el rey de Israel.
So shall Beth-el do unto you because of your great wickedness: in a morning shall the king of Israel utterly be cut off.
So Bethel will do to you because of your great wickedness. At daybreak the king of Israel will be destroyed.
