Era Israel una frondosa viña, que llevó los frutos correspondientes, cuanto más abundó en bienes, tanto mayor número tuvo de altares a los ídolos; y cuanto más fecunda fue su tierra, mayor número tuvo de vanos simulacros.
ES Israel una frondosa viña, haciendo fruto para sí: conforme á la multiplicación de su fruto multiplicó altares, conforme á la bondad de su tierra aumentaron sus estatuas.
Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images.
Israel is a luxuriant vine that produces his fruit. According to the abundance of his fruit he has multiplied his altars. As their land has prospered, they have adorned their sacred stones.
Está dividido su corazón, y perecerán luego. Les hará el Señor pedazos sus simulacros, y derrocará sus altares.
Dividióse su corazón. Ahora serán hallados culpables: él quebrantará sus altares, asolará sus estatuas.
Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images.

Repetid ahora las palabras de la falsa visión de vuestros profetas, ajustad la alianza con el asirio; que a pesar de eso la venganza de Dios brotará como hierba nociva sobre los surcos de un campo sembrado.
Han hablado palabras jurando en vano al hacer alianza: por tanto, el juicio florecerá como ajenjo en los surcos del campo.
They have spoken words, swearing falsely in making a covenant: thus judgment springeth up as hemlock in the furrows of the field.

Adoraron los habitantes de Samaria las vacas de Betaven; y aquel pueblo y sus sacerdotes, que celebraban ya fiesta en honor de aquel becerro, derraman lágrimas, porque queda desvanecida su gloria.
Por las becerras de Beth-aven serán atemorizados los moradores de Samaria: porque su pueblo lamentará á causa del becerro, y sus sacerdotes que en él se regocijaban por su gloria, la cual será disipada.

Pues el becerro fue transportado a Asiria, y sirvió de donativo o presente al rey que habían tomado por defensor, cubierto de ignominia quedará Efraín; Israel será afrentado por sus antojos.
Y aun será él llevado á Asiria en presente al rey Jareb: Ephraim será avergonzado, é Israel será confuso de su consejo.

He aquí lo que debéis a Betel; tal es el resultado de vuestras perversas maldades.
Así hará á vosotros Beth-el por la maldad de vuestra maldad: en la mañana será del todo cortado el rey de Israel.
So shall Beth-el do unto you because of your great wickedness: in a morning shall the king of Israel utterly be cut off.
So Bethel will do to you because of your great wickedness. At daybreak the king of Israel will be destroyed.
