Je les ai menés avec des cordes d'humanité, avec les liens de l'amour; comme qui aurait soulevé le joug †posé sur leurs mâchoires, ainsi ai-je été pour eux: je leur ai présenté de la nourriture.

Con cuerdas humanas los traje, con cuerdas de amor: y fuí para ellos como los que alzan el yugo de sobre sus mejillas, y llegué hacia él la comida.

I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them.

I drew them with cords of a man, with ties of love; and I was to them like those who lift up the yoke on their necks; and I bent down to him and I fed him.
