Así como los llamaban, iban: presentaron sacrificios a Baal y ofrecieron incienso a los ídolos.

Yo mismo enseñé a Efraín a caminar, llevándolo de la mano, pero no reconocieron que yo era su sanador.
Yo con todo eso guiaba en pies al mismo Ephraim, tomándolos de sus brazos; y no conocieron que yo los cuidaba.
I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them.
Yet I taught Ephraim to walk. I took them by their arms, but they didn’t know that I healed them.
Los conduje con cuerdas de bondad, con lazos de amor. Yo era quien aliviaba su carga y me agachaba para alimentarlos.
Con cuerdas humanas los traje, con cuerdas de amor: y fuí para ellos como los que alzan el yugo de sobre sus mejillas, y llegué hacia él la comida.
I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them.

Sin embargo, como mi pueblo se niega a regresar a mi, tampoco volverán a la tierra de Egipto sino que Asiria será su rey.
No tornará á tierra de Egipto, antes el mismo Assur será su rey, porque no se quisieron convertir.
He shall not return into the land of Egypt, but the Assyrian shall be his king, because they refused to return.
“They won’t return into the land of Egypt; but the Assyrian will be their king, because they refused to repent.
Habrá guerra en sus ciudades que porndrá fin a su jactancia y destruirá sus planes.
Y caerá espada sobre sus ciudades, y consumirá sus aldeas; consumirálas á causa de sus consejos.
And the sword shall abide on his cities, and shall consume his branches, and devour them, because of their own counsels.
The sword will fall on their cities, and will destroy the bars of their gates, and will put an end to their plans.
Mi pueblo insiste en su apostasía. Lo llaman “dios en lo alto” pero él no los levnatará.
Entre tanto, está mi pueblo adherido á la rebelión contra mí: aunque lo llaman al Altísimo, ninguno absolutamente quiere ensalzarle.
And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them to the most High, none at all would exalt him.
My people are determined to turn from me. Though they call to the Most High, he certainly won’t exalt them.
¿Cómo podría abandonarte, Efraín? ¿Cómo podría dejarte ir, Israel? ¿Cómo podría hacer contigo lo mismo que con Adamá? ¿Cómo podría tratarte como a Seboín? Mi corazón se hace pedazos, y reboso en compasión.
¿Cómo tengo de dejarte, oh Ehpraim? ¿he de entregarte yo, Israel? ¿cómo podré yo hacerte como Adma, ni ponerte como á Zeboim? Mi corazón se revuelve dentro de mí, inflámanse todas mis conmiseraciones.
How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.
“How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I make you like Zeboiim? My heart is turned within me, my compassion is aroused.
No cederé al ardor de mi ira, no destruiré a Efraín de nuevo. Porque yo soy Dios, y no un ser humano. Yo soy el Santo que vive entre ustedes. No entraré en sus ciudades.
No ejecutaré el furor de mi ira, no volveré para destruir á Ephraim: porque Dios soy, y no hombre; el Santo en medio de ti: y no entraré en la ciudad.
I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.
I will not execute the fierceness of my anger. I will not return to destroy Ephraim, for I am God, and not man—the Holy One among you. I will not come in wrath.
El pueblo me segirá a mi, al Señor. El Señor rugirá como león y entonces sus hijos vendrán temblando desde el oeste.
En pos de Jehová caminarán: él bramará como león: cual león rugirá él de cierto, y los hijos se moverán azorados del occidente.
They shall walk after the LORD: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west.
They will walk after the LORD, who will roar like a lion; for he will roar, and the children will come trembling from the west.
Como una bandada de aves, vendrán desde Egipto. Como palomas vendrán de Asiria, y yo los traeré de nuevo a casa, dice el Señor.
Como ave se moverán velozmente de Egipto, y de la tierra de Asiria como paloma; y pondrélos en sus casas, dice Jehová.
They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, saith the LORD.
They will come trembling like a bird out of Egypt, and like a dove out of the land of Assyria; and I will settle them in their houses,” says the LORD.
Efraín me rodea con sus mentiras e Israel con engaño. Judá aún anda errante con algún dios, fiel a algún “Santo”.

Ephraim compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the saints.
Ephraim surrounds me with falsehood, and the house of Israel with deceit. Judah still strays from God, and is unfaithful to the Holy One.
