CERCÓME Ephraim con mentira, y la casa de Israel con engaño: mas Judá aun domina con Dios, y es fiel con los santos.
Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.

O SENHOR também tem uma briga judicial com Judá, e punirá Jacó conforme seus caminhos; ele lhe retribuirá conforme seus atos.

E Efraim diz: Certamente eu sou rico; tenho obtido para mim muitos bens; em todo o meu trabalho ninguém pode achar em mim perversidade que seja pecado.
Es mercader que tiene en su mano peso falso, amador de opresión.
And Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance: in all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that were sin.
Ephraim said, “Surely I have become rich. I have found myself wealth. In all my wealth they won’t find in me any iniquity that is sin.”
Porém eu sou o SENHOR teu Deus, desde a terra do Egito; eu ainda te farei morar em tendas, como nos dias solenes.
Y dijo Ephraim: Ciertamente yo he enriquecido, hallado he riquezas para mí: nadie hallará en mí iniquidad, ni pecado en todos mis trabajos.

Mas Jacó fugiu à terra de Arã, e Israel serviu em troca de uma mulher, e por uma mulher apascentou ovelhas .
¿Es Galaad iniquidad? Ciertamente vanidad han sido: en Gilgal sacrificaron bueyes: y aun son sus altares como montones en los surcos del campo.
And Jacob fled into the country of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep.
Jacob fled into the country of Aram. Israel served to get a wife. For a wife he tended flocks and herds.
Mas o SENHOR por um profeta fez subir a Israel do Egito, e por um profeta foi preservado.
Mas Jacob huyó á tierra de Aram, y sirvió Israel por mujer, y por mujer fué pastor.
And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.

Porém Efraim o ofendeu amargamente; por isso deixará a culpa de seus sangues sobre ele, e seu Senhor lhe retribuirá sua desonra.
Y por profeta hizo subir Jehová á Israel de Egipto, y por profeta fué guardado. Enojado ha Ephraim á Dios con amarguras; por tanto, sus sangres se derramarán sobre él, y su Señor le pagará su oprobio.
Ephraim provoked him to anger most bitterly: therefore shall he leave his blood upon him, and his reproach shall his Lord return unto him.
Ephraim has bitterly provoked anger. Therefore his blood will be left on him, and his Lord will repay his contempt.
