(H12-2) Efraim si pasce di vento e va dietro al vento d’oriente; ogni giorno moltiplica le menzogna e le violenze; fa alleanza con l’Assiria, e porta dell’olio in Egitto.
CERCÓME Ephraim con mentira, y la casa de Israel con engaño: mas Judá aun domina con Dios, y es fiel con los santos.
Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.
Ephraim feeds on wind, and chases the east wind. He continually multiplies lies and desolation. They make a covenant with Assyria, and oil is carried into Egypt.
(H12-3) L’Eterno è anche in lite con Giuda, e punirà Giacobbe per la sua condotta, gli renderà secondo le sue opere.
Ephraim se apacienta del viento, y sigue al solano: mentira y destrucción aumenta continuamente; porque hicieron alianza con los Asirios, y aceite se lleva á Egipto.
The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.

(H12-4) Nel seno materno egli prese il fratello per il calcagno, e, nel suo vigore, lottò con Dio;
Pleito tiene Jehová con Judá para visitar á Jacob conforme á sus caminos: pagarále conforme á sus obras.
He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God:
In the womb he took his brother by the heel, and in his manhood he contended with God.
(H12-5) lottò con l’angelo, e restò vincitore; egli pianse e lo supplicò. A Bethel lo trovò, e quivi egli parlò con noi.
En el vientre tomó por el calcañar á su hermano, y con su fortaleza venció al ángel.
Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Beth-el, and there he spake with us;
Indeed, he struggled with the angel, and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication to him. He found him at Bethel, and there he spoke with us—
(H12-6) Or l’Eterno è l’Iddio degli eserciti; il suo nome è l’Eterno
Venció al ángel, y prevaleció; lloró, y rogóle: en Beth-el le halló, y allí habló con nosotros.
Even the LORD God of hosts; the LORD is his memorial.
even the LORD, the God of Armies. The LORD is his name of renown!
(H12-7) Tu, dunque, torna al tuo Dio, pratica la misericordia e la giustizia, e spera sempre nel tuo Dio.
Mas Jehová es Dios de los ejércitos: Jehová es su memorial.
Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment, and wait on thy God continually.
Therefore turn to your God. Keep kindness and justice, and wait continually for your God.
(H12-8) Efraim è un Cananeo che tiene in mano bilance false; egli ama estorcere.
Tú pues, conviértete á tu Dios: guarda misericordia y juicio, y en tu Dios espera siempre.
He is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress.
A merchant has dishonest scales in his hand. He loves to defraud.
(H12-9) Efraim dice: “E’ vero, io mi sono arricchito, mi sono acquistato de’ beni; però, in tutti i frutti delle mie fatiche non si troverà alcuna mia iniquità, alcunché di peccaminoso”.
Es mercader que tiene en su mano peso falso, amador de opresión.
And Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance: in all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that were sin.
Ephraim said, “Surely I have become rich. I have found myself wealth. In all my wealth they won’t find in me any iniquity that is sin.”
(H12-10) Ma io sono l’Eterno, il tuo Dio, fin dal paese d’Egitto: io ti farò ancora abitare in tende, come nei giorni di solennità.
Y dijo Ephraim: Ciertamente yo he enriquecido, hallado he riquezas para mí: nadie hallará en mí iniquidad, ni pecado en todos mis trabajos.
And I that am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt will yet make thee to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast.
“But I am the LORD your God from the land of Egypt. I will yet again make you dwell in tents, as in the days of the solemn feast.
(H12-11) Ed ho parlato hai profeti, ho moltiplicato le visioni, e per mezzo de’ profeti ha proposto parabole.
Empero yo soy Jehová tu Dios desde la tierra de Egipto: aun te haré morar en tiendas, como en los días de la fiesta.
I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.
I have also spoken to the prophets, and I have multiplied visions; and by the ministry of the prophets I have used parables.
(H12-12) Se Galaad è vanità, sarà ridotto in nulla. A Ghilgal immolano buoi; così i loro altari saran come mucchi di pietre sui solchi dei campi.
Y hablado he á los profetas, y yo aumenté la profecía, y por mano de los profetas puse semejanzas.
Is there iniquity in Gilead? surely they are vanity: they sacrifice bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the fields.
If Gilead is wicked, surely they are worthless. In Gilgal they sacrifice bulls. Indeed, their altars are like heaps in the furrows of the field.
(H12-13) Giacobbe fuggì nella pianura d’Aram, e Israele servì per una moglie, e per una moglie si fe’ guardiano di greggi.
¿Es Galaad iniquidad? Ciertamente vanidad han sido: en Gilgal sacrificaron bueyes: y aun son sus altares como montones en los surcos del campo.
And Jacob fled into the country of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep.
Jacob fled into the country of Aram. Israel served to get a wife. For a wife he tended flocks and herds.
(H12-14) Mediante un profeta, l’Eterno trasse Israele fuori d’Egitto; e Israele fu custodito da un profeta.
Mas Jacob huyó á tierra de Aram, y sirvió Israel por mujer, y por mujer fué pastor.
And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.
By a prophet the LORD brought Israel up out of Egypt, and by a prophet he was preserved.
(H12-15) Efraim ha provocato amaramente il suo Signore; perciò questi gli farà ricadere addosso il sangue che ha versato; e farà tornare su lui i suoi obbrobri.
Y por profeta hizo subir Jehová á Israel de Egipto, y por profeta fué guardado. Enojado ha Ephraim á Dios con amarguras; por tanto, sus sangres se derramarán sobre él, y su Señor le pagará su oprobio.
Ephraim provoked him to anger most bitterly: therefore shall he leave his blood upon him, and his reproach shall his Lord return unto him.
Ephraim has bitterly provoked anger. Therefore his blood will be left on him, and his Lord will repay his contempt.
