Ouvi a palavra de Yahweh, vós povo de Israel. Yahweh tem uma acusação contra os habitantes da terra, porque não há verdade nem misericórdia e não há conhecimento de Deus na terra.

Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

Há maldição, mentira, matança, roubo e adultério. O povo transgrediu todos os limites, e multiplicou-se o derramamento de sangue.
Perjurar, y mentir, y matar, y hurtar y adulterar prevalecieron, y sangres se tocaron con sangres.
By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.
There is cursing, lying, murder, stealing, and committing adultery; they break boundaries, and bloodshed causes bloodshed.

O meu povo está sendo destruído por falta de conhecimento. Porque vós, sacerdotes, rejeitastes o conhecimento, também Eu vos rejeitarei como Meus sacerdotes. Porque esquecestes a Minha Lei, embora Eu seja o vosso Deus, Eu também Me esquecerei dos vossos filhos.

Meu povo consulta os seus ídolos de madeira, e as suas bengalas lhes dão profecias. Pois uma mente de promiscuidade os desviou, e agiram como prostitutas, ao invés de serem fiéis ao seu Deus.
Mi pueblo á su madero pregunta, y su palo le responde: porque espíritu de fornicaciones lo engañó, y fornicaron debajo de sus dioses.
My people ask counsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the spirit of whoredoms hath caused them to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God.
My people consult with their wooden idol, and answer to a stick of wood. Indeed the spirit of prostitution has led them astray, and they have been unfaithful to their God.

Pois, Israel se comportou teimosamente, como uma vitela rebelde. Como pode Yahweh levá-los para um pasto, como o de cordeiros numa campina espaçosa?
Porque como becerra cerrera se apartó Israel: ¿apacentarálos ahora Jehová como á carneros en anchura?
For Israel slideth back as a backsliding heifer: now the LORD will feed them as a lamb in a large place.
For Israel has behaved extremely stubbornly, like a stubborn heifer. Then how will the LORD feed them like a lamb in a meadow?
Efraim se juntou aos ídolos; deixa-o só.
Ephraim es dado á ídolos; déjalo.

Mesmo quando a sua bebida forte acaba, eles continuam a cometer adultério; os seus líderes amam, apaixonadamente, a sua vergonha.
Su bebida se corrompió; fornicaron pertinazmente: sus príncipes amaron las dádivas, afrenta de ellos.
Their drink is sour: they have committed whoredom continually: her rulers with shame do love, Give ye.

O vento os envolveu nas suas asas, e serão envergonhados por causa dos seus sacrifícios.
