¿Y qué haréis en el día de la visitación? ¿y á quién os acogeréis que os ayude, cuando viniere de lejos el asolamiento? ¿y en dónde dejaréis vuestra gloria?
And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?

Comme je les ai prises, ainsi je prendrai tous les royaumes. Lamentez- vous, statues de Jérusalem et de Samarie !

Mais la cognée peut-elle se glorifier sans celui qui s'en sert pour abattre ? La scie peut-elle s'enorgueillir sans celui qui la tire ? Il faut bien que quelqu'un lève la verge ou le bâton ; mais non.
¿Gloriaráse el hacha contra el que con ella corta? ¿se ensoberbecerá la sierra contra el que la mueve? como si el bordón se levantase contra los que lo levantan; como si se levantase la vara: ¿no es leño?
Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood.
Should an ax brag against him who chops with it? Should a saw exalt itself above him who saws with it? As if a rod should lift those who lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up someone who is not wood.
Le Seigneur des armées enverra contre ton honneur le déshonneur, et contre ta gloire il allumera un feu ardent.
Por tanto el Señor Jehová de los ejércitos enviará flaqueza sobre sus gordos; y debajo de su gloria encenderá encendimiento, como ardor de fuego.

La gloria de su bosque y de su campo fértil consumirá, desde el alma hasta la carne: y vendrá á ser como abanderado en derrota.

For the Lord GOD of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined, in the midst of all the land.

A cause de cela, voici ce que dit le Seigneur des armées : Ne crains pas, ô mon peuple ; habitants de Sion, ne craignez pas l'Assyrien ; il te frappera avec une verge ; car j'amènerai sur toi cette plaie, pour que tu y reconnaisses la voie d'Égypte.
Por tanto el Señor Jehová de los ejércitos dice así: Pueblo mío, morador de Sión, no temas de Assur. Con vara te herirá, y contra ti alzará su palo, á la manera de Egipto:
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.

Encore un peu de temps, et ma colère s'apaisera ; mais alors mon courroux se tournera contre les conseils de tes ennemis.
Mas de aquí á muy poco tiempo, se acabará el furor y mi enojo, para fenecimiento de ellos.
For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.

Voilà que le maître, le Seigneur des armées, va de sa puissance confondre ces glorieux ; et les grands seront brisés avec leur orgueil ; et les superbes seront humiliés,
He aquí el Señor Jehová de los ejércitos desgajará el ramo con fortaleza: y los de grande altura serán cortados, y los altos serán humillados.
Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.
Behold, the Lord, GOD of Armies, will lop the boughs with terror. The tall will be cut down, and the lofty will be brought low.
Et les superbes périront car le glaive ; et le Liban tombera avec ses cîmes.
Y cortará con hierro la espesura del bosque, y el Líbano caerá con fortaleza.
